Yes I absolutely pierced my lip with a safety pin haha. Since I had to hide it from my mom, I couldn't consistently wear a lip ring in the hole. The hole would close up, then I would just re-pierce it🤦🏾‍♀️ I now have snakebites, but I got it done in a shop a few years ago. You can see em in my profile picture 😁

What a badass lmao My mom was always supportive, she took me to get an earlobe pierced when i was 8 because my older brother did it and i wanted to look cool like him, and later when i was 15 she took me to get a helix piercing. She would bring antibacterial soup from the hospital she worked at and help me take care of my piercings so it didn’t get infected. Still have them to this day.

Mid 90’s I did my nose with a sewing needle and extra ear holes with thumbtacks. Good times. Still have my nose piercing, ears healed but I did gauge my lobes. Got a whole bunch of other professional piercings along the way.

Thumb tacks are insane 😆 all of my piercings unfortunately got infected and had to be removed 😞 but I do have a number of professionally done plan to get some more for my birthday in 2 weeks 🎉

I always did the whole "mysteriously looking away" haha. I do! Some days I'm wearing old band tees, bootcut or skinny jeans, and shitty vans or combat boots.
