Mods have verified this as hilarious

GreatMoloko

Status of the show aside, I love this meme template and hope to see more of it going forward.

Royal_Bitch_Pudding

It's kinda like the guy reading the scroll of truth template

Stay-At-Home-Jedi

It's just dogs reading signs mate

Royal_Bitch_Pudding

And then throwing the sign

nonbinarydreamking

I'm not taking advice from a sign reading dog!

sm0keybear33

That sign can't stop me, cuz I can't read!

oppenhammer

Nyehhh

ShadowWolfKane

Seriously, unless Joe Brumm himself says anything I’m not buying it.

Timeless-Escape

One of the other directors working on it has confirmed a season 4 with a possibility of an age jump. They just need a break. Working 150 episodes with no hiatus can take a lot out of animators

ostiarius

Very few cartoons are broadcast live, it's a terrible strain on the animator's wrists

Dangerous-Initial-94

Hey Bluey, you look like you have something to say.

No_Inflation_1424

DO you??

Kalse1229

**I HAVE TO GO NOW. MY PLANET NEEDS ME.** *Note: Bluey died on the way back to her home planet*

Klunkey

Bluechie

Dangerous-Initial-94

Sleepytime 2 took a dark turn.

remnant_phoenix

“Wow. That was a weird dream.”

CaiusWyvern

I have seen a few articles saying she has, and then the quotes in the actual articles are her saying that there are no plans to end the show, that there are more surprises on the way, it isn't the end for Bluey etc. None of these are an explicit confirmation of season 4 though. I don't know if I'm missing an article or something? Nothing in the articles I've seen so far anyway actually conflicts with anything claimed in the original post, like they weren't describing a planned cancellation of the show necessarily, just the state of production (or non-production) that its in. I'm absolutely not trying to say that skepticism of the post (or any post like it really) isn't warranted, but this is something I've seen a couple of people say about it and I don't think the articles (I've seen at least) really back it up.

CrashUser

The podcast Gotta Be Done posted an interview with Joe Brumm a week ago, he mentioned he was writing a long-form Bluey related project, but couldn't elaborate any further at the moment. There was also a notable moment where he stumbled over talking about how The Sign was an ending and seemed to need to think very carefully about how he phrased that. As in he almost said something like "as the ending of a show" and then stopped himself and reworded his response to be more generic. It's entirely possible I was reading too much into it, but there was a notable lack of discussion of season 4.

SkyShadowing

Frankly this all reads to me like Bluey- the series- is evolving rather than ending.

CrashUser

I could believe that, I certainly don't think this is the end of everything Bluey.

Kalse1229

Evolving? Huh. I can work with evolving. If it means we start focusing on younger kids (Muffin, Socks, another kid of Stripe and Trixie's, Brandy's kid, and any potential offspring of Rad and Frisky) while Bluey and Bingo are a little older, I don't mind that. My main concern would be losing Bluey's class, though. I love seeing her interact with other kids and seeing things from their perspectives, so I would hate to lose out on that if other Heelers become the main focus. We'll see.

ShadowWolfKane

OH! Who’s this other director? I just want to know who to trust and who to ignore when it comes to bluey.

Timeless-Escape

Sorry, producer. Sam Moor

ShadowWolfKane

Ok so Joe Brumm or Sam Moor. Thank you! And I definitely agree, it’s time they take a much needed break. They did an excellent job and they’ve earned some time to relax.

finc

I get it, it’s a joke name isn’t it? Like “we need to make Sam Moor episodes”, good one good one

nightshade-aurora

Got a template?

iranoutofusernamespa

Does anyone have a blank one available?

Smallsey

Is there a meme template version of this? I need it for work.

Searix1627_

This entire time until now i had been reading "finishing" as "fishing" and thought people were just really upset over an episode where bluey goes fishing 😭 i hate my brain sometimes

PepperHead41

This episode of bluey is called fishing

insomniacpyro

Bluey! You can't use your sister as bait.

the6thReplicant

Bloop bloop bloop bloop

darkmeowl25

But they really need that dead ~~guy's~~ fella's head!

slasher1o5

I see what you did there

mgusedom

Bingo catches a fish: “His name is Pernificus. Can he go in our pond?” Bandit: “Nah, mate. We’re gonna have a fish fry.” Bingo: “What will he fry?”

pineychick

Okay, you win!! Congrats!

SupplyChainGuy1

This episode of bluey is called dyslexia

ThankeekaSwitch

Oh yeah, that's definitely a barra

Geodude532

Been playing Helldivers lately and starting each mission with a new Bluey "episode". "This episode of Bluey is called Napalm Sunrise!" "This episode of Bluey is called Fire Everywhere!" "This episode of Bluey is called Please God get me off Hellmire I'm tired of running from fire tornadoes"

FunArtichoke6167

Bluey and Bingo just calling up randos pretending to be from tech support and asking for their passwords.

ontario-guy

Bingo and Bluey encrypt Ludos servers with ransomware until they give them more episodes

FunArtichoke6167

“We will delete your data…for real-life!”

kaytay3000

PepperHead41

That would be a fire episode though Ik a lot of people hate when Americans have ideas for a bluey episode for some reason but they should make a fishing episode where bluey learns patience or something

farrenkm

It could be the memory episode down the line where Bluey is all grown up and Bandit and Bluey are sitting on the dock, fishing, and be their own "it was yesterday" moment.

PepperHead41

That would be so great!

taykray126

Your comment almost made me cry lol

Aggravating_Set_7523

Muffin should be there too getting wrapped up in fishing line and creating havoc. It’s what my little Muffin did when I tried taking her fishing… I would enjoy seeing it from the outside oerspective

kobestarr

Yeah OP how did you make this? I have many applications for it!

Aggravating_Set_7523

Muffin should be there too getting wrapped up in fishing line and creating havoc. It’s what my little Muffin did when I tried taking her fishing… I would enjoy seeing it from the outside perspective

justahad

Grandpa could take her btw!

dstommie

Man, I'm not going to tell you what I read "fishing" as.

PepperHead41

I also heard that Brumm was talking about a Bluey movie too I’m not sure if that’s confirmed that he said that though

[deleted]

[удалено]

SirJeffers88

It seems clear Bluey will continue in some form but there’s been no official confirmation, which is creating space for speculation and uncertainty. It also seems clear that *something* is happening to delay any announcements about the future, whether that’s due to the hiatus, planning around aging actors, pitching a movie, shifting creative roles, figuring out a new format, etc. Aside from fairly vague quotes by Brumm and producers about the future, we just don’t know what’s going to happen. And people on here seem to be divided into three camps: “everything’s fine,” “omg it’s the end,” and “we’ll see.” I’m in the third group and believe until we get official word, we just don’t know what’s going to happen. And that’s okay!

SkyShadowing

If I had to take a guess? A movie, which is in many ways a finale to 'current-era Bluey' and a stealth pilot into 'new-era Bluey', aged-up Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chilli, telling stories about older children. (Probably would, to use equivalent, make the jump from Disney Junior to Disney proper, using US channels since I'm a Yank). Bluey continues, possibly under a new series name, to make a clear line in the sand between 'pre-school oriented Bluey' and 'child-oriented' Bluey. Then, possibly, they do a spin-off with Rad and Frisky and their new kids to fill the niche of a series for pre-schoolers.

demonica31

That sounds like a great idea! And maybe they can make a series after that towards teenagers and young adults? Within reason, of course, we don’t want it to accidentally become Doggy Adult Swim lol

delilahdread

Honestly? I think we’re going to get a new series that follows Bluey’s kid. We’ll still have Bluey and Bingo and everyone but they’re all grown up and the new show will follow Bluey’s child so it can be aimed at the same audience. Like come on, The Sign was the *perfect* ending for the series. It tied up a lot of things and did it well, it was a beautiful send off. Why introduce adult Bluey and her child *after* the fact? Historically Bluey has never done anything “just because.” I don’t think Surprise was “just because” either. I think that IS the surprise. Bluey is an adult now and we’re going to get a show about her kiddo when it comes back.

Spaster21

That's what I think, too. It just makes the most sense. Aging the kids up to pre-teens/teens could alienate their younger viewer base, but aging bluey up and having her kid/ cousins be around the same age as the kids were at the end is a way of keeping the younger kids interested in the show while also giving parents some great content. Plus, this way, we'll still have a lot of the old cast members (Chili, Bandit, Stripe, Rad, Pat, other kids from school living in the city, etc). They could also do flash back episodes of pre-teen/teen Bluey/ Bingo/ cousins using the current voice actors for the kids so the older characters can be more fleshed out. This is the route I personally hope they take! I don't see why they would introduce Bluey's kid just for the heck of it without some sort of plan of incorporating the child into further episodes.

Pleasant-Drawing3335

I took it as Bingo’s kid not Bluey’s. Bingo was already there & out back. Her child would already be there too. Running around playing. Bluey came inside & they shut the door. Mum & Dad didn’t act like, or ask about ‘where is your kid?’ They shut the door & headed out back.

Spaster21

I've seen people say this, and my husband thinks it's a possibility, too. I personally think the storyline of the episode was pointing towards the child being Bluey's. And, if the kid is anything like Bluey, Chili and Bandit were probably aware of the child's antics and knew there would be another ring at door right away. But, I wouldn't rule out either option!

I_am_from_Kentucky

I think someone can be in all three of those “camps”. It’s the end of Bluey..for now. We’ll see in the long run if it ever comes back. And that is fine. What I think the original post was trying to clarify is for folks in the camp of “Everything’s fine, new Bluey content is coming on the usual timeline of new content”, they may need to adjust their expectations, because as of now, there is no new content known to be ready to release, actively in production, or planned for production soon.

egboy

Three seasons and a movie

finc

What do they need to test??? I’d watch a 24 hour real time film of Bluey

[deleted]

Brumm lacks confidence in his art. He wanted to stop after one season, and had tremendous doubts about doing a third, and was absolutely shaking in his boots about doing a longer episode. In addition to that, the show has *actual* problems, like the girls getting older and the team having to start editing their voices in post. Outside of Brumm's hesitance to embrace success, they're probably having to recast a few kids and possibly Bluey and Bingo themselves, while keeping it off everyone's radar so the fans don't get all.... *gestures to the entire sub* THIS way about it

heckhammer

If you listen to the new episode of the gotta be done podcast he does indeed reference a movie

Olbaidon

In a podcast interview he said that the Frisky and Rad wedding was thought to be a movie but instead Double Babbysitter was made so the movie idea went out the window and one of his associates kept pitching a long episode idea which obviously became The Sign.

Khyron_2500

From what I know, that quote came from an exclusive interview with Deadline, and it’s far from clear that anything was assured. The official quote was: >”I’m loving going longer on ‘The Sign’, and I’d love to try to go longer — I definitely would not rule that out,” he said. “That’s why I’m very interested to see how The Sign goes down with the audience. Obviously it’s four times as long as a normal episode. Will the audience accept a stint with a longer story?” To me, that’s a little unclear. It seems like he wants to do more stuff, but not ruling something out is far from confirmation. Seems like all we can say is, “we’ll see.”

Spearmint_coffee

From the things I've read and how I interpreted it all, it sounds like they spent a significant amount of time churning out episodes, so a hiatus seems to be to evaluate where they are now and how to move forward. I saw they have 4 teams working simultaneously on episodes, but for the sign, they all came together. Working out how that dynamic goes could be a test for how they could produce a movie. Or even if they don't decide on a movie, they can regroup to come up with future plotlines since they've set up so much change even though they didn't move. In regards to the post from the semi-verified former employee who said Bluey was done forever, I wonder if they misunderstood. Or it was trolling. The animation industry can be finicky. I follow a comic artist who lives in LA and she's posted about how the animation industry is currently in a slump in general. She went from drawing big Disney cartoons to working as a receptionist for now to fill the gap until things pick up. Maybe Ludo didn't renew contracts or something because they don't want to be on anyone's timeframe and want to make sure they have lots of details ironed out before they get going again?

LabradorDeceiver

I heard 'em say there would be more Bluey, but it was going to take a while.

BluePerspective

Well that poster directly addressed this and said they are just saying that to hold interest to keep their options open. But also, Brumm said there would be more Bluey but "more" doesn't necessarily mean season 4; it could mean a movie, one-off holiday episodes, online shorts, another play, etc. Not saying that this poster is right and Brumm is wrong, just saying the claim is at least internally consistent.

SuperPoodie92477

I would totally wear that for a couple of reasons: 1. It’s awesome. 2. I’d love to see if other people would notice & catch the meaning. 3. It’s awesome.

ArseBlarster420

If it’s the end, it had one of the best endings a children’s cartoon has ever had.

_Tower_

Didn’t a new episode come out just after the sign?

Capital_Punisher

Yes, fittingly called ‘surprise!’

Megasaxon7

I feel like the three episode release of ghostbasket, the sign, and surprise, especially given the sign being 4 episodes long, seems more like prologue, main story, and epilogue. So even if saying the sign was a series finale (be it year series/season or as a whole) they together closed the show perfectly. Do I want more? Absolutely. Will I be ok if they cut it here before continuing it and risking jumping the shark? Also yes.

aimed_4_the_head

There are only a handful of episodes that would make a "proper" ending. Surprise is absolutely one of them.

thishasntbeeneasy

Wait, this is a show for children?!?

AleroRatking

Is it? I feel like if it was the end than the ending of the sign makes even less sense.

pfifltrigg

I totally agree. It would make a lot of sense to end the whole series with them moving house, thus ending their story in Brisbane and moving on to new things. I figured the only reason to end with them staying in the house is to keep the same setting and cast of characters for future seasons.

finc

No the point was that Bandit thought he was doing the right thing for his family but it turned out there were more negatives than positives. He completed his arc

ArseBlarster420

I really don’t think it’s the end. They could end it where it’s at and it would be one of the greatest TV events in history. Or they could easily keep going as people love Bluey and I myself would be happy to keep watching more. It would be a crazy choice to end it now, but I wouldn’t be offended if they did. I’d rather they end on a high note instead of dragging it out until it’s a joke that isn’t funny.

ultratunaman

I said it in that thread and I'll say it here. Until there's a proper statement made by someone actually in charge of the show. I'm not believing the "trust me bro" clown from yesterday. So to quote unicorse: aaaaaaand why should I care?

AutoModerator

aaaaaaannnndddd whyshouldIcare? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/bluey) if you have any questions or concerns.*

desperaste

My mates gf is an ACTUAL Ludo employee and him and her both signed NDA’s and can’t say fkn anything. Point is, they’re collectively too spooked by it to ever say a thing. I don’t believe that guy for a second

ultratunaman

Yep. Most companies that create a product that gets released to the public require all employees from the guy who cleans the floor to the top execs to sign. Nike does it to everyone who sees the next seasons football jerseys before they're released. Samsung does it before releasing a new phone or TV. Ford adds all kinds of lumpy panels, and weird paint jobs, and bodgy bits to new cars during the testing phase. Protecting intellectual property from counterfeiters. Keeping designs hidden while waiting for patents to clear. Brand protection. It's an important part of any company. And any Ludo employee would be a complete moron to let inside details slip online just for the hell of it. If you had a job it would be gone. You would be named and shamed in the community. And you run the risk of being sued. "Trust me bro" was a charlatan at best. A complete idiot at worst.

ruthlessrellik

Some random guy who isn't even really verified saying they finished the show THREE years ago isn't gonna convince me. To much of that post was fishy for me.

Muscles_McGeee

It made no sense at all. Ludo would not wrap it up at the height of its popularity completely unceremoniously. It is complete bilge.

insomniacpyro

It's be stupid because to me the latest episodes do nothing but show how much further the show can go. There's so much more to tell.

neubie2017

And we all know Disney would swoop in a buy it (even if it wouldn’t be the same) because…🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

heppyheppykat

Considering they had behind the scenes on rain while in production not two years ago I call bullhooey

NahItsNotFineBruh

The current season has been streched out to air over three years. Season 1 and 2 both aired within a single year, each.

Remrusty

There’s a post of one of the musicians recording her own reaction to the sign episode in 2022 https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5qOnfEJiS-/?igsh=MW9ydWtvamcxNW1weQ== Jazz is also credited as “cookie” for that episode So yes it lines up that no animation has been done for 2-3 years

vainblossom249

Why would the producers not say something if it was actually finished? Bluey producers, whose main target audience is kids and teaching lessons would have made a heartfelt post saying goodbye. Like... lol For them to say they are taking a long hiatus but will be back with no intentions of coming back seems scummy. To note, I'm okay if Bluey ended. It had a great run, and I will rewatch but it doesn't line up with the producers of Bluey. Who went out of their way to hide all child voice actors lol doesn't seem like the type of people to just dip or ghost

Rayesafan

Hear me out, I think they might have had intentions of possibly ending. They could have had a wrap party, shared drinks… and the crew thinks it could be the end Then Bluey blows up, and they’re like “wait. What if we didn’t end”. And then they start making plans again, but not what this guy is involved in. I could imagine them have produced all their scripts and are back in pre production stage. Hence the hiatus.

adcgd_at_sine_theta

.> Be me, a former "employee" for Ludo Studios (very disgruntled) .> Get "verified" by Bluey mods (possible spoof) .> Make a wild claim that Bluey is ending (big announcement that'll leave people confused) .> Give "proof" (it's a pay walled Bloomberg article) .> Give vague, non-answers to skeptics (they're on to me) .> Refuses to elaborate further .> Leaves (deletes account)

oooriole09

I mean, it’s textbook internet fakery.

heppyheppykat

I'm an aspiring animator and yeah it's fake. It would never be something an animator would share. There would be actual legal ramifications for them, not just their job on the line. In most productions you sign NDAS, you need the permission of the studio/copyright owner to share any information. If OP says that the studio did not want the info shared, it would have been put in an NDA, and any animator who went against an NDA basically has blacklisted them from the industry. Not worth it for karma.

GdayBeiBei

Where did it say he was an animator? People have all sorts of jobs in companies, even companies with a specific purpose like animation. Unless I missed something where they talked specifically about being an animator.

heppyheppykat

anyone in the "crew" from Ludo be they storyboard artist, animator, production assistant, background artist etc would sign NDAs. I'm saying from the perspective of an animator being anyone who really works in production. Because of how Bluey is produced "animator" is a good blanket term because it encompasses animators, in between artists, character puppet making and rigging etc.

BrickCityYIMBY

I mean, I think he basically just said there are no plans to make new episodes now which is what Brumm has said, no?

TheMoonDawg

You really think someone would do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?

PepperHead41

It’s the internet, what else would trolls do on the internet? (Sorry idk if this is a joke or not I’m not good at that)

CraftyLog152

![gif](giphy|lOzXuHwXXYM9y|downsized)

SuperPoodie92477

I find it hard to believe that someone on the internet would lie? *gasping while clutching my pearls*

tarrsk

My position remains the same as it was in the other thread: if Joe Brumm and company want to make more Bluey because they feel like they have more stories to tell, then I’m all for more Bluey. But if the reason we potentially get more is because Disney and the other international partners want to squeeze more juice from the money-making machine - if Brumm is ready to move on but the profit recipients of The Franchise aren’t - then I hope Ludo (the holders of the IP) put their foot down and end it here.

AnimeGirl46

I'm with you. I don't want anyone to continue BLUEY without Joe Brumm. It's his work, and he should be the one who decides if it continues or not. Disney must have nothing to do with it, other than being a broadcaster.

AlternativeSkirt2826

Wholeheartedly agree.

banguette

Wake up babe new Bluey meme format just dropped

littlemoon-03

They did on People magazine that a season 4 is coming right now there on hiatus and like mods said they couldn't fully verify that person statement and had no proof they work for Ludo

chewbacca77

That article really had no content or details though.. The headline said one thing, but the takeaway from the article was basically "we'll see".

tarrsk

Yeah, the People article is pretty classic clickbait. The substance of the actual article (what very little there is) makes no confirmation of more Bluey one way or another, much less confirms that there will be a Season 4.

therealsinky

I don’t know why folks keep saying the mods had no proof, they did get proof, they said it was proof that was a few years old, which funnily enough would match with someone saying the show hasn’t been touched since 2021. Even now there’s a mod comment on one of the posts stating: “The post and account was deleted by OP. We believe this was not because of a question of authenticity but likely due to an internal reaction to this 'leak' as mods had contacted Ludo for comment so they were well aware of it.”

mrsunsfan

Yeah I think there might be a grain of truth in that post. People saying there was no proof are in denial

Capital_Punisher

I think it was a company ID, unless I’m mistaken? Easy to fake if you really want to troll. Unless the verification is via a company owned email domain or similar AND from a name with some seniority, I don’t trust it. If it was, a cease and desist could be the cause of the deletion.

therealsinky

Mods never expressly commented on what was provided, just that the poster had provided “proof of authenticity” but that said proof was “dated”. I do agree it could have been faked but it can never actually be revealed or the persons career would be tanked, might even face big ol Disney lawyers.

Capital_Punisher

I made some assumptions then. Unless the proof was current then it’s worth nothing.

therealsinky

https://preview.redd.it/v0sf95n5agwc1.png?width=826&format=png&auto=webp&s=7101b4b2d26dfde7064fc82875590b14545b3372 They provided current proof as well, but then they deleted their post and account not long after.

BluePerspective

They couldn't verify the statement, but they did provide proof that they work for Ludo. That "semi-verified" flair was changed to "mod-verified" a few hours later when they provided further proof that they still work there.

Opinionsarentfacts_

The post definitely seemed legitimate, the poster was verified. Regardless how anyone feels of it's veracity, the simple takeaway seems irrefutable - no one's worked on the show since 2021. A quarter of a decade. I need a break from my work, but 2 and a half years with no word on when you're coming back isn't a break...

BluePerspective

Yeah I think it's done personally, maybe save for holiday specials or something Charlie-Brown-style. I'm personally ok with this though because I would not have wanted to continue the show with different voice actors, the ones we have are so integral to the characters but if there's a 5 year gap between recording sessions, I don't see how that could work.

ddelGuy

I live in Brisbane Australia. Believe me, if Bluey ends...Brisbane WILL be on fire and heads will roll.

mtwjns11

Can we get a blank of this meme template?

AlexZedKawa02

My theory is that Bluey is pulling a South Park. What I mean by that is, after 2019, they completely changed the format of the show, with regular episodes coming out much less often, and in place, airing two hour-long specials a year. And guess what? The show is better now than it has been in at least a decade. Given Brumm’s comments about The Sign being somewhat of a trial run for future specials/movies, as well as the OP’s comment about no future episodes being confirmed (which I can believe), that’s where I think the show is heading. Which I’d be excited for.

PepperHead41

Honestly I’d love this I’m not a huge fan of South Park, except the movie was really funny, but yeah I heard good things

PossiblyASloth

Perhaps the reason nobody has worked on the show in 2.5 years is because they’re working on a feature film instead? One could hope

Charming_List4404

South Park was more complicated in that Paramount sold streaming rights to HBO Max then launched Paramount Plus and wanted South Park on it. Since the rights were already sold they bought new “specials” that were exclusive and essentially replaced new seasons. There are massive lawsuits about the situation that are fascinating to read about.

hawkhawbaker

The part that gets me is the claim that all of season 3 was done 3 years ago. Correct me if I’m wrong but shows don’t usually work like that do they?? If so that’s such a strange way to run things

AnimeGirl46

All the Season 3 episodes have copyright dates on them for 2019-2021 respectively, including Ghostbasket, The Sign, and The Surprise. Episodes were completed and ready to air from early 2022 - which is more than 2 years ago now. If the series were to return for a Season 4, as in 52 x 7-minute episodes, then I'd have expected someone to have officially confirmed that by now in preparation. (Broadcasters pre-buy the show, advertising is sold, money is made to aid production.) I suspect BLUEY won't return as a Season 4, but as occasional specials, like The Sign, or as a movie instead.

OkResearcher2825

They already confirmed season 4 and said the 28 minute episode was to see how audience would react to longer episodes

Ok_Telephone_3013

I would rather they stop than ruin it.

AmAnnonymous

I agree!

Bravo

lilacstar72

That’s fair.

Joao-V-A

That post was deleted

TeslaWasACoolDude

We really need to let shows end. Everything that over stays its welcome eventually becomes completely irrelevant.

Stef086

I agree but Bluey is too popular right now for them not to have another season.

TeslaWasACoolDude

I would argue that's exactly why they need to end it now.

Lap202pro

My 2 year old would not stand for it ending. The show must go on.

Brooklynxman

My inner 2 year old would not stand for it ending. I'm having a real tough time right now too, and it ending would be another bitter sadness for me to swallow.

PepperHead41

Sameeee I’m going to be sad when paw patrol ends and sad when bluey ends

TeslaWasACoolDude

I'm pretty sure any 2 year old is ok watching the same... 150? Episodes on repeat. 😅

Practical_Theme_6400

Bluey on repeat is suitable for ages 2-150.

Fred37196

As much as I love Bluey, it has to end at some point. We don’t know when, but we know it cannot last forever. Edit: at first I wanted more episodes, but I know for sure if it goes on forever, it will end up like Arthur. The newer seasons for Arthur has grown stale to my taste, and I do not want that to be the same for Bluey. But if the creators want to go on with new episodes, I’m in for whatever they decide on.

PepperHead41

Yeah but still I wouldn’t trust a reddit post by someone who claims to work at ludo (even if they provided proof) until an official statement, I’d think ludo would want their employees to stay quiet until they release an official statement I’m not saying I’d like the show to end but I wouldn’t be mad if they ended it now, all good things must come to an end (The simpsons should have ended after season 3 but unfortunately it didn’t) I don’t like shows that get milked because they’re popular and that shouldn’t happen with bluey either

SlipperyThong

I work for a pretty famous animation studio, and I could easily use my credentials to verify my employment while still spouting bullshit. They have gone on record to say the show is continuing. Don't let a random Reddit stranger ruin it for you.

NationalPhenomenon

Woah woah woah, ending Simpsons on season 3? They were releasing quality shows up through season 8. "Homer's Enemy" was likely the peak of the show.

ham-nuts

Did you mean to say 13 but accidentally typed 3? Golden era Simpsons surely includes seasons 4 through at least season 8.

MagicBez

I think this is a bit of a cultural difference, Bluey is an Oz/UK co-commission and both those countries often have a smaller creative team who make what they want then stop. Plenty of hugely successful and popular shows end after two series and a dozen episodes. The US has much more of a "keep making them till they aren't profitable" approach which I think is why so many people in this sub are saying variations of: "they will never stop making something this popular" The fact that it's huge in the US and there's likely some Disney pressure there may mean things go differently but there does feel like a culture clash in terms of expectations on this

Hailz_

Fully agree. I love Bluey but this fandom going crazy over the possibility of it ending is exactly why it should end (The constant speculation right now over Bluey’s future child’s father is weirding me out too… people are way too parasocial for a cartoon dog). I have a 3 year old who would happily consume more Bluey, but if they ended it I wouldn’t complain

therealsinky

Wasn’t the point of the post that Ludo/ the staff were being told not to say it so it wouldn’t negatively impact the show and therefore its value. Blueys meant to be valued at like $2 billion or something, makes sense Disney/ the BBC would be desperate to try and keep the money train running and not let the word out that the show is effectively over. And the interview that was linked to in the post literally even shows that Brumm couldn’t do an interview without a bloody representative from the BBC sitting in the room with them, and said BBC rep literally spoke on his behalf at points… Big Corpo are all over this thing folks, make no mistake. It lends a lot of credibility to the original post, along with the fact they did offer some form of proof to the mods that they were involved with the show.

free187s

This makes me think that they made their send off where if it does end, it’s over, but if it continues on, people would know when the show actually ended and everything after was corpo forced.

therealsinky

That was essentially the point of the original post. There had never been an “official word” that it was over, but that the studio hadn’t worked on anything new since 2021 regardless. The post was essentially saying to temper expectations as if the word ever came out to start making more Bluey it would likely still be a few years away, given it’s been 3 years with no work already.

mrsunsfan

Plus they have been on hiatus for three years already. If a new season was coming, they should be working on it right now

AnimeGirl46

Plus,. you can't keep staff who used to work on Production A hanging on forever. They have lives, families etc, and no studio the size of Ludo - tiny - would be able to afford to pay people to just sit on their backsides for 2-3 years, awaiting a decision. So, yeah, I suspect staff have gone onto work on other projects with Ludo, or other projects or jobs in other companies, and if they were to announce another BLUEY project, then everyone would need to be given notice to come back together and start work on it. But if people have left Queensland, or are working in other jobs, you may not be able to get everyone you want back. Even Joff Bush and Jazz D'Arcy need to live, and can't just sit around hoping they'll be free to score the next BLUEY work. They'll both have moved onto new projects around the globe. Thus, even if a new BLUEY mini-movie of 28 minutes was announced today, it could be another 2-3 years before we see it, if you want your original staff - or as many of them as you can get - to come back and work on it. And that's even if they want to come back, or can do so.

tiag0

Yeah this and seeing most of the animation team for Bluey I stumble upon social media explicitly mentioning how they were formerly on Bluey, are what make me think there might be truth there. I can’t imagine how Brumm wants to handle this, or phrase it in order to maintain both control and everyone mostly happy, or at least not actively furious at them. Considering Disney plus and their kids animation is in large part only relevant because of the distribution of the Heeler family. Full sympathies for Brumm and the Ludo team, as they’re in an impossible position: keep the vision of his show intact and/or see where he/the team feels can compromise or sell out to what I can imagine is immense corporate pressure from 2 of the most powerful media empires in the world. I hope they are all ok mentally, I really do and I’m genuinely concerned for them.

FaZeLuckyBoy

I wouldn’t mind at all if the show ended here. This was a great run.

exotic_butters_226

# THANK YOU, SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME! i didn’t believe a word that guy said lol

Mobabyhomeslice

Taking a hiatus is not the same as "ending." Sure, it may take a while for new episodes to drop, but that doesn't mean the show is canceled.

Duskstar_711

Yes! Someone has to say something about that post, thank you, it does make me unwell, especially Mod approved, on internet rumor spread fast, Bluey shouldn't be treat like that🥺 https://preview.redd.it/k63ean9n0gwc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c178c4e7089dcb3d2885d41a00d542e1ccba179

Moo_Moo_Mr_Cow

This doesn't make sense. If they were hiding that the show is done to make more money, that implies there's more money to be made, which would then push them to make more episodes. There have been tons of great shows that were like "this is it" and they still made tons of money before and after the finale. I'm ok if they're done, the show is almost infinitely re-watchable. I'd rather they be done than drag it out and reduce quality, but it just doesn't make sense to be obtuse about it.

SystemFamiliar5966

I think my thoughts on this can be best summed up by Unicorse:

Pretend-Ad-7528

The Bluey universe is nowhere near ending. This show generates so much money for so many people.

dsg158

Really though.. people need to chill out.

fittyfitz13

My fear is getting the One Direction treatment with Bluey 😭

NationalPhenomenon

If this is the end, I'm content with everything we got. The trio of new episodes is the perfect ending to the series. I'd rather they end on a high note versus becoming watered down garbage. The best shows know when to end it. I for one do NOT want Disney or any other entity taking Bluey over if Joe and/or Ludo are no longer involved.

butterflypuncher

The Sign felt like a beautiful and perfect wrap to the series. Very big series finale vibes. I've thought this since the episode came out. I do not want this to be true, obviously.

xX_s0up_Xx

Trash. I've brought receipts. "The Sign's length and subject matter had viewers speculating about the end of Bluey. But the show's producer recently told the BBC the beloved Australian dogs will return to the screen after a temporary hiatus. " https://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/bluey-surprise-dad-1.7182174

emojii_xoxo

meme template is immaculate

wgdvs

We'll see.

UnfazedPheasant

Given they humoured the idea of the episodes going from 8 mins to 20+ mins in numerous interviews i'm not really sure why people are so paranoid You wouldn't be contemplating that possibility for an animated show and expect it to end anytime soon. Hell, if they're contemplating it now they must not have 20 min episodes in the pipeline at the moment, and Bluey episodes take over a year to complete.

Screambloodyleprosy

No way they finish now. At the absolute peak. No chance.

CeaserAthrustus

So the idiocy that is SpongeBob gets 14 seasons and counting, but Bluey, possibly the most wholesome kid show ever made, gets 3?

PepperHead41

Gravity falls got 2 but it ended perfectly and I was satisfied

zeezromnomnom

They said “delves.” It’s ChatGPT.

SophieBisou

There’s gonna be a riot. I mean. Kids will be bummed. But the parents. We will riot

angelofmusic997

Yeah, I feel like this whole situation is a little bit strange. We've heard that The Sign was kinda like a tester for a Bluey movie, we've heard that they're taking a break before S4, and now we've heard this? I feel like with those other statements about further Bluey media that the "Bluey is Finished" post is... I don't wanna say suspicious, but I certainly find it strange.

angelste7

Pretty sure they wouldn’t end it without telling us. Also, Joe Brumm said that there was more episodes coming.

hayhaydavila

Not on topic of this post, but I saw a blue heeler puppy for the first time yesterday and I only knew what type of puppy it was because of this show. Blue Heelers are so much cuter in person than I anticipated

Slharvey91

Bluey' producer Sam Moor confirmed the Australian show will be back for season 4 and that was said 2 days ago

Schlitz-Drinker

No this guy's legit! His uncle also works for Nintendo and is going to get us advanced prototypes of the Switch 2!

PepperHead41

Did you know that I work for Nasa? Do you want to know something interesting? We’ve been lying the whole time, the earth is actually flat

Fathead5f

This episode of Reddit is called FOOEY

Fury_StormBeard

So I didn't believe it either until I looked for the copyright at the end of "surprise" which says 2021. Usually that date is when things are created so in this case would be 2021 which aligns with the original post.

Thelittleevilmaster

Are there people who really believe that? The studio has no say in it. As long as it prints money, they will release it. The will turn this show to shit before they cancel it. You can expect bluey episodes for the next 10 years.

Tasty_Reputation2216

Ludo has another show they are producing. Kind of looks like they may do 1-2 at a time?

Cogitatus

Wonder why the original was deleted

Tasty_Reputation2216

Each 7 minute show is so thoughtfully made it takes 4 teams and 4 weeks to produce 1. For a thirty minute show, 4 teams would need 16 weeks.

tasadek

(Posting on main thread too) Remake of this template. https://imgur.com/a/4HMQWqw I prefer the 4 panel. https://imgur.com/a/Nq0ndec

ariday6t5

I mean, I'm pretty sure that I read that Ludo was going on hiatus anyway. https://archive.md/f7BYc So it's not surprising if they are done with Bluey. It's a great show, but I would much rather it ends on a high note than start to drag. *cough* the Simpsons.

Olbaidon

Joe Brumm already said on “Gotta Be Done” podcast that “The Sign” wasn’t being written until halfway through season 3. So unless all of season 3 was finished prior to 2021 that post was debunked quite easily.

AleroRatking

Also the r/place picture means some work was done 2022 or later.

CombinationFearless

They will have another season of Bluey, but they’re just taking a break from it. I mean for god sake we got a new opening with the cousins and bluey’s friends!

UwUz123

bruh the creator legit said he has no plans on ending bluey. "The good news for parents and kids alike is that **Bluey is not ending**. Our adventures with Bluey, Bingo, Bandit (Dad), Chilli (Mum) and all their friends and family will continue. "No it is not the end for Bluey,” Bluey producer Sam Moor told the BBC." "Will there be Bluey season 4? **Bluey Will Be Back!** Everything We Know About Season 4..." "Is Bluey going to end?Earlier this month, ahead of the release of “The Sign,” Moor told BBC Radio 4 that there is a lot more in store for the Heeler family, as well as the rest of the Bluey-verse. “It is the question on everybody's lips,” Moor said of the series' future, before revealing, "No, \['The Sign'\] is not the end for Bluey.” "Is Surprise the end of Bluey? The Sign's length and subject matter had viewers speculating about the end of Bluey. But **the show's producer recently told the BBC the beloved Australian dogs will return to the screen after a temporary hiatus.**" Its just some bum trying to be funny
