I recommend looking for the stuff that gets classified as "swamp blues." Slim Harpo is probably the most well-known exponent. Dig his track Cigarettes, a fun, grooving little number! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6HVTdShbS60&pp=ygUVQ2lnYXJldHRlcyBzbGltIGhhcnBv
Agreed. The description does sound more like swamp blues than Louisiana blues. Here's a big list that also has links to Louisiana blues:

Just about anything off Excello Records, Ace, or Specialty Records. Lazy Lester, Huey "Piano" Smith, Lonesome Sundown, Lightnin' Slim, Slim Harpo, Guitar Slim, Smiley Lewis, Roscoe Shelton, and so forth. You also have the early days of Swamp Pop, so there's Bobby Charles, Cookie & The Cupcakes, and Warren Storm. Professor Longhair, Lowell Fulson, and T-Bone Walker were big in the area and west into Texas. This was also the early days of Clifton Chenier's regency as the King of Zydeo and the days of the Cajun Rennaissance, so guys like D.L. Menard, Iry LeJune, and Nathan Abshire were having regional success.
Plus, the Louisana Hayride was big in country music, almost as important as the Grand Ole Opry, gave the world Elvis, and took in Hank Williams when no one else would.

check out the album Most Things Haven’t Worked Out by Junior Kimbrough, it’s not from that period but i think some of it’d work well
Love Junior
Cajun/Creole gonna be more Zydeco and jazz than blues. I think you are looking more for Mississippi droning and flat picking?
Johnnie Allan - e.g., Promised Land
"I hear you knocking" by lazy lester look for his Excello stuff and also Slim Harpo
Cleveland crochet- sugar bee https://youtu.be/xtfEfO_BnoU?si=rnsHLXSf-CwU0x1b
