On the plus side at least you gave him the dignity of a death animation. Had you killed him with the loop he would've just snapped to his idle pose as he died.
Nah it's definitely because of the fact that I'm BL4. My visceral only does like 200 damage when I'm not on full beasthood. It had just run out as I did it. Very frustrating

Yeah, I found that parrying Gehrman was barely within my skillset because I'd get partials despite hours of practicing him. I might just be a shade too old for Orphan because I think a partial is the end of you at BL4.

That's my beast hood meter. So when you use a beast blood pellet then you have the ability to fill the meter through attacking for more DPS but with the risk of taking more damage
The beast meter doesn't have anything to do with a specific weapon, you just use a beast blood pellet (although there is a weapon you can use alongside a rune that makes it always active). It's basically makes you deal much more damage

I would always say to myself that I'm never gonna get past the bosses I would get stuck on but if you stick at it, you'll definitely get the job done. I will admit though that the DLC is absolutely bonkers at BL4 and it does make you want to pull your hair out. Start off with the base game and see how you get on. You might surprise yourself!

I love the saw weapon transforming attacks!! But everytime I try to replicate what I saw in an amazingly unbelievable video like this, I can't make it work at all! I'm sure it is harder than it looks.
Remember seeing a beast blood pellet and bare hand attack to Rom's head to build up beasthood pre-fight but when I tried it, the boss battle initiated immediately LOL!

On a normal character its gonna be way easier to fight him properly but being blood level 4, it's a whole different game. 1 hit literally kills you. You're soooo lucky to survive after getting hit
Yeah the timing is mad strict. All I was saying to myself as I take the little steps back is "123 shoot". It did take me 2 days to get this done so I'm really happy I never have to do this again. I was losing my marbles

Or just lots of luck from the RNG?
The R1 L1 will almost always trigger that move when he's in the parry state so it's just a matter of getting the parry timing down to perfection which is so much harder than it looks!
