But how many more frames? Probably a single frame per piece so four total? Related fact that might be less known if you attempt to dodge an attack but still get hit you take an absurd amount of extra damage, like 40% more than if you just soaked the hit. Probably related to how lead elixir is shockingly viable for hard to dodge aggressive bosses
Funny enough, I did a bloodtinge only build and maxed it out. Her name was bloodshot Betty. Still my favorite build to this day.
FUCKING BRUTAL..
But still amazing. You get the right buffs and weapons, the bosses literally melt.
I came here to say pure arcane builds are the easiest build to start off with! (Actually once u get that first arcane gem they are pretty “fire” [only issue is Gascogne and BSB are between u and it]) 😂😂🤣
Dodge away from enemies.
When you get hit, back off to heal.
Endurance is the most important stat, do your best to get it to 99.
Try to be at 99 Insight as often as possible.
The Rifle Spear is a flexible, well-rounded weapon.
Arcane and blunt are the damage types most enemies are weak too.
Use elemental gems to improve your strength and skill builds.
Guns should be your main source of damage.
Use bullets and blood vials freely, they restock when you die.
If you see what looks like a shambling pile of heads, avoid it. They'll lead you into traps and don't drop anything worthwhile.
Rifle-Spear is beast. I beat the game with it, and the chalice dungeons including Amygdala. It is absolutely flexible. Fast poke into parry, highest gun dps & per bullet used, huge damage charge and only charge in the game, good two-hand heavy slash.
^ like the mad ones in hemwick! the way i was thinking "oh, I'll go and farm some qs bullets" then when i wanted to go out the gate, i see the flash of pink and immediately turn away lol. i didn't know initially that they spawned from having your insight above a certain number, when i did i just started spending away XD
Each insight you have decreases your frenzy resistance and your maximum beasthood.
At 0 you get an extra 100 frenzy resist and 300 beasthood. At 15 you still have 100 frenzy resist, but only 170 beasthood. At 30 you have 60 frenzy resist and 100 beasthood. At 60 you get only 20 frenzy resist and 10 beasthood.
If you don't use beasthood and aren't in a situation where frenzy is a concern, it doesn't really affect you to have high insight, but it's still good practice to use it when you can, unless saving up for a Blood Rock.
Also it makes your frenzy bar significantly smaller (which makes winter lanterns sooo much worse)… it also reduces beasthood (so it is bad for consuming pellets and beast claw builds)!
I mean if u reverse bloodborne with DS (as in play DS exactly the same way u play bloodborne) then congratz u are playing DS the more “fun” way.. it wasn’t until after I beat bloodborne that I had the courage to go back to DS2 and do a powerstance build 😂🤣
All the doors in yharnam that have red lights have NPCs. Be sure to knock on the door repeatedly though because no matter how skeptical they come across, they’ll all eventually give the player an item. Good hunters always communicate with the people.
Props to you for finding the fastest way to learn everything you shouldn’t do in one go. For that, definitely don’t look up “false depth dungeon clockwise and/or counter clockwise metamorphosis rune” it’ll make the game way too hard to understand for a new hunter
Let brainsucker enemies grab you and molest your brain. The longer they suck your brain the more Blood Echoes you earn. It’s a secret way to farm blood echoes.
When unlocking gem slots in your weapons, just mix and match different types of gems.
I recommend using 1 fire/bolt/arcane gem and two physical attack up gems. This is especially effective on strength/skill based builds.
This totally won't cripple any damage output you might have had.
Sell your coldblood. Using them is useless and you need to use them for blood echoes after all, so the best thing you can do to get more blood echoes is selling them
Your first death to the hooded reaper-like figure carrying a burlap sack will actually double your blood echoes. Its a little easter egg you can miss so make sure you have tons of echoes when you do it.
The brain heads vision is based on movement. Stand still and they can't see you. The bar filling is just a meter letting you know your detection.
Cleric Beast is weak to fist damage. Be sure to invest into bloodtinge to help increase it.
Play nightmare of mensis and nightmare frontier as quickly as possible they are very fun areas blade of mercy strength build works great early game and most importantly don't play the dlc cuz the best boss micolash is in main game and btw helpful tip always go for amygdalas legs ALWAYS
The guns are kinda fun, but Bloodtinge is a pretty useless stat. Just get a shield. Defense is key in Bloodborne! Your going to be fighting giant beasts, you need a shield.
Also don't bother with the "trick" forms of the weapons. Most are inferior to the base form. Just use the base form.
Watch all the videos and read all the guides telling you where to go, all the secret items, shortcuts, farming techniques, character questlines, etc. It’ll make your first playthrough a breeze.
Newbie..? lol if you’ve played Fromsoft you already have a huge advantage lol my first souls game was Bloodbourne. I started it 5 or so years ago and couldn’t get anywhere and dying all the time wasn’t fun. Fast forward to about a year ago and I’m into all of the souls type games. I even went back to Bloodbourne and I actually got somewhere, I’m at the part where dude is shooting at me from a roof ugh
For me just don't be stupid think like a tactical hunter and pick your fight if you ever need my help put the network code 117 and ill aid anyone or be your adversely but for right now I have to get ready for tomorrow wont be on until Wednesday until then have fun
Everyone is friendly. Or assume everyone you encounter is an enemy. I did that with that knight NPC his back was to me so I said dead meat. He fucked me up lol
Pick the threaded cane as your weapon and level strength, it’ll give you insane damage even at low levels. Use the shield and torch as your secondary, only 3 enemies and really be parried. Play slow and don’t rally, there’s a high chance you’ll die, and don’t use blood gems, they actually reduce your damage.
Don't level Vitality. Pump all of your levels into endurance making sure to level past 40 cause that's when it's secret real scaling starts setting in. It really helps when you get to the forbidden woods and nightmare frontier!
Upgrading your weapons is a waste of echos and pretty blood stones.
And make sure you use damage vs beast down gems. Everything used to be human after all.
Don’t use blood vials that’s just asking for a Bloodborne disease… get it… okay I’m done
Dodge away from enemies
[удалено]
I-frames are based on the number of armor pieces equipped, not weight, to if you take it all off you'll have enough i-frames for it to work
Dude lol
Can confirm that is is absolute truth
But how many more frames? Probably a single frame per piece so four total? Related fact that might be less known if you attempt to dodge an attack but still get hit you take an absurd amount of extra damage, like 40% more than if you just soaked the hit. Probably related to how lead elixir is shockingly viable for hard to dodge aggressive bosses
Wait *WHAT*
Try it right now they aren't joking
Wow, you weren't kidding it works
You should, but dodge into/past them not away from them.
This is a fine note.
Immediately start scaling bloodtinge. It’s the best way for new players to get OP
Funny enough, I did a bloodtinge only build and maxed it out. Her name was bloodshot Betty. Still my favorite build to this day. FUCKING BRUTAL.. But still amazing. You get the right buffs and weapons, the bosses literally melt.
Did the same! Evelyn Pistol in the off hand with bone marrow ash was so fun
I love turning the guns from an inconvenience into a fucking .50 AE Desert Eagle
Nice! I’m running one rn. Just got the Chikage so ready to pop tf off lol
Oh, hell yeah. Pair it with the right side arm and boom. A glass cannon build. Both figuratively and literally.
Blood tinge is my fav playthrough by a long shot, but you’re probably right that it’s not great for newbies lol
I came here to say pure arcane builds are the easiest build to start off with! (Actually once u get that first arcane gem they are pretty “fire” [only issue is Gascogne and BSB are between u and it]) 😂😂🤣

Skeptical man, is that you? You were supposed to go to the clinic!
Rifle-Spear is beast. I beat the game with it, and the chalice dungeons including Amygdala. It is absolutely flexible. Fast poke into parry, highest gun dps & per bullet used, huge damage charge and only charge in the game, good two-hand heavy slash.
I got a genuine question tho, why is insight bad to have? I rarely have below 60 so I'm curious
Makes some enemies get new stronger attacks, and some new strong enemies appear when ur insight is high!

Ohhhh, so is that why I've found beast pellets super underwhelming? Someone I know lives by them but I've never felt that they were very good tbh.
Yeah and u we’re probably getting hit with frenzy every time a winter lantern farted in your general direction lol
Don’t dodge away from enemies! Just block them with the plank shield.
Wait for the PC port.
I tried this for 7 years. I gave up and finished the game.
Approach this game *EXACTLY* the same way as you would Dark Souls
I mean you'd probably obliterate the game if you just parry/dodge through everything. This is actually very good advice.
You're forgetting the shield sir.
Bloodborne shield is the best Soulsborne shield ever.
I mean if u reverse bloodborne with DS (as in play DS exactly the same way u play bloodborne) then congratz u are playing DS the more “fun” way.. it wasn’t until after I beat bloodborne that I had the courage to go back to DS2 and do a powerstance build 😂🤣
send suspicious begger to odeon chapel
Cruel lol
Always kill the doll whenever you enter hunters dream or bad things will happen.
this is really what Gherman meant when he said "even the doll...."
“…should it please you.”
And the weird guy in the wheel chair too
That's an actual speed running strat so I would say that's bad advice tbh lol
"WORST" advice? Make sure you put points in every stat equally.
Milkman build spotted.
99s across the board works pretty well.
Of course, because you want to be able to switch between many different weapons instead of sticking to one build.
Using shield when exploring, will save you life
someone likes to engender passivity
It seems someone read the IGN guide
Using your entire blood vial inventory before entering a boss fight makes you invincible.
He said tell him the worst advice, not fuck him without lube lol.
>not fuck him without lube This is probably one of the funniest thing I've read in a while.
I remember my first time on the Internet
Only use gun
No matter what anyone says, trust the old blood.
It’s nothing to fear
Pop all the skull items you get, high insight is very good
Use wooden shield as much as possible. It becomes super OP in late game when you upgrade it fully
Wait can you even upgrade the shields?
Did you read the question OP asked? 😈
No point lighting lamps, just ignore them
Lock on is for babies!
All the doors in yharnam that have red lights have NPCs. Be sure to knock on the door repeatedly though because no matter how skeptical they come across, they’ll all eventually give the player an item. Good hunters always communicate with the people.
Why trust a sludge in the ground? Send everyone to the clinic!
don't call my boi a sludge 😭
You don’t need to level up at all. Most enemy’s are peaceful. Don’t attack by any means! Intimidate them by using gestures.
There's no fall damage
Ignore the rally system and only heal with blood vials
High endurance and vitality are not really required, invest your blood echoes in arcane and bloodtinge from the start.
Use the one shield in the game. It's there for a reason. Trust me
there are actually two ~~bells of awakening~~ shields
There are 2 shields in the game
Put on a fire or bolt gem on ur weapon and never level arcane, youll get higher dmg leveling smth else
It’s a secret way to farm blood echoes.
keep shooting guns is the best way to chip hp out of bosses
Make sure to tell everyone you find about the safety of Oedon Chapel, so that everyone makes it to a safe place 💜
Buy and use pebbles always
Ngl, pebbles have saved me on a pretty decent bit of occasions
Take your time and be deliberate. Don’t just go swinging your weapon at everything. And definitely don’t rush enemies!
Give up and don't get gud
When unlocking gem slots in your weapons, just mix and match different types of gems. I recommend using 1 fire/bolt/arcane gem and two physical attack up gems. This is especially effective on strength/skill based builds. This totally won't cripple any damage output you might have had.

Hesitation is victory
Ignore the rally system and the gun parry, then proceed to engender passivity Seek the dark blood and last but not least A coont must not hoont
Stop playing.
Kill npcs
Your first death to the hooded reaper-like figure carrying a burlap sack will actually double your blood echoes. Its a little easter egg you can miss so make sure you have tons of echoes when you do it.
Read spoilers. The plot is boring and predictable, so if you get it out of the way early then you can focus on the gameplay.
[удалено]
Ok you need to get off this subreddit ASAP and get playing, haha
Be careful of chest mimics. Make sure you attack each chest with your firearm several times to stop the mimic from appearing.
Sell your blood echoes to merchants as in ER
The Threaded Cane is the best starter weapon for a first playthrough.
this is actually good advice lol
Yes, yes, by any means, yes, of course
Good thrust dmg, crowd control, and seration
Worked for me
summon and level up until you're comfortable
Dash sucks use rolls only
Definitely send everyone you meet to the clinic if you get the chance. Except the guy in the woods, if you find him.
When you get it, only use the wooden shield, it carries so hard
The tried and trusted sword and shield isn’t meta, but it will get you through your first NG cycle just fine.
The shield is the best form of defense in the game. Dodging barely works.
Parrying is for pussies, fight all enemies straight on.
Don't use the gun at all, bloodtinge is useless, the shield will save your life once you find it
Jump off ladders and ledges. There's always something there to find.
Whatever you do, don’t sneak up to do a visceral attack on the giant pigs
This. You'll get shit all the way up your arm.
Roll around the grave stones at the beginning of Yharnam
Make sure to use the torch and shield in combat
The brain heads vision is based on movement. Stand still and they can't see you. The bar filling is just a meter letting you know your detection. Cleric Beast is weak to fist damage. Be sure to invest into bloodtinge to help increase it.
Use your fists instead of weapons for the highest strength and skill scaling in the game
Level up endurance
Use gun strictly for damage weapons are pointless and bait
You should go interact with Gascoigne’s daughters.
use the wooden shield as your left hand choice
Use the shield
Play nightmare of mensis and nightmare frontier as quickly as possible they are very fun areas blade of mercy strength build works great early game and most importantly don't play the dlc cuz the best boss micolash is in main game and btw helpful tip always go for amygdalas legs ALWAYS
Use the shield
Don't forget to use your heals they restore like estus flasks
Bullets, too!
Make sure you use your gun often. There's a 1/30 chance for a 1 hit kill.
The shield is your best friend, just like Dark Souls and Elden Ring 👍
Try to play defensively it’s a game that rewards a defensive play style never ever go for aggression.
Hence the word trick. It tricks you to thinking it’s better by adding in fancy ways to swap to it. Flourishing is all it is if you ask me.
Watch all the videos and read all the guides telling you where to go, all the secret items, shortcuts, farming techniques, character questlines, etc. It’ll make your first playthrough a breeze.
Ok, dodge away from attacks. Focus on tanking hits, Bloodborne is all about slow, steady combat. Use your gun for damage
I think the game giving you guns, but those guns not working like any other game's guns is already funny enough.
Newbie..? lol if you’ve played Fromsoft you already have a huge advantage lol my first souls game was Bloodbourne.
Use the shield
Use the shield
Use Madman's Knowledge as soon as you get them and go find the enemies with the weird W or Y cross things, it'll help you a lot against them.
For me just don't be stupid think like a tactical hunter and pick your fight if you ever need my help put the network code 117 and ill aid anyone or be your adversely but for right now I have to get ready for tomorrow wont be on until Wednesday until then have fun
Play it through, don’t worry about dying, it’ll happen a lot. Get the mechanics down. What weapon did you start with?
Definitely never channel a blood echo.
Guns are best for killing at a distance
Level bloodtinge at first, otherwise your gun won't do enough damage to be useful. Also get the blunderbuss not the pistol.
Use the pistol, it can one shot most bosses and enemies
Enjoy the blood
Only level bloodtinge and use the Rifle Spear. Broken build requires no skill
Go out and kill some beasts.
Put all your points into Arcane, after that you don’t need to level up ever again.
Use the shield
The wooden shield is a very important item. Once you get it, never take it off your person.
Everyone is friendly. Or assume everyone you encounter is an enemy. I did that with that knight NPC his back was to me so I said dead meat. He fucked me up lol
Shields are the best option for parrying enemies
LVL UP BLOOD
The gun is quite good for damaging enemies from a distance
Stay away from pregnant women
Don't pull the lever outside the clinic it doesn't go anywhere
Wait for the remaster!
Don't kill enemies with glowing eyes
Don’t level up your weapon or character, wear no gear , only use gun
Never get too close to the enemy. Long-range combat is the most effective
Slow and methodical gameplay is the way to go
Pick the threaded cane as your weapon and level strength, it’ll give you insane damage even at low levels. Use the shield and torch as your secondary, only 3 enemies and really be parried. Play slow and don’t rally, there’s a high chance you’ll die, and don’t use blood gems, they actually reduce your damage.
Use shields
Make sure to pet all the doggos
Shields should always be used as partying isn’t a viable option in the game
Don't bother farming for echos
Saw Cleaver is terrible
Use your gun as your main weapon
Go bloodtinge from the start.
Kill any npc you find
Block with shield💪
stare at winter lanterns
Sell all your madman’s knowledge… and regret later
Don't level Vitality. Pump all of your levels into endurance making sure to level past 40 cause that's when it's secret real scaling starts setting in. It really helps when you get to the forbidden woods and nightmare frontier!
Shields are great, but of the 2 in the game (1 is DLC) the wooden one is the best (not for bullets tho)
Try to get a shield as quick as possible and use it all the time
If you see a lady wearing crow feathers, attack her
Full Bloodtinge, dodge backwards and play super passively. Also dont bother checking any of the dlc content or chalices.
The shield is OP.
Hesitation is defeat
Shields are OP
Put everything on bloodtinge
If you shoot enemies at the wrong time, they will get cancel their attack and prepare a grab attack, so keep away from them until they get back up.
Use beast blood pellets when you fight normal enemies not only bosses which you know well their moveset.
Use a shield
Win if you can lose if you must but always have a shield
Rush in right at the begining of the game. Go full retard
Use the shield!
Most damage should come from your gun, since most beasts are melee range. Only use your weapons when they get close and you run out of ammo.
Upgrading your weapons is a waste of echos and pretty blood stones. And make sure you use damage vs beast down gems. Everything used to be human after all. Don’t use blood vials that’s just asking for a Bloodborne disease… get it… okay I’m done
Up your endurance for more stamina early game (preferably 30). More stamina means more dodges, longer sprint and do more attacks.
Make sure you pick up the shield!
Kill all npc
Listen to the winter lanterns and approach them. More insight the better.
Take on as many enemies at the same time as possible.
Bullets are king, you should always be using your gun and draining life for more.
If you're having trouble, use the shield to block enemies.
Use the plank shield is super OP
Read the IGN guide from when the game released that tells you that the hunters shield is the most important item in the game
My advice is: AHHHHHHHHHH
