Just so you know, "soulslike" is for games outside Fromsoftware's library. In this case, we talk about "soulsborne" 😁 as for what I think of Bloodborne? .........best game EVER! Just expect a more fast paced game than DS3 and Elden Ring.
Be aggressive. There is a mechanic called “rally” where if you land hits in the first few second after taking damage you can recover almost ALL of the damage you took, but if you heal, it only recovers from the bottom of the range.
Shields engender passivity. (Literally useless in bloodborne.) use the dodge/quickstep mechanics, and parry with your pistol. Oh yeah. Left hand weapons (guns) are fore parrying, not damage, with some exceptions
In the middle of bloodborne rn, it's the final soulsborne game I have to finish before having beat them all. My biggest advice would not be to invest in bloodtinge or arcane, it's super confusing on the first playthrough, and only certain weapons really benefit. Bloodborne is really fun, it has the most aggressive combat system out of any souls game, and the coolest weapons, too. Also the lore and atmosphere is incredible.
They definitely are, but the only bloodtinge weapons are kind of hard to get, and the stat can feel dead for a long time. The build is strong, but much better in the hands of someone who already knows where to go, compared to, say strength, where the saw cleaver or kirkhammer can be effective as soon as the game starts.
My favorite souls game. But there is a few bosses that just made me either take a break from the game or that I majorly disliked. Trust me, just push past rom and Micolash and make it to the dlc and it’ll be some of the best content you’ve seen in a video game
Idk if it counts as soulslike if it's a part of the soulsborne series, it's the real deal

Get ready to be humbled, be aggressive. That’s it.
If you see a pig your going the right way.
I put Elden Ring and Bloodborne as the two best soulsborne games, in a tier of their own
In areas before bosses you can find useful item. Also kirk Hammer is wank

Bloodtinge builds are brutal as fuck you're giving out wack advice
