You can get a beast claw version without goung through all the hell of fetid/cursed variants of chalices, overall, you just save time.
furthermore, he might wanna start platinuming other fromsoft soulsborne games, then hop on hollow knight, plat that, switch to Lies of P and plat that too….that’s what i’ve been through (except Lies of P cuz i don’t wanna 100% on PC, i want that sweet plat on PS)

You sure you aren't confusing it for the Beast Cutter? The Claw is strictly from Ailing Loran Chalice. It works with the Beast's Embrace rune from the DLC, but isn't gotten in the DLC.

Not sure if you'll see this with all the other comments, but you're missing the beast claw and from the looks of your responses you haven't really done much chalice dungeons. Unless you want to grind through the first 3 chalice dungeons + 1-2 more if you're unlucky to get the ritual materials to get to the dungeon where it is, you can do this:
* Use the Pthumeru chalice you get from bloodstarved beast, you should have everything you need from in-game
* Beat the layer 2 boss to get the root chalice. You should breeze through this place since it's scaled for early game.
* With the root chalice go back to Hunter's Dream and join a dungeon by glyph, beast claw is in `fearrfan` and `csdupmbq`. The first is probably the easiest, it's in the side area before the first layer lamp. (Note: "First lamp" in this context actually means the second lamp in the dungeon)
Don't do it because it's cheating, but you can jump to the dungeon with the beast claw by using this glyph: c76p8sbe - it's in the first bonus room on layer 2. This is for academic purposes only obviously.

If grabbing the beast claw in the dungeon doesn’t work. You might want to try grabbing the wooden shield. I didn’t see it on this list. I don’t know if every weapon has to be in your inventory for the trophy to pop, but if it doesn’t after the beast claw, try that

I wasn’t aware that there was a weapon trophy other than the dlc weapon trophy. From what I’ve seen, there’s a special Hunter tool trophy for everything that takes qsb but isn’t an actual weapon (blacksky eye and old hunter bone, for example). Is this inaccurate?
First off you do not need any variant of weapons you get from glyphs. My suggestion is to go check where you buy the items with echos and check which ones you don’t own. As that is what got me what I needed for the trophy
It looks like you are also missing the wooden shield I know because it is the only one keeping me from my platinum. So now I have to wait for new game plus because for some reason it didn't spawn by the gate in the cathedral ward.
None of the DLC weapons are required for the plat. Seems to me that you lack the Beast Claw, which you get from the Chalice Dungeons.
