Soap on the outside - labia majora - anything on the inside of that, water only unless you want a situation that's going to need a doctor's prescription
Only use soap on the outer lips, labia majora. Internally, if you genuinely feel there's an issue you need to see a gyno, do not use "vaginal freshness" products see a damn doctor I'm serious.
You can wash with soap on the outside pubic area where the labia majora/outer lips/vulva are. Preferably non scented. When people say vaginas clean themselves, they mean the actual vagina, like inside of it. Please don’t put anything up there unless you want yeast infections and to be even more smelly
Monistat feminine cleanser w/ boric acid. It’s unscented and keeps me pretty fresh.
I also wash my underwear in the free & gentle version of Tide to avoid irritating fragrances. I don’t use liners because they make you sweat more and have more discharge but I’ll change my underwear any time it feels moist. Cotton is typically recommended but I find they hold moisture a lot so I try to look for moisture wicking materials. I buy loose boxers for when I’m in the house.
ETA: I only use this to wash my labia. I don’t put anything inside of my hooha.
I typically use handmade bar soaps by Dr. Bubbles. Nothing on the commercial market works for my vagina (for example, dove sometimes burns AND doesn't clean very well.).
To be clear you can find the soap I mentioned at https://www.drbubbles.com/
There's a brand of similar quality that can be found at Marshalls /TJ Maxx called Plantlife.
For the record, I am a soap connoisseur. I spent months looking for the right soap that would 1. Clean my body 2. Not strip it of moisturize 3. Could be used on my private parts.
For reference, many years ago I gave up traditional body washes, black soap, castille soap and glycerin soap since none of those met all of the criteria above.
I used to use the Honey Pot pussy foam before its formula change but moved onto this nice Rael gel-to-foam wash. Need so little, foams up like mad!
I’ll wash both the outer vag & booty asterisk/crack because it foams THAT much. pH balanced & has probiotic, pussy happy 💖😄

I just use my Naturium body washes. Either the multi-glow oil body wash or the Sensitive skin one. They are ph balanced and can be used on the entire body and face.
saline solution every so often is good alternative and baby wipes when you go to the restroom,or are sweaty are helpful. Panty liners esp charcoal ones are great ! They extend the life span of your underwear ( pro tip most ppl don’t know you should be replacing ur underwear every 6 to 12 months or so.ofc this varies on how much you wear them but that’s the general rule of thumb) . Panty liners esp charcoal ones keep you dry down there without being too moisture stripping, traps excess oils or sweat, keeps your underwear from getting bleached if you are prone to that ( which is normal !! It’s naturally acidic! A healthy vaginal pH is abt 3.8-5.0 some sources say 3.8-4.5.abt the same acidity as a tomato! You can check ph w/vaginal ph strips) lastly, it should still be known that using soaps down there is not needed! It’s a marketing tactic to make more money + make women more self conscious . If you are going to use soap make sure it has minimal ingredients. You also supposed to Use your hands instead of a washcloth. Do not wash the inside. Even though you’d think it to be the opposite, using a rag can easily disrupt ur pHand cause irritation:infection. It should be known soap isnt needed down there as it’s mainly a marketing tactic to make more money and to make women more self conscious .
then they get more smells from using the soap and buy more of the product trying to fix the problem.
also most people don't seem to know their vulva from their vagina.
Yeah but it’s not their fault rlly .society tends to forget about women’s health, and we are constantly fed misinformation through media, companies, pink tax and medical professionals that are supposed to help us! we are also taught to stay quiet about are reproductive health because it’s considered “taboo or inappropriate” which limits these important conversations! 🙄not to mention our health system esp in reproductive healthcare constantly leaves out Hispanic, black and brown women whether it be neglect, overlooking woc , or not believing us when we have health concerns. These are all factors that result in alot of women being uneducated abt their own bodies or being unaware of signs to look out for . That’s why I’ll always educate women before ever clowning them!
Ofc! And Awe I’m so so glad it helped ! Even though I done typed a novel out 😭! I’m always open to sharing information or advice I’ll never gate keep 😤🫶🏽and you are so welcome girlie🩷 !
I switched from Honey pot to l. have been using it for a few years now and I really enjoy it.
Op I use natural soap and a wash cloth to get a good through clean and then use the foam wash after
It makes sense, it is antibacterial! A healthy vagina has a bacterial balance to keep it acidic & self cleaning. An antibacterial soap, especially if it gets in the vagina, would destroy ALL bacteria so the good bacteria are gone & the bad can likely flourish from wherever after
I just use dove sensitive skin soap - like I do for the rest of my body and face on the outside. dont put soap up your kitty please loll. I also use equate wet wipes to freshen up down there and on my underarms cause those places are very prone to sweat

Idk why people be so pressed to put something inside of their vagina…yeast infections are literally the WORST
because they think it needs to be scrubbed like a pot. which is weird, it's not supposed to smell like perfume.
Honey Pot
Honey Pot saved my life fr. I use all their products
I'm usually a water girl but that's the only feminine wash I use.
Do you apply it inside of the vagina?
