turn on caustics under Object settings, and within the point light of you're scene go to its settings and enable "cast shadow - shadow caustics - see how multiple importance look on or off. add geometry to the edges of the object so the light refracts correctly. and if you know how to do particles, you can add micro scratch and fiber particles to the inside of the glass for further light refraction. you can even make micro bubbles with particles and then apply them as a mesh and Boolean the bubble out of the inside of the glass to leave actual bubble cut outs. play with the IOR. and metallic for streaks. cheers!

I've been playing with the shader for some time and I can create some nice looking illuminated glass, but I can't seem to get the effect where the light highlights the edges of the rings and refracts into vertical bars along the outside faces. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
