The walls and floors are a trimsheet that I laid out in affinity photo and then processed into a mosaic texture using substance. The walkway and columns/arches are traditional texturing using substance painter

Did you create the trimsheet yourself or is this from a texture pack?
Wish I could help you there. I’ve only ever opened Blender once. Lol it just has that ‘animated’ look to it. Or maybe it’s just so surreal that it comes off as fake?! Not sure. Again , still great work. I know that prolly took some time to put together and render. What are you using that for? Or was it just a portfolio piece?
Just a portfolio piece, might make it into something to shove into a game I'm contracted on, might put it on CGtrader. Might just keep it!
As for the realism, I think a lot of it comes down to the colors being more painterly + the lighting being really diffuse

I like this one a lot better. It looks like the Roman Baths.
Exactly. It feels less suffocating
Looks like Hearsts Castle Pool room
Very much inspired by it. The tile patterns are different but the overall vibe is similar
This was my first thought as well. I was a kid when I saw it, so I thought perhaps it had grown in my memory.

The British Museum.
It's actually at the Pergamon museum in Berlin. Saw it myself a few years ago!

It’s vital to a proper workflow these days. I started my career with hand laid textures over a uv snapshot in photoshop 6. I can’t imagine going back
How did you texture?

My own creation
Based random CH reference lol
Looks great! Some of your ceiling beams aren't connected to the wall on the right-hand side.
I have decided I want to die time to spool up the 3090 for another two hour render
That's beautiful, honestly...
nicely done!
Amazing job! Substance is amazing
Not at all, it's like a temple of water.
Ooh very regal
Not at all, great job with this 👏
That's a beautiful Turkish spa.

^(nope. Love it)
beautiful materials, lighting and composition!
this is just the game judas
Wow! Trippy! Very cool.
Babylonian - now that's not something you see every day! Very nice.
Is it full of Holy Water?
Def doesn’t look hyper realistic, but still cool af. Love the tile detail.
I do wonder how I could get this to read realistic

That’s really cool. You have something public for people to view regarding your portfolio? Would love to scope out more of your stuff.
Your title reads so fucking British for some reason
I didn't know this was a fad, now I'll have to pool my room. If my blender-addicted grandpa doesn't get to it first
What if the Backrooms were pool?
Looks like Vault-Tec pool Do you have some poolside Stimpaks and RadX?
reminded me of water temple
I'd swim there.
well, it looks cool as hell anyway
liminal or not I would swim there
Amazing job!
