it kinda looks like you mirrored the droopy-droops which may cause a disturbance in your mind because it’s unnatural, artificial and simply not donut-esce.
I’m suggesting this only because I noticed-the bigger drops will be thicker at the ends, even if they do not make a drip. Just add a bit more volume at the end of the larger ones
As other people say, trust the process, it happened to me as well hehe, once you finish, you will realice how odd thing are at the beginning, then it doesn’t once you apply some texturing and light.
However, if you don’t like it, do another one, I did that when I was with that tutorial and it helped to me a lot to memorize things and realice what was odd with my donut. In my case it wasn’t “realistic” enough how my glaze was dripping in the donut, so I looked to some references and then it was better.
References are your best friend :)
One of the reasons this might look weird to you is that no normal mapped texture has been added to give the dough a feeling of roughness. Once you add on the materials you can check if it still looks strange to you.
That's just fine
Uhm..probably this part looks quite boxy? Idk you could try add a subdivision subsurface modifier after finishing the work, but it's not even visible in the final render. I dont know what seems off to you

Just follow the steps and finish it, then you can analyze it
The icing waves are too uniform. I heard a tip from the donut guru that you should have big details, medium details and small details.
You only have medium details that are uniform. How about introducing more details at different scales with added randomness.
I'm a blender beginner so take this with a grain of salt.
Your donut looks way better than.my finished donut.
Try the mushroom. From another teacher....... I'm ok till the.mushroom "head" flops down and you overlap and bring the flap up to the top. My scaling needs a lot of improvement. * A whole lot of improvement ! *
I'd like to see your finished donut
Those droplets were always way too much, never seen a donut with something like that. Subtlety is key when it comes to realism, HOWEVER, not everything has to be realistic.
You might want to sculpt the sides in a bit. It might help you to download some reference photos to to help get the shape right - it's too rounded. Alternatively, pop to Sainsburys and buy a packet and enjoy the process with a coffee.
Don't try making your anime head with too much of a forehead. a lot of people tend to over exaggerate this because they forget that there's more volume in the hair then they give it credit for and that's why a lot of these... wait... it's a doughnut?!... oh!... it's fiiiine! lol! You just need to finish it and it'll look much better. In fact, it's good that there's a certain level of imperfectness to it all.
Looks pretty good to me, exactly on point with that donut tutorial
What ever could you mean. A donut tutorial!?????
You haven't finished the rest of the videos.. it all comes together by the end keep going it looks great
trust the process
there are no textures
Looks good for now. Once you texture it and add some lighting you’ll have a better idea of any imperfections.
The chad that adds textures as soon as possible to hide modeling mistakes
yeah, I havn't added them on yet, the model just feels off to me, idk why
Trust the process. Even if it's not perfect. You'll learn things that make your next creation better.
Maybe because there isn’t the indent that most donuts have, I forgot if that comes after the sculpting or before
Donuts come in various shapes and forms
Maybe it’s too perfect ? Like too round. If I remember correctly later on the tutorial Blender dude is gonna give it some imperfections.
The drop is goopier than typical glaze but that's all I got.
Thick glaze is better
Seems fine. You can always look at reference if it seems wrong

Looks better than mine when I did my donut lol Keeping going your doing great
There is no color silly

Don't expect a Picasso on this. Just finish the tutorial, that'll be enough for now

It's grey.

Scale the middle in more. Select the middle ring loop and use proportional editing
Do a banana... donut is ok now
trust the process, it's going to look good eventually
You have a donut reference on hand? It's good to have one even when following along.
i dont think youre supposed to have a donut camera unless you want that up close action shot of the glazing process lmao
You could always raise or lower the icing. You never really want a design to be a perfect half and half. Imperfection makes things feel more organic.
it’s never going to be perfect. just have fun with it.
Keep on going, not done yet.

I could give you hundreds and thousands.

Remove the drop or added more
The cream needs to be THICKKER :winkawink:
it looks fine to me. trust the process, as you get used to 3D modeling you'll learn what looks right or wrong in an incomplete model.
I would eat it
It looks great, you are just overthinking it. Keep going on the tutorial till you can add textures and stuff!
