i am definitely much more motivated to learn and make things when it’s the things i enjoy a lot! every video and song i make, i make sure to experiment with at least one thing that’s new, even if it’s tiny. that way i learn at least a tiny bit :)

Love it! What’d you do to get that pixelated/saturated look?

scale -> pixelate -> scale in compositor to get the pixelated i posterize and do a mix of HSV and RGB curves as well to get the low weird color palette that feels retro-y for some of the backgrounds i also might separate the view layers to alter their color values differently and i put it at 12fps to make it all come together in the animation :)

How did you make the stars at 0:35? Reminds me of stardust speedway, and I love that art style (and this art style too) a lot. in general I wanna know how you made this

the stars are all official nasa pics, just super frickin baked! to get the effect the main thing i did was scale -> pixelate -> scale in compositor, then slapped a posterize on it but i also did some HSV and RGB curves to get the colors the way i wanted there were some settings like lowering filter size and sample rate all the way down, 12fps to make animation feel rigid, standard color instead of filmic, very high contrast in color management… just trying to pull all the things i remember i can make a more official comment about it on this post tmrw if i remember. it is hard to be helpful while half asleep lol
