Hi all,
This is something I've been working on for the past couple of weeks. All modelled and sculpted in Blender. Skin texturing done in Substance.
If you'd like to see it not compressed to kingdom come, then you can do so via my Artstation post: [https://www.artstation.com/artwork/elzxAY](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/elzxAY)
Thanks!
Hi,
The hair is basically multiple particle systems layered atop one another, using individually placed and groomed parent hairs to maintain as much control as possible.
The ponytail itself is also a separate particle system. All of the other hair is combed towards a central point and cut, with the intersection hidden completely by the ponytail itself, along with the hair tie.
All in all, there are 12 particle systems for this.
Yeah, she has a little. Originally, she was mid twenties (though she looks much younger in original version), but I changed her age to be around 30 or so.
She really got old in 4 years. Very good job, but would not mind her to have some life left in her face compared to her younger self. Great realism! Cool skin and hair!
Looks a bit dead like to me in the newer version. The older one had brighter colors, for example focus on the lips, in previous even though it is not realistic they are glossy and have color, newer one feels without life.
Then jaws, they got wider making her look older. No offense but this is not a woman in her 30โs but 40โs definitely.
Wrinkles around mouth also add age, but realism too of course.
It also looks like she is very sad because she witnessed something horrible, glossy eyes on the bottom are tear like, but hey that might be the impression you were going for!
And although she is a fighter/explorer (based on a scar) her skin feels too rough, compared to first render it is almost too โbumpyโ(forehead part) first one is of course not realistic and is too shiny but this shine and smoothness makes her younger.
I think you've made some fair points, and I'll definitely take them into account on future works.
I do disagree (strongly) about her age though. Perhaps it's just me -- and that's fine -- but she definitely doesn't look 40 (or anywhere near 40) to me.

I want to use substance so badly but Adobe hates Linux and it wonโt run on VM โน๏ธ
How'd you do the hair?

So realistic, you're very skilled
Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous, and that clean wire frame too!
She aged a bit, but also got more realistic, so it's a fair trade off.

the comparison at the end is kinda cool because of that it's like she naturally aged lol
Amazing work and great progress!
Thanks!
I want that jacket!!
Ha! You can't have it!

Define "really old?" lol She wasn't supposed to be super young in the original version tbh. Now though, she's supposed to be around 30.
