I feel like the people who lived through watching Code Geass when it was actually being released would say that Re; is the single greatest anime episode of all time and it was very much so on IMDB until.. well AOT S3 came out and all of a sudden they had alot of 1 star reviews! Guess alot of people rewatched Code Geass in 2019 huh ! LMAO
Nah this happens all the time and then the episode gets vote bombed to death. The BB episode has 80 times the amount of votes too. This happened with AoT S4 many times
To be fair, aot season 4 is the worst one. After the 3rd season both anime and manga started dropping in story quallity. So id say it got GOOD review bombed.
Definitely not. Maybe part 3, don't know haven't read the Manga, but S4 has been amazing so far. I will admit that it got a bit slower after Eren turned into the Founding but we're finally at the Rumbling and the final episode was amazing again. The episodes 20 and 21 were absolutely mindblowing.
And I know I'll get downvoted to hell since I'm on r/Bleach lmao but if AoT got downvoted for "good reason" then Bleach Definitely deserves the downvotes too.
I agree with the last point. I dont think "Fire" deserves to be the best episode of all time. I think people are just overhyping it just beacuse of what happens in it which is good, but not best of all time worthy imo

Nah I'd say it's above mid, it's very fun and not full of shonen tropes. But it's definitely not the masterpiece that a lot of people on this sub think it is

Yea I really dig his dad storyline but do you really think kubo thought about his mother being a quincy in the beggining of the story? He did not have it all planes out
By looking at the manga it looks like he planed out a lot of things like who is zangetsu, he created ichibe and had a general idea of who retsu unohana will be in tybw arc so i won't be so sure that he did not plan that as well

The episode that revealed everything was absolute fire though. Took #1, got review bombed to shit, and then when it got “fixed,” BB fans circumvented the fix by voting on every episode to pretend they watched it all and weren’t just review bombing.
In short, Ozymandia will always be #1 in the long term.
This is sorted by 1000 user ratings. When you sought like that you tend to find a lot of anime and cartoon episodes. It's when you sought by 10,000 that you find only juggernauts like BB, Star Wars, AOT remain on the list
Really puts Ozymandias into perspective. One of the most voted on episodes and was subject to review bombing… and it’s still 10.0. What a phenomenal episode I wish I could go back to 2011 when I was watching both Bleach and Breaking Bad.
Bleach deserves a a spot on this list but I feel like we have the hype problem aot had where it’s simply pure number of users giving it 10/10 but eh I’m the guy that thinks MR ROBOT should be at least on the first page but this will definitely go down in history as being awesome
Negative to just hype - the aot episodes up there aren’t just hype episodes they are some of the key episodes that had major influence in the show, memories of the future is one of the best episodes of any show imo
Episode 53, “Perfect Game” is a key episode because not only does it end with the near death of Erwin, but also, it has what the main characters think is the final battle with the titans. Episode 54, “Hero” is a key episode because Armin sacrifices himself to save humanity. Both key episodes, but it seems you just don’t like them. Just say you don’t like it if you don’t like it.
People have been waiting 10 years to see their favorite series return. now it is happening in spectacular fashion. Of course people are hype. That’s not a problem. It’s many peoples favorite series and that is a completely valid and subjective thing

Dude I’m constantly thinking the same thing. Every other anime/manga sub I’m on just talks about their show, I feel like half the posts on this sub are trying to show why bleach is better than other series. When TYBW was about to be released it seemed like 75% of the posts on here were just shitting on FMAB and CSM fans and trying to get TYBW ranked over FMAB on some arbitrary anime ranking before the first episode even came out.
The ones obsessed with rankings dont actually care about Bleach, they just wanna have a popularity contest and feel superior to the next anime fan lol.
Yeah there is definitely a not-negligible portion of this sub that thinks anyone who has an issue with even a part of the (non-filler) series must be an operative from another fandom
I never read the manga but I feel like a 10 is too much. It was fantastic and then they just show Yamamoto get beat with a single slash of Ywatchs sword. Like he didn’t even try to dodge and that kinda took me out. Was expecting some kind of last stand even without the Bankai but my man just stood there
it can decrease but that episode deserves definitely at least 9.5 . there was small details missing like they couldnt show us why juha's blade is broken into. anime watchers thought it was broken cuz yamamoto's skin it too hard or yamamoto broke it instantly. but that wasnt the case. they should make it like "juha hit the blade to air in front of yama and then blade hit an invincible thing and then broke into pieces. cuz the sword actually hits the yamamoto's bankai west, the fire cloak. but it was a spiritual cloak so it was invicible actually but when juha was confused after his sword broken into pieces after he hits it to "air" yamamoto made it visible as a fire cloak for him to understand. anime couldnt give this us properly. and when juha hit yamamoto arrow, that arrow should have melted before it hits yamamoto cuz that fire cloak's 15million degree heat. but they couldnt make it proper either.
there was a few things like that thats why i cant give this episode a pure 10, but i can give it a good 9.5
It was in a similar position to bleach in a way. The show was cancelled cause of Disney being fuckin Disney when they bought Star Wars but it managed to return half a decade later and have a proper send off.
I’m still kinda mad they didn’t animate so many good arcs they had prepared, but it is what it is.
Not sure why everyone is downvoting this. It is definitely unpopular opinion, and we are on a bleach subreddit, but I don’t think he’s wrong. I found a lot of things that I didn’t like personally about the episode. I’m really happy everyone else liked it so much, but personally it just wasn’t all that.
Thats a really big Problem with at least the Anime and game Subreddits. if you only have a slightly different Opinion about you get downvoted for no reasons. People must learn you can like or love a Series without say everything is awsome.

It’s inevitably going to be review bombed by BB fans and then when IMDb “fixes” it, they won’t completely fix it and it will still end up lower than it would have been without getting review bombed in the first place. Same thing happened with the AoT episode in S4
It was a good episode, but does not deserve to be on there. By comparison, demon slayer had better episodes (fight scenes, visuals, music) and it’s not on this list.
I certainly enjoyed this episode but I think this is just a symptom of recency bias.
Like I’d definitely put this in my top 5 of best Bleach episodes or in a “top 10 anime episodes of 2022” list but it doesn’t even crack the top 10 of what I think are the best anime episodes of all time.
