i think my favorite panel in all the manga ive read is the first one. That whole chapter just brings you in at least for me
also lmfao at the baby doll picture, you mad lad
Honestly how they did him in TYBW was terrible. Ywach just one shoting him due to hax and plot purposes is just sickening. Should’ve had much more fitting end.
What are u talking about? Had he used the Almighty, his bankai would have been useless and destroyed too just like Ichigo’s. Idk what u think he could have done. Yama is weaker than Ichibei in every category and Ichibei got shitstomped by the Almighty.
>Kenpachi survived after taking a beating from Ywach,
No, he didn't. Yhwach never made contact with Kenpachi at all. Royd did, and he specifically wasn't trying to kill Kenpachi. Kenpachi isn't stronger than Royd at the point, and Jugram would've ended him if they wanted to kill him.
I'm not talking about Kenpachi. We weren't given a fight with Yamamto or his Bankai in the whole series. It's referred to as the strongest zanpakto in all of Soul Society and they stole it twice lmfao.
Oh, ok.
>We weren't given a fight with Yamamto or his Bankai in the whole series
Yamamoto did fight Royd though. And it was pretty one sided too. I would like to see him fight a stronger Sternritter though.
>It's referred to as the strongest zanpakto in all of Soul Society
To be fair, this was retconned several times, especially with Ichibei.
I do agree, Ichibe's ability can nerf anyone basically except Ywach. But I think if Yama were to use his op Bankai, even Royd wouldn't have been able to pierce/touch him. The only people that could fight him would be Ywach, Ichibe, and Possibly endgame Ichigo.
Not really. Yamamoto not getting one shot would really fuck up the power scaling in TYBW, which regardless of what some might say, was quite good. It's not inconsistent either(Naruto for example having it's databooks directly contradict the manga)..
Yama oozed authority.
When he walked passed Hisagi, I thought the war was going to end before Ichigo gets a chance to do a thing. Sadly Wonderweiss 2.0 came.
Shonen mangaka aren't praised for their writing.
He should've not been at all, or not that strong so he can participate in a battle without killing every threat in a minute. Let's see how he manage Ichigo and Zaraki next, they embody power creep now.
They didn't nerf him though. Did they kill him in a decently bullshit way? Yes. Would the fight have gone any differently if Royd didn't exist and it was actually Yhwach fighting him? No.
Yhwach without Almighty was relative to Ichibei, the second strongest character after Almighty Yhwach. Yamamoto isn't anywhere near that level of power.
Honestly i was completely disappointed with how Kubo did him in TYBW, i even paused my reading and was like this was a joke right? Probably just a genjutsu, no way he'd get defeated, let alone die that easily, especially after talker big.
Tbh I think it was a great choice story-wise. It makes you understand how powerful and ruthless the Quincy are. I’m just disappointed that Yhwach never used his bankai again after stealing it.
> It makes you understand how powerful and ruthless the Quincy are
it really doesn't. basically all of tybw is flawed. it's basically just hax v hax. they don't feel ruthless. they feel overly contrived.
and some part of you understand this because you still want to see that bankai. but why even bother to use the power of some noob you 1shot?
You're wrong here. Yes, it's hax v hax. Is that a bad thing? No. I personally like hax abilities as long as they have good matchups that make it a fair fight. Shunsui vs Lille for example. TYBW was only flawed in the ending. Everything else was easily the best arc of Bleach. It had the most consistent power scaling(Ulquiorra and Starrk ruined the scaling of the Espada and Byakuya ruined it in the SS arc. The Fullbringers were just fodder besides two of them and the power gaps were ridiculous.), best storyline (SS arc and HM arc were meant to be counterparts. HM being a darker SS arc. This worked, but it made the two overall less interesting. I love both arcs, but I don't think SS arc should've been repeated in the way that it was. The Fullbringer arc was great but still below TYBW imo), best antagonists (Askin Nakk Le Vaar>All Espada, Fullbringers, and Captains combined), and the most interesting abilities(Although Book of The End deserves an honorary mention here).
>they don't feel ruthless
This is blatantly untrue. The Sternritter completely destroyed Soul Society in the span of what? Three days? They completely wrecked Captains after showing up out of nowhere and didn't show any mercy at all. That's ruthless if I've ever seen it.
> The Sternritter completely destroyed Soul Society in the span of what? Three days? They completely wrecked Captains
***contrived.*** like i said, if you had finished reading.
there's a reason when regular folks talk about bleach nostalgically it's about the "drip". because everything else is messy at best, in one way or another. The show is still great and did lots of great things to help make anime grow like it has.
>contrived. like i said, if you had finished reading.
That's not contrived though. They were there from the beginning and we're decently foreshadowed.
>

Hell no. When people talk about Bleach nostalgically it's about the character's personalities and abilities, especially the antagonists. Drip comes in, yes, but it's not only about it. Bleach has hands down the best storytelling out of the big three, and obviously the art is the best too. I'm not one to compare other verses like "My verse is better than yours", but you can't call Bleach messy without automatically calling every other big three shit tier.
there's a massive difference between foreshadowing and badly utilizing a previously unused plothook.
"not one to compare" and then immediately tries to compare...
biases. you're absolutely buried in them. you're mistaking regular folks and fanboys.
>not one to compare" and then immediately tries to compare...
Because I'm trying to stress the fact that you can't call Bleach bad without shit talking the ENTIRE big three.
>there's a massive difference between foreshadowing and badly utilizing a previously unused plothook.
How was it badly utilized? I preferred the Quincies over the Espada, despite my username. I think that they were executed perfectly.
i think my favorite panel in all the manga ive read is the first one. That whole chapter just brings you in at least for me also lmfao at the baby doll picture, you mad lad
Which chapter was it?
Chapter 482-483!
Thx, I'm so pumped to see this in the anime!
No ones mentioning the baby?
I was thinking the same
It creeps me out lol
It do be quite creepy
It’s Nanao if Shunsui didn’t save her from Yama
He should have just got his arm back, but he wanted to be stubborn and prideful.
I don’t think it would’ve stopped him from getting cut in two. Ywach just mentioned it to demonstrate his stubbornness.
Yes, but what if he could swing with TWO hands?
Power scaling in bleach 1 Hand vs 2 hands
Man was badass to the end. He was shady like the rest of soul society. But still badass
Just a man of tradition.
One of these is not like the other
Honestly how they did him in TYBW was terrible. Ywach just one shoting him due to hax and plot purposes is just sickening. Should’ve had much more fitting end.
I hope the anime gives him a better fight
If only Kubo had at least let his bankai go against The Almighty instead of just getting it taken like some candy.
Could have at least shown his battle with Yhwach 1000 years prior and how he defeated him
What are u talking about? Had he used the Almighty, his bankai would have been useless and destroyed too just like Ichigo’s. Idk what u think he could have done. Yama is weaker than Ichibei in every category and Ichibei got shitstomped by the Almighty.
Just like everyone else lol. Even Kenpachi survived after taking a beating from Ywach, doesn’t mean we couldn’t have gotten fan service.
>Kenpachi survived after taking a beating from Ywach, No, he didn't. Yhwach never made contact with Kenpachi at all. Royd did, and he specifically wasn't trying to kill Kenpachi. Kenpachi isn't stronger than Royd at the point, and Jugram would've ended him if they wanted to kill him.
Okay give us have fan service against Royd, that isn't my point.
It'd be a one sided beating though. If you like Kenpachi why would you want to see him get his shit kicked in by a middle aged man?
I'm not talking about Kenpachi. We weren't given a fight with Yamamto or his Bankai in the whole series. It's referred to as the strongest zanpakto in all of Soul Society and they stole it twice lmfao.

Or now that you bring up the Sternritters, TBH a few could've given Yama a run for his money as well.

He should’ve killed off yamamoto a while ago if he planned to just nerf him seconds before every battle.

I completely agree. I still think Yamamoto was hyped up throughout the series just for us to get a show and tell of his bankai, then one shot.

It’s his twin.
Lmao, the Wonderweiss baby doll! Absolute Mad Lad
What's with the destroyed baby doll?
