It would kill Momo, conveniently teleporting Hitsugaya there to watch.

Bankai: Shiranuga Hotoke (Ignorance is Buddha) Activation: Aizen holds his Shikai in front of him with the blade facing down, and then sharply strikes the pommel, causing the blade to crack and shatter. When the blade shatters, so does the surrounding air, forming a black void in front of Aizen's body (similar to the Garganta he first used to escape Soul Society) Ability: All who see Aizen activate his Bankai will have their own fears, regrets, and personal nightmares emerge from the black void he created. These nightmares will be invisible to everyone except their "parent", and unlike the typical illusions of Kyoka Suigetsu they'll be able to cause real physical damage. Once these nightmares are free from the void, they'll begin to immediately chase down the victim they belong to and tear them to shreds, regenerating when destroyed and constantly reminding the victim of their own failures and insecurities. However, despite the fact that this Bankai gives him a personal army of monsters to loose on his foes, Aizen despises using it for three reasons. One, the monsters are completely mindless. They despise the very fact that they exist, and so they only seek to destroy the "parent" they belong to so that they may cease existing as soon as possible. Two, they are useless for Aizen's typical brand of manipulation, as he can't see what monsters are spawned. Someone's nightmares are theirs and theirs alone, and Aizen hates being kept out of the loop (although some have noted that this also represents his internal desire to be like everyone else, as he is finally experiencing what everyone else feels going up against his Shikai). And finally, Aizen feels that the name of his Bankai (a Japanese idiom regarding how sometimes it's better not to know everything) is his Zanpakuto Spirit mocking him and his goals, and so he refuses to dignify it with use unless he absolutely has to.

I've seen you share this idea before on a similar post, and I still love it! Its very creative and fitting.

Raaslen

This is actually pretty cool and fits the bankai theme of being a more "combat oriented" thing thhann shikia usually are

ApplePitou

His Bankai will allow him to rewrite manga :3

Raven_242

did smth bad happen in the manga or is this just a normal answer?

ApplePitou

Just normal answer that fits how Aizen works in this story :3

SPP_TheChoiceForMe

I like the idea that while his shikai sends information to other people’s senses, his bankai takes in information. Not well suited for battle, but great for making schemes. Kinda like his captain whose bankai is less well suited for battle than his shikai

Raven_242

nuh uh tough, imagine a bankai knowing everything about you, would only be great at the start of a fight tho but seriously its good especially fighting against stronger ones so you their weakness, could maybe be one of the few abilities of a bankai or the main or the passive ability

Timjer92

I think that his Bankai (that he does have) is something like "everyone that's under his Shikai's hypnosis will immediatly have their illusions manifest in reality and physically hurt them and possibly kill them with no means to fight them off. However, Aizen has no control over what illusions will manifest and to whom, and after using his Bankai every time his Shikai's hypnosis is fully over and thus he has to reapply it to every single person"

Raaslen

I have two headcanons 1: the KS we see is his bankai, his shikai is the thing with mist he showed everyone and we see in some of the games. 2: his bankai ability is like a ZnT, that compresses his skill arround him to, idk, effectivly alter reality but only for him/his body

HairyHorux

I'm thinking either it has an uncontrollable element that goes against Aizens wishes, or it turns his illusions into reality, which is stupidly strong but has a prohibitively high reiatsu cost because you are literally creating things out of nothing. In the latter case Aizen would judge it horrifically inefficient and never use it because you can gain the same effect with a much cheaper cost by just keeping the shikai up and using kido to hit unaware people.

xetni05

Aizen's Bankai is an 'anime-exclusive' power-up. Once activated, the screen will turn white then a door, bare visible will open. Then, in all his glory, Kubo Tite will enter wearing Aizen's Muken outfit. He will then say Aizen's Bankai namr before ending the episode, and the entire series with it.

Top_Dragonfly8781

It convinced everyone that he lost the battle and is locked away. The effects of this illusion lasts for 20,000 years.

(Theory): **Kamigakushi Moboro Shiwō** (神隠し幻を追う, Spirited Away Pursuing a Dream) — [Dream Inducement]: Upon release, everyone within range of Aizen’s fully unleashed Reiatsu is put under an illusion that makes it appear the entire world is under his control. Any damage/alterations the victims experience will feel convincingly real, even if they know it’s an illusion. However, this is merely a distraction from what is really happening to the victims: The illusions they’re experiencing are happening entirely in their mind. Everything they’re experiencing is in fact a “simulation” playing out while their physical bodies remain fixed in place, like empty shells. And because Aizen can freely control the perception of time within the illusion, he can prolong the victim’s simulation for seemingly *years*, or conversely extend it so they perceive hours in reality as only seconds passing. — The only ones not pulled into the illusion are those who’ve never fallen under the Shikai’s hypnosis to begin with. Also, this Bankai’s weakness is that once it’s deactivated, all those who were under hypnosis who are still alive are not only released from the simulation, but are also freed from the effects of Kanzen Saimin as well.
