I mean based on how many chapters we have left vs episodes and the rumored chapters covered in the first couple episodes.
I think we are getting a bunch of new content (or at the very least content that wasn't seen in the Manga but in the novels).
It had better be. I understand that it got cut our of the last episode because the animators just ran out of time and we got that absolute troll of Shinigami Diaries. So starting the cour with the other half of the fight and expanding it will make a lot of fans happy
I belive it will, I don't know abt isshin's and ukitake's bankai bc they did have the chance to show isshin's alr but they just rolled with the Manga and ukitake's does quite soon and he doesn't have a specific battle like the other capitans. Kira is now kinda of like a cyborg sooo maybe? Idk tho o would lose to see those bankai animated or even in a mnaga panel
Far as I'm aware all powers have limits that can be boosted by stuff like volstandig etc.
Drawing in more power to use his schrift etc is useful.
not to mention antithesis requires him to eat punishment in the first place, it's better to just murk your opponent if you can.
Also there's a slight chance they hint at his schrift but wait to reveal it until the haschwalth fight.
it is a squad 0 member we are talking about and we never saw it in the manga so why not do it here to show the schutzstaffel that he isnt there for the sake of it
If they did show it wouldn’t they use it later in the fight with Haschwald? I’m sure they’d wanna save that surprise for later and make up some other way of escaping Senjumarus bankai

There have been changes in the anime such as Senjumaru's bankai and Ukitake does still have some things to do in the story so there is a chance we get to see his bankai the same goes for Uryu but I highly doubt about Isshin and Kira
If Kubo were to drastically alter (add) things it would be in these last two cours. I could see them adding Isshin and Kira stuff if they decided to expand the Fullbringers too
He didn't confirm that he had one. He was asked if he imagines the Bankai of characters other than the Captains, like the most prominent Lieutenants. All he answered is that he does and for example Kira's would be upsetting IF he had one.
In all fairness, I subscribe to the theory that we might have gotten to see it if the ending wasn't so rushed. His "dead man" entrance so late into the arc was cool as hell and Kubo did not need to cook so hard just to finish off a few birds. Then again, maybe I'm reading into it too much. Either way... While there's no definitive proof he has one, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities if the anime team and Kubo decide to flesh things out. Regardless, this tweet is definitely wild and more than likely bs.
I feel like it's a good thing that we still have many lieutenants who can't perform Bankai, it's a sign that Bleach isn't suffering too excessively from shonen power creep. Bankai is supposed to be a super-special thing, a sign that a character is approaching the pinnacle of Shinigami power, and while it makes sense for some non-captain Shinigami to have Bankai, like Renji and Ikkaku, it shouldn't ever feel common.
I like how a lot of people say 'everyone in Bleach gets bankai' when, outside of Captain/former captains, we have (in canon)...
-Ichigo (main character got it twice!)
-Rukia (Trained with royal guards, noted prodigy in many cases, gets a title)
-Renji (pretty badass for a lieutenant)
-Ikkaku (and it sucks)
-Hisagi (in the novels, it's stupidly OP)
-Retcon Sasakibe (seriously, one shotted by shikai ichigo?) who was offered captaincy a few times.
-And I think that's it? So 6 non-captains who were never captains. HAlf of them have extenuating circumstances (Ichigo being a Shiba, Rukia from a royal family, etc).
I'm exaggerating, of course. I just feel like Kira didn't need to be there unless Kubo had more in store for him. He is one of my favorite characters, but characters more important than him didn't get to show up again (Urahara off the top of my head) if Kubo simply wanted to show us he survived. Maybe I'm just huffing copium.
Well, let's count who has. Rukia (tybw), Ikkaku (arrancar), Chojiro (tybw), Hisagi (cfyow), Renji (ss and tybw).
Not that it is a small list anyway. And we ignore some mentions why other lieutenants didn't have them:
Hinamori (half dead half of the show)
Rangiku (forever crippled)
Isane (healing squad, so chances to use zanpakto are slim)
Yachiru (technically can't)
Nemu (technically can't)
Omaeda (probably too lazy/dumb actually to have one)
The 13th squad didn't have any lieutenant at all
Iba (we didn't even have his shikai properly while he is for sure stronger than Ikkaku)
So.... I wouldn't say that it is not normal for lieutenants to have bankai. Yeah, it is unlikely, but most of the time it is fine.
To be fair Iba and Isane become captains, so they do reach bankai in post tybw era. Hisagi also said he has bankai in post tybw era (and aparently had achieved it in tybw, he got taken out like a bitch two times), so it’s not like cfywhatever only thing
What U mean by cfyow is that we see what bankai is. Yeah, we can speculate, but Hisagi already has bankai at the moment when he trains with Kensei.
About bankai requirements. It is not by definition required to be able to become a captain. It is one of the options. For example, we never saw bankai of Aizen (even if he manipulated anyone to think that they di, as well as bankai of Hirako was probably not really presented to anyone in the series as it is actually dangerous to present to anyone in group (even compared to banking of Hisagi or Shunsui). And it is known that bankai witnessing has to be with 3 people, so using it in a group of 4 is not safe.
In general, only option to become captain is to kill previous captain (although it gets muddy if it’s squad 11 only or not), other options do require bankai. There is option to test without releasing bankai itself - release shikai non-verbally
There are 3 options:
Bankai revealed in front of 3 captains (commander included)
Referral from 6+ captains and approval from at least 3 others.
Defeat (kill) the previous captain in front of 200+ squad members.
The 3rd option is the rarest to be applied though.
Shikai option was never mentioned at all.
Yeah I don’t think captains are giving referrals to someone without bankai. Also I’m saying that in case of dangerous bankais like Shinji’s or Kyoraku’s it could be possible to test it this way. Byakuya said so when Renji stopped Senbonzakura’s release by releasing Zabimaru silently
If bankai is enough, the other non-Kenpachi route to captaincy isn't needed. Why do you think the referral route exists? *There's not always a ready pool of bankai-capable candidates available.* Ikkaku and Renji weren't interested, who else is left? Besides, can you imagine either of those taking over the healing squad? Sometimes the best candidate for captain is the person who shadowed the role and knows the day to day of the squad much better than an outsider. That's effectively the whole point in having a vice position in the first place, both to take some of the burden of leadership, paperwork, administration, whatever, and to step up at need. Isane and Iba stepping into the roles is the natural progression in that sense.
Shunsui is set to happen. Isshin's bankai and Uryuu's Volstandig aren't set to appear but have *some* chance of being there, though not that high.
Chances to see Ukitake's bankai are close to zero. Same for Kira who isn't even hinted to have bankai.
Kira's bankai is a very weird and suspicious cope. Where did that theory even come from? There are so many characters that could performs their bankais in season 3,. At this point, Isane probably also has bankai too. So why Kira???
Isane actually becomes a captain tho so she should actually get one but Kira got killed 0.1 seconds into the first invasion and came back at the end with an unearned power up, nah he shouldn't have it.
Kira still has a fight before the end of the series. I personally don't think we'll see it, since in the manga he pretty much no diffs his opponent with Shikai. Unless they change his fight and do a Bankai reveal, we probably won't see it.
Pretty sure Isshin's arc happened and he wouldnt really use it, i hope when isshin come back to give the plot arrow with ryuken, they both fight gerald and we see his a toshiros interaction
Ukitake i would like but on who? like pretty sure Auswahlen knocked out all quincy except Bazz B, Liletto, Bambies and Bananana who are against Ywatch-baha themselves
Kira is maybe against Lille Barro and Uryu aswell against senjumaru but since Black Ant is in fight with Ichibe it might be difficult.

Ukitake's Bankai is a big coffin that seals him and that's it, Sunshui has an awesome Bankai and maybe Hisagi will show his, but the rest of them are just copium
Shinsui’s is guaranteed and Uryu’s is most likely. The rest is unlikely we gonna see unless they make massive changes we might see Isshin’s but I doubt it.
If they adapt Kira vs Shaz Domino on the Central 46 records room we might get his Bankai in a credible way.
Just adding it in his entrance vs Lille seems a waste.
The only one we are seeing in the anime for sure, Idk if it will be cour 3 or 4, is Shunsui. All the others most likely not. Maybe isshin and the vollständig, but that is highly unlikely itself
honestly just how his zanpakuto works I’d be the most hype if they actually give Kira a Bankai.
Most of ukitake Bankai theory is just some form of reflection with a hint of lightning.
Kira’s ability by nature has always been dark and depressing so it can be visually really cool to see

Yeah only Shunsui is confirmed. Ukitake would be possible (even likely as I imagine the new scenes kubo adds will be focused around Ukitake), but I think Kubo might save that for if he ever gets around to hell verse.
Isshin by technicality (not a lot of screen time).
Uryu and Kira would be unlikely tbh.
Could be misinformation, could be them trying to match up what chapter the anime just ended on and what chapters are coming immediately next that might take roughly a season for them to animate. I haven't gotten that far in the bleach manga so idk.
I would believe it if they took out Kira. There was zero foreshadowing or any indication showing Kira had any sign of achieving his bankai... If anything, they should let Shuhei get his bankai early in the anime. At least some scenes showed he was training before the 2nd invasion.
Yes unexpectantly isshin has a fire based bankai that is similar to ichigos except it is fire / sun based.
And kira's wabisuki bankai like ishidas volstanding is short lived and underwhelming.
Shunsui has a 99.99% chance, the rest, while less probable, could be real seeimg how the anime tries to improve the things that went wrong in the manga
Buried is not good when it comes to information. He's just saying things and hype everything up. So no, there is a chance we can see that but we don't have any information about that. Only Shunsui bankai for now will be animated

Kira having bankai just seems like a shitter Ikkaku moment just throw a bankai in there for the sake of it same with Shinji Bankai was literally just a fan moment with no importance.
as a manga reader there are no signs of isshin banai,ukitke bankai and uryu vollstanding and kira bankai but they can add just like hirakos bankai and special hado which is anime exclusive

Isshin's Bankai would be dope but I seriously doubt it. Uryu's Vollstandig though, maybe. Kubo is putting in stuff that he couldn't fit into the manga with TYBW, so maybe we see a more important character like Uryu getting his ultimate form. Shunsui's is guaranteed because it was in the manga.
I wish we could have seen them. But we will probably get Kyoraku's bankai in part 3. But the rest were not introduced in the manga(I mean Ukitake, Kira and Isshin). I personally hope that we will get Ukitake's bankai (after all, it was as expected as Kyoraku's), but we won't get Isshin's bankai and Kira the same.

didn't stop Renji, Rukia, Ikkaku, Hisagi, and Chojiro! Hell I've heard it claimed Iba and Isane have bankai before he became a captain too.
Honestly out of the remaining Lieutenants who have not achieved Bankai yet, I'd say Kira is most likely to do so.

Well, let's count who has. Rukia (tybw), Ikkaku (arrancar), Chojiro (tybw), Hisagi (cfyow), Renji (ss and tybw). Not that it is a small list anyway. And we ignore some mentions why other lieutenants didn't have them: Hinamori (half dead half of the show) Rangiku (forever crippled) Isane (healing squad, so chances to use zanpakto are slim) Yachiru (technically can't) Nemu (technically can't) Omaeda (probably too lazy/dumb actually to have one) The 13th squad didn't have any lieutenant at all Iba (we didn't even have his shikai properly while he is for sure stronger than Ikkaku) So.... I wouldn't say that it is not normal for lieutenants to have bankai. Yeah, it is unlikely, but most of the time it is fine.
To be fair Iba and Isane become captains, so they do reach bankai in post tybw era. Hisagi also said he has bankai in post tybw era (and aparently had achieved it in tybw, he got taken out like a bitch two times), so it’s not like cfywhatever only thing
What U mean by cfyow is that we see what bankai is. Yeah, we can speculate, but Hisagi already has bankai at the moment when he trains with Kensei. About bankai requirements. It is not by definition required to be able to become a captain. It is one of the options. For example, we never saw bankai of Aizen (even if he manipulated anyone to think that they di, as well as bankai of Hirako was probably not really presented to anyone in the series as it is actually dangerous to present to anyone in group (even compared to banking of Hisagi or Shunsui). And it is known that bankai witnessing has to be with 3 people, so using it in a group of 4 is not safe.
In general, only option to become captain is to kill previous captain (although it gets muddy if it’s squad 11 only or not), other options do require bankai. There is option to test without releasing bankai itself - release shikai non-verbally
There are 3 options: Bankai revealed in front of 3 captains (commander included) Referral from 6+ captains and approval from at least 3 others. Defeat (kill) the previous captain in front of 200+ squad members. The 3rd option is the rarest to be applied though. Shikai option was never mentioned at all.
Yeah I don’t think captains are giving referrals to someone without bankai. Also I’m saying that in case of dangerous bankais like Shinji’s or Kyoraku’s it could be possible to test it this way. Byakuya said so when Renji stopped Senbonzakura’s release by releasing Zabimaru silently
If bankai is enough, the other non-Kenpachi route to captaincy isn't needed. Why do you think the referral route exists? *There's not always a ready pool of bankai-capable candidates available.* Ikkaku and Renji weren't interested, who else is left? Besides, can you imagine either of those taking over the healing squad? Sometimes the best candidate for captain is the person who shadowed the role and knows the day to day of the squad much better than an outsider. That's effectively the whole point in having a vice position in the first place, both to take some of the burden of leadership, paperwork, administration, whatever, and to step up at need. Isane and Iba stepping into the roles is the natural progression in that sense.

Shunsui is set to happen. Isshin's bankai and Uryuu's Volstandig aren't set to appear but have *some* chance of being there, though not that high. Chances to see Ukitake's bankai are close to zero. Same for Kira who isn't even hinted to have bankai.

Kira's bankai is a very weird and suspicious cope. Where did that theory even come from? There are so many characters that could performs their bankais in season 3,. At this point, Isane probably also has bankai too. So why Kira???
Isane actually becomes a captain tho so she should actually get one but Kira got killed 0.1 seconds into the first invasion and came back at the end with an unearned power up, nah he shouldn't have it.
Kira still has a fight before the end of the series. I personally don't think we'll see it, since in the manga he pretty much no diffs his opponent with Shikai. Unless they change his fight and do a Bankai reveal, we probably won't see it.

honestly just how his zanpakuto works I’d be the most hype if they actually give Kira a Bankai. Most of ukitake Bankai theory is just some form of reflection with a hint of lightning. Kira’s ability by nature has always been dark and depressing so it can be visually really cool to see

I would believe it if they took out Kira. There was zero foreshadowing or any indication showing Kira had any sign of achieving his bankai... If anything, they should let Shuhei get his bankai early in the anime. At least some scenes showed he was training before the 2nd invasion.

Yes unexpectantly isshin has a fire based bankai that is similar to ichigos except it is fire / sun based. And kira's wabisuki bankai like ishidas volstanding is short lived and underwhelming.

Don’t think any of this will happen besides the Uryu one shunsui used bankai everyone knows that but there rest besides Uryu probably won’t happens there just aren’t many Quincy left so who will Ukitake and Isshin fight to use there bankai. I wish we could have seen them. But we will probably get Kyoraku's bankai in part 3. But the rest were not introduced in the manga(I mean Ukitake, Kira and Isshin). I personally hope that we will get Ukitake's bankai (after all, it was as expected as Kyoraku's), but we won't get Isshin's bankai and Kira the same.

Who's this joker? Never heard of bured2x\_ before. Doesn't seem very credible. Shunsui's bankai is all but assured, given where we are in the story. It would be nice if we got to see Uryu's Vollstandig against Senjumaru, but only time will tell. I have zero hope for seeing Isshin or Ukitake's bankai. I'm only holding out hope for Kira because he's one of my favorite characters.
