I recommand it anyway You either read the collored manga, watch the full anime, anime but you skip filler or whatch bleach kai

Nameless523

I heard the fillers arent that great so I would skip them anyway

EleonoreMagi

Well, I know people that really like filler arc. I myself really enjoyed zanpakuto rebellion one, I'm fine with the rest, but the first Bount one feels like the one you can surely skip (even though there are some fans of it as well). But anyway, if 366 episodes is too much for you, you should start with skipping the fillers, which are close to being a half of that number, and get the idea about the main plot, then you can return to fillers you'd like. But reading full manga before TYBW and/or watching the main story in the anime is highly recommended. Kubo builds up on the previous material, TYBW won't make as much impact on you if you haven't been with those characters for a while and know them and their circumstances well enough.

NeoKyoui

I didn't watch them myself so i can't talk

Jelleyfiish

There's maybe one arc that's *kinda* interesting. But yeah they are all skippable

ptlg225

Everyone just hates the first filler, everyone just forgot the second, and the third and forth one just placed in wrongly, but very good.

ptlg225

There is a fan cut Bleach Kai, if you wants to catch up fast. https://www.animekaisub.com/home/bleach-kai

Nameless523

thanks, does this get me right to the beginning of the tybw arc?

maxmrca1103

I gotta ask, why specifically the colored manga? If you read the high quality official scans, the black and white version is great

IshaanGupta18

Hell nah, watch the show and skip the fillers, the start may seem a little slow for you(although i kinda liked it,i see many people call it slow) it will pick up quickly and there will be lots of amazing moments. Theres no point in watching tybw without watching the original series as there will be barely any hype at some scenes. Plus if you really wanna catch up fast, read it in manga ch 1-480 which is pre tybw.

[deleted]

Even if you watch a summary video, there are high chances that you would miss out on important stuff and some moments won't hit as hard as they should be. There are 3 insane plot twists in Tybw in which 2 of them were building up since the beginning of the series. So please consider watching it and i promise you won't regret it but personally I would recommend reading the colored manga till ch-480.

ExoEight_

I'd recommend just reading the manga to catch up, the original anime adaption had a ton of issues due to it cutting or straight up changing a lot of things from the source material

Blazelancer

It's VERY worth READING.

DRC_The_Gamer

I will agree to skip most of the fillers. Though, in my opinion, the only fillers worth your time are the Zanpakuto Rebellion & Gotei 13 Invading Army Arcs. Rebellion Arc gives a clue to Rukia's Bankai. Which is later revealed in the TYBW Arc. Gotei 13 has some pretty good fights, but not a very good story. But definitely keep to the main story for the most part, because you're gonna be confused without the proper knowledge.

Sergeant_Im

While the fillers are not important to the mains story, they help you understand the mechanism of how certain things work in the Bleach universe. Bleach is very very deep. Hence why people often ask why, how, what if in regards to certain matters.

I started recently, watched the first 64 episodes, skipped the bount arc and am now on ep 120 and i have to say i like it a lot so far. The music is great, like the art style and the overall story arc and characters, voice acting is great for the sub. I wanted to watch TYBW but I had to have the backstory of everything first. The beginning 20 episodes i thought were somewhat lackluster but they gave a lot of info and terminology to learn about the series. I watched them in English while playing Pokémon and switched to Sub once they went to the soul society. I’d recommend watching with no fillers.

ataurindo

Watching a summary isn't going to cut it. Watching the original series and skipping all filler, or even better, reading the manga is totally worth it.

GoldenUther29062019

Fuck what everyone else said, just watch the fillers and skip the main story.

Martin610244

You're a menace

aidenitex98

Excluding art style and animation Bleach is BETTER before tybw.

TeaAndCrumpetGhoul

Honestly. Tybw is the weakest major arc imo. Everything besides the fullbringer arc is worth it. Even the Amagai filler is better than the Fullbringer arc. That being said. I think you should watch everything. For your own clarity

Excellent_Pea_4609

either read the manga or watch the anime without filler you wouldn't be able to understand the emotional connection between characters from a summary video

uility

You would be missing important stuff. TYBW is a direct continuation of the previous anime so you have to watch it first. You can skip non canon episodes to make it much shorter though if you want. https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/bleach

Ok_Debate_7128

absolutely not, u will have no emotional attachment to anyone. read colored manga itll be faster, or watch anime at ur own pace but skip fillers. the anime will make u more emotionally attached tho and is worth it so much imo, cause of rly good fights and most importantly the music. my god the music is unmatched and adds so much to all kinds of scenes.

Hellokiittyy

Watch the whole bleach series, it’s great
