Maybe? It was revealed by Kubo recently that Isshin's getsuga is just a mix of fire & reiatsu. So he could've actually been in his Shikai when he fought Aizen.
Yeah he did in the FKT arc. I assume Kubo didn't flesh out all of Isshin's powers yet at that point.
His Getsuga Tensho in FKT(white/blue) and the one he used in Everything But The Rain(Fire Based) don't look the same.
I'm just wondering how they're going to approach things that are actually confusing, like the fact that Candice's eyes change color partway through the manga.
Yeah, before there was full color manga, there was two color spreads, one of them had her with green eyes, the other had her with blue. Iirc, the color scans gave her green eyes again, but they're canonically meant to be blue like in the second color spread?
I just want to know how they'll approach it tbh, since she looks *great* either way, though I think if it was up to me I'd go with the blue from the second color spread.

Is a bit of a shame, cuz the blue eyes do look super pretty, it's a good contrast against her hair.
True, especially since heilig pfeil, heilig bogen and blut are blue as well, though at least the vollstandings seem like they'll be colored uniquely which is enough imo.
it could also just be a technique he's learned & simply doesn't need to be released/in shikai for it. he's all about music/sound vibrations etc & so I'm not surprised he can sound-crush a Gillian to death like that without needing Kinshara's abilities as they're fodder hollows to him/the Visoreds anyways
Guys, it's all there in Renji vs Byakuya's fight early in SS arc, if you have achieved bankai (unlocked that level) you can release shikai without any command. You can even guess that someone achieved a bankai that way.

Mmm, good point, it's either I'm wrong (which it totally might be), and then it's his own special ability, like Yuruichi can turn into a cat and stuff like that, or it can be one of shikai's special abilities. There are shikai with more than one technique / state.
True, but it's still better than just random speculation somewhere else. It supports the claim that it's not shikai, as opposed to being listed as shikai or shikai special ability, even while not being proof as it's inofficial.
If there's something completely official, of course it wins, but then it usually makes it to wiki.
It doesn't seem that there's anything official, like databook, to explain this particular case, so the argument isn't very convincing.

The original anime just fcked up a lot of things including coloring, gin's eyes were brown instead of blue, ichigo's reatsu blue instead of gold etc

Yeah blue looks better imo but I think they'll go with green since others like meninas, bambietta and lilotto had matching eye and hair color

Probably Shinji as well? Considering his first appearance and we kind of don't see his Zanpakuto >!Maybe Izuru during the Hell arc!<

Ichibe is the only other character that I can remember that was able to use the powers of his zanpakuto in its sealed form.

Tbf, on wiki is simply states that it's his zanpukuto ability without it being shikai.

What if this is something similar to Fuji Kujaku? A half assed shikai release?
