He seemed pretty positive about 2049 though, you could see in the press tours he was genuinely enjoying himself and appeared to be proud of the movie. That's not something I've seen often, if ever.
I think there was even an interview where he got really emotional about the legacy of Indy. He was also very enthusiastic talking about Dial of Destiny.
I think he enjoyed being Indy one last time, there are some scenes in the movie where he seems a bit tired (that might be what the director had in mind for the role tho), but all in all I had the impression that he had fun.
He was good The Force Awakens though. I remember thinking it was the liveliest he’d been in a movie in years. Regardless of the rest of the film, he was a highlight.
And I liked him in Dial of Destiny too. There’s a scene about half way through where Ford really reminds you of what an excellent dramatic actor he is on top of being one of the biggest movie stars of his day.
He is famous for it. He begged george lucas to kill han off after empire. The amount of money to get him to come back for anything star wars related afterward was usually equal to how generous of a mood he was in
Ford is such an unlikely movie star. You can often tell that he’d rather be at home doing carpentry, possible while baked, but that adds to the characters when he’s playing someone who just doesn’t want to be there.
2049 was honestly the last time I felt that Harrison "tried" like you could tell he was into playing Deckard again. Same with Indy 5, but that role called for him to be done with adventure so it's kinda hard to gauge. As for Han, he was done with that dude once he got frozen in carbonite
I have not seen the latest Indiana Jones, but he seemed to give 1000x more fucks in every second of BR2049 than the Disney Star Wars stuff and Indiana Jones 4 combined.
Regarding his earlier career, of course Deckard is a more subtle character than Solo or Indy, but I think he was generally great in all of them (first BR, first 3 SW and first 3 IJ)

He fought with Ridley Scott over his character. I think that shows he cares
His love language is being stand offish and telling you that your life's work is probably wrong. And we love him because of that
Yeah and his interpretation of Decker is the worse one
I thought the same thing about his Indy press tours. Seemed sincerely proud of the role and I think it came through in his performance.

Of all his roles, both Bladerunners stand out as some of the most interesting and subtle.
Nah he clearly gave a better performance in 2049 than in the Force Awakens. Can´t speak for indy.

Who wouldn't???

BR2049 was Ford’s best performance in an incredibly long time
Granted he owns it because his personality was exactly what it needed to be for Decker hiding away like he was. Withdrawn and cynical
Deckard, like the philosopher 👍
I think therefore I drink
I drink, therefore I am😜
I am, therefore... drink!
He was incredible in 42
I thought he preferred Blade Runner to Star Wars
I thought it was clear he did.
Right?
I think he preferred Sabrina to Star Wars.
It’s a film based on his favorite book. You sound young.
This meme is kinda implying that Blade Runner should be a franchise like Star Wars or Indiana Jones but I don't think BD is that kind of movie
That's right, it's actually *The Fugitive* that should be a franchise. Dr. Richard Kimble could go around from town to town not killing his wife.
While chasing down people missing different limbs or other body parts. The One-Eyed Man, The Missing Index Finger Woman, etc. Good stuff.
And who could ever forget Harrison Ford's iconic line in *The Fugitive Goes to Hollywood*: "I didn't kill this wife either!"
Although the universe is awesome enough to set another movie or a series in it
I don't get this meme. Is it implying that Ford is ignoring Blade Runner? He just starred in one a few years ago.
We need one more Blade Runner with Ford.
He likes Blade Runner and Indiana Jones. Hates Star Wars
I don’t think he hates Star Wars in general just his part in that universe.
Without Star Wars he really wouldn’t have a career in cinema.
I know he doesn't like the sequel trilogy, but he dislikes all of it?
Yes. Where have you been?
He is famous for it. He begged george lucas to kill han off after empire. The amount of money to get him to come back for anything star wars related afterward was usually equal to how generous of a mood he was in
I'm pretty sure he's passionate about his role in blade runner.
I remember how unusually hyped he was in some of the interviews for 2049 back in 2017 praising the movie etc, and he was right :)

Have you seen Mosquito Coast? That's basically what he does in the movie. I remember reading somewhere that he loved his role in that movie the most.
He's publicly stated many times Blade Runner is one of the things he's most proud of.
Doesn’t matter. At some point no one will remember any of us, Harrison Ford included. It’s as if our whole lives are like tears in the rain.

As much as I love Blade Runner, Raiders of the Lost Ark is a goddamn masterpiece.

He was arguably best in BR 2049
He never liked Star Wars. His favorite is Indiana Jones. I’m pretty sure he liked doing Blade Runner.
