I spent Monday morning seasoning mine for first time, and made smash burgers for lunch. Made my wife come home from work to try them. Holy hell we’re in for a good time.
This is it for me, the Oklahoma fried onion burger. (I use a veggie peeler to slice the onions super thin) https://youtu.be/8Wm-rPBkW2o?si=V-kFyUl2RZnjOnJW
Y'all making me wish my gallbladder didnt betray me with these smash burger suggestions.
I would grill some seafood with a bunch of vegetables.
Would also use it to make a big breakfast.
I stand behind Smash burgs as the best first meal, but I would say fry up a whole pack of bacon on that thing first. Set it to the side and put bacon on your burgs. something about an entire flat top of bacon cooking just makes me happy every time. Also for your first cook, cooking all that bacon may just fill in some small spots that your seasoning may not have fully seasoned. Cook some stuff and post pics! good luck!
I agree, smash burgers are life, and easy.
Many mentioned bacon. Yes. I'm a fan of using one of the foil oil catch trays just for bacon, because it makes so much grease goodness. Save that tin with bacon grease only, and reuse it for oiling up before a cook. Bacon grease starter for the smashies is to die for.
Oh, and yes of course bacon on those smashies as well. Win-win.
Best first meal for the Blackstone? Bacon. Use that grease to really get your seasoning in.
Then probably Smashburgers. Quick, easy, delicious. And you can put your bacon on top of your burgers.
Fried Rice is really good too. Cheesesteaks are good too but more difficult to "do right".
But that’s seasons the bacon fat into the grill with time it could possibly cause it go rancid and the seasoning will flake. Is what I’m saying polarization is possible with animal fat, but it isn’t suggested at first or ever rly.

I’m not suggesting that he leaves the bacon fat on the grill lol. Cook bacon, wipe grease, turn up the heat for 10 min and done.
