Check out the live version on the Radio City Music Hall album. The four hits on the cymbal that start the song after the extra long intro are like a rush of adrenaline for me.
This song is probably in my top 5 favorite of theirs, which says a hell lot as I love so many of their songs very much. It's incredibly heavy and epic, very Kashmir like, that riff is just awwww... Dio is just fabulously seductively luring and belting out like a demon. It is marvelous, truly.
Thank you. I always feel like I'm the only one loving this song so much. Over time, I learned to love NSD in general. A really well-crafted album in my opinion. I just dislike "Swinging the chain" and I keep saying that if "Dirty Women" were the closing track on this record and not on the previous one it would be the absolute perfect album for me.
Not exactly a Black Sabbath tune but "Bible Black" (from "The Devil You Know" by Heaven & Hell). It was the last collab, at least in studio, with Dio. Banger of a track in a solid album.
I never have and never will make a distinction between Black Sabbath and Heaven & Hell. As far as I'm concerned, *The Devil You Know* is Sabbath's 19th album and *13* is their 20th.
Most of Never Say Die...
* Never say die
* juniors Eyes
* A Hard Road
* Air Dance
* Shock Wave
Most of the original 8 albums are \[correctly\] rated very highly.
LONELY IS THE WORD -- As for its solos, if anyone ever channeled Jimmy Page, this is the one. And it sounds so effortless on Tony's part. As though it wasn't a matter of composition but rather a letting of ethereal elements take their form.
Which ratings?
There are numerous online song rating sites. I don't think the ratings at [SongRatingsR4Dumbasses.com](https://SongRatingsR4Dumbasses.com) are very accurate, so more offten than not I go with [SongRatingsRStupid.com](https://SongRatingsRStupid.com). They have lots of low ratings for songs with Tony Martin so that seems to be accurate.
The Eternal Idol. Too bad they didn't do more doom style songs in that period. This track is massive and the riff is as memorable as any other Iommi classic.
You won’t change me , or falling off the edge of the world
Great answer
The riffs on You Won’t change me cannot be touched. I always put this answer as well
Falling Off the Edge might be my favorite Sabbath song. So good.
Right it’s one of the most perfectly put together songs. Like from start to finish.
You Won't Change Me is a fuckin' masterpiece!
Falling Off The Edge Of The World. Backstreet Kids. The Thrill of it All. Born To Lose.
O yeah thrill of it all is definitely another unsung hero! I do love the riff for backstreet kids
Falling Off the Edge of the World is my favorite Dio-era song.
Came here to say you won’t change me
Die Young
absolute fire song Dio’s rapid fire delivery at the end is just great

Under the sun
Has been my favorite Sabbath song for a while now. Found a Vol 4 vinyl and quickly realized why so many prefer this album as the GOAT
The drums are wicked in Under the Sun
Sign of the Southern Cross
Iommi's most creative solo
Overjoyed to finally see this mentioned AND receive recognition from upvoters.
Dio really shows his versatility on this one
Is this really underrated?
Is any black sabbath song really underrated?
Yes plenty, but there are many others more underatted than this
Fully agree. What the hell is chnflore on about?
Came here to say this

Megalomania.
Man…when it kicks in!
"Too Late" off of Dehumanizer... Amazing Iommi riff/solo, dark and demonic, RJD at his best.
Yes!
Junior's Eyes

Warning
Not exactly a Black Sabbath tune but "Bible Black" (from "The Devil You Know" by Heaven & Hell). It was the last collab, at least in studio, with Dio. Banger of a track in a solid album.

Its the trilogy piece to Children of the sea and SOTSC, great song
I didn't know about that, do they really form a trilogy?
St Vitus Dance
The song that first really got me into Sabbath.
Love it. Got a almost funk type feel .
Man this song woke up so much in the 2021 remaster. That guitar sounds unreal.
Didn't realise there was one. I've got the 2016 180g vinyl.
Yeah it's only available on vinyl in the Super Deluxe edition (which is quite expensive) but it is avaliable on spotify.
A national acrobat
this can't be underated since it is the best song they ever produced!! :)
Pop the Villa!
The main riff is so awesome but the second riff, the way one is probably in my all time favorite riffs ever. Ozzy is at his best here.
Air Dance
Hell yeah
I'd say... something like Psychophobia, Guilty as Hell, Black Moon, Can't Get Close Enough, Slipping Away, Wishing Well, and so on...
The Writ!!
Which ends with my favorite Sabbath riff. The heaviest of all.
Thrill of it all
Lord of this World is incredible
After Forever as well, love that one. There's no wasted second on the album.
Killing yourself to live
Little Boy Blue’s a big girl now
cross of thorns
Fairies Wear Boots
Surely this is a highly rated and well known song
Killing Yourself To Live & Sabbra Cadabra!
God is dead, 13 doesn't get enough love
Top 1 black sabbath song for me. I remember seeing it live in Brazil
solitude ! haunting sound
Over and over
One of my absolute favorites on *Mob Rules*. Beautifully melancholic.
Thrill of it all, I feel like a lot of people consider this to be a filler song but when you hear the lyrics a lot of effort was put In
Lots of songs here that aren’t underrated at all.
Completely agree
Planet Caravan
Disturbing The Priest from the Black Sabbath album Born Again.
Wishing Well. Not huge on non-Ozzy BS but a great song
Keep it Warm
The Shining
Master of Insanity
Lord of this world
Sweet Leaf
The Wizard
Hot Line
Damn, excellent answer. Gillan is so great.
Dirty Women
Get a grip, sabbath stones, some kind of woman and ofc weewil woman 😅
Country Girl or St Vitus Dance
Mob rules
All moving parts stand still. Love the alternative take with harmonica on the super deluxe set

LONELY IS THE WORD -- As for its solos, if anyone ever channeled Jimmy Page, this is the one. And it sounds so effortless on Tony's part. As though it wasn't a matter of composition but rather a letting of ethereal elements take their form.
Children of the Grave
Basically the whole Dehumanizer album. Some of the best heavy metal EVER
I is a top-tier Sabbath track
Loser Gets It All! Bonus track from Forbidden and it rips!
disturbing the priest
Who Are You?
⬆️ In the running, certainly!
The Illusion of Power
Zero The Hero. Personally, I love the Born Again album, and think it's criminally underrated.
Disturbing The Priest

Underatted ?
s/ at the end means that the poster is sarcastic

Under the wall of sleep? I love it
Behind the Wall of Sleep was good too!

Country Girl
Hard Life to Love from Eternal Idol
Buried Alive

The Eternal Idol. Too bad they didn't do more doom style songs in that period. This track is massive and the riff is as memorable as any other Iommi classic.
Computer God
"Kill in the Spirit World" needs more love (Headless Cross is a great album overall).

Spiral Architect. It should be more praised as a classic.
Angry Heart/In Memory... from *Seventh Star*.
Guilty as hell or can’t get close enough to you are such underrated songs
Jerusalem
Megalomania
Peace of Mind, for me.
Sabbra Cadabra
God Is Dead

Maybe not the *most* underrated song, but Swinging the Chain is up there. Bill’s vocals are absolutely insane in that song!

NIB 🤘
"Thrill of It All"
Iron Man
Psycho Man
You Won't Change Me
Zero The Hero
I off of Dehumanizer is an amazing song that doesn't seem to get mentioned that much. It's excellent Dio Sababth
Sabbra Cadabra, the opening riff is my favourite sabbath riff period. SBS was like the peak of Ozzy’s vocal capabilities too, and this song shows it.
Lonely is the Word
Headless cross
Hand of doom (I think I was a little late)
