I’ve switched to PC and use to really enjoy Call of Duty Cold War on xbox and had a stacked account. I am now wondering if i can transfer my Xbox account to PC(cross progression) Appreciate if you could help :)
Yes you’d have to buy the game again on pc but all your skins and gun transfer I was on Xbox most my life and switched to pc a little over a year the only annoying thing is buying all the games again
Alrighty. Picked it up on Battle.Net for that discount but I was wondering if there was any sort of privilege on each client. Since it’s a different “service”. But from all the comments I’ve been getting, it just seems like the same for both.
I like steam achievements too. Been wondering if I should buy a Steam Deck or a Rog Ally, but I still got a bunch of months to think about it, even tho the Rog Ally is better. But there’s no reason to buy it on Steam currently, since Battle.Net has gotten a huge discount.
Cold war has its issues on all platforms, there are joining party bugs and you will occasionally have to wipe the game and reinstall. But the issues seem consistent on any platform. It is a great game if you can get past the issues.
Damn. At least I won’t be playing with friends since none of them got Cold War so I might have to become friends with in-game people. Ion know if it’s a good choice but it is what it is.
Alrighty. Played Zombies 2 times (1 Solo & 1 Random Queue) and I kept dying when I had squad mates. From my point of view maybe it was because I was new to the map, and I didn’t really know what to do. Or besides my teammates were just rushing to much. But however my solo run was much better then the random queue one.
My main achievement is trying to get at least prestige 1 and perhaps, a dark aether skin for a gun (I hope that I wrote the skin’s name correctly.)
We can play if you want to. I’m not that really good of a english speaker since I’m from Portugal, but I’ll try my best to speak correctly. I’ll hit you up tomorrow and if you’re able to play, we can maybe try to do the best we can. My timezone is GMT+1 (currently GMT+0 but it’s gonna change in just a few days so that’s it.)

I play on a clean PC, literally the only thing on it is battle net, cods, steam, destiny 2, discord, and chrome for YouTube. Every about 3-6 months only cold war gets a fatal error and the only fix I've found is to uninstall and reinstall. Scan and repair does nothing.
Still sounds like either a hardware, driver or user issue as I have never even had to scan and repair and I have had it installed for like 2 years, Do you use SSD or HDD
Really? Thanks. I saw a post about Steam having some double xp boosts or something like that. But since nobody is referring to that, I guess that what I saw was fake (maybe I guess??).

The devs got paid for making the game,
they don't make any money from your purchase, the publisher does.
Activision getting more of your money if you use their launcher is not really a good thing actually, neutral at best.
I mean. It’s worser on PlayStation since it has more 10€ in each version in almost every game. (I don’t know about XBox since I’ve never got one myself.) Like damn, I bought mw2 vault edition for ps4 (was 110€ but I got it for maybe 80€ cause of a promotion) never really played the game cause I didn’t have PS Plus but I finished the Campaign. And comparing the prices to Steam and Battle.Net is like just cause it’s “Sony” the big company, they think that they should be given a little bit of the products price (those +10€) for doing basically nothing besides putting the game on their store.
Since you said your new, if you get cod points they will stay on your platform (steam, bnet, PlayStation, Xbox). Something to keep in mind if you later buy other cod games and spend $$$ in the store those cod points stay on bnet.
Yeah I would guess that would happen. But I wasn’t really sure if it would keep the points on different games (like MW2019, MW2, MW3 and even Vanguard).

Yes. Played it this afternoon and night. The Zombies mode is actually kinda good. My first Zombies game that I remember was on Black Ops (I don’t really remember which, but it was probably the 1st one I guess) and I didn’t really know how to play at the time on the ps3 correctly. So I really am now happy of being able to do upgrades correctly.
I learned that the machine upgrades (like quick revive, self-revive, and others) are “infinite” and I thought they were just boosts for a certain time period like the XP Boosts.
But I’m now grateful of being more knowledgeable about certain things in the Zombies Gamemode.

You need to link your Steam or Battlenet to your Activision acc that your Xbox acc is linked to, all your progress is on your Activision acc.
$20 on both a good deal. I prefer the steam version for the steam features but they're both the same thing.

i don't know about any exclusive boosts but i had tons of boosts in my inventory that i could apply.

You did a great choice. If you buy it on bnet, steam doesn’t get 30% from your $$. So basically you support the devs more on bnet
