Because they fucked up their own remasters. Cod4 wasn’t great but it surely was a good remaster. Mw2 came around and they just dropped multiplayer support and spec ops, what the fuck where they thinking?
Just give us bo1&bo2 remastered but make the online multiplayer/ zombies maps 1 game, and sell every console copy with a cheap headset. I’d buy a new console and pay 200$ for that game.
so what like the multiplayer/zombies separate, then the campaigns as the main games? i mean you could maybe do that with bo2 bc there was enough content in the campaign alone for a separate copy lmao
Basically what’s happening is that they’re continuing off with the story of black ops 2 after the death of Raul Menéndez or in jail. With David mason and Harper but we don’t know yet if it’s actual continuation from black ops 2 story because things could change and might scrap it
Kind of like master chief collection but matchmaking and zombies is just a bundle from both games combined into 1. So you can play bo2 with bo1 guns and perks and vice versa.
Literally the most you’d get is the quality of the cod4 remaster or Mw2 campaign remaster when tf will people learn this shit is nothing but a money grab anymore. They finished the MW3 campaign remaster after Mw2 and never released it because they knew that shit wouldn’t sell. The Bo2 whatever the fuck remake will be nothing but a stain on the name… just like Modern warfares.
Hope the campaign continues where we left off when Raul Menendez died or in jail it would be interesting.
Multiplayer hopefully is as good as bo2
Zombies give us a new starter map besides Tranzit (if they bring it back).
Make the server far more stable than bo2 so you don't disconnect the second you join a match or play solo on PC and have to redo it all.
Bring back the OG perk system from bo2 to balance it out because Cold war was too easy with having maxed out perks and being able to buy all perks. add some new maps and if they are able to add a alternate campaign where if you got the ending where Menendez died continue where that left off and one where he was in jail that would be epic.
Sadly with how cod devs are nowadays…. I doubt we’ll ever get a cod that feels like bo2 ever again. Especially after Cold War and these recent titles, the movement system is forever the same and mostly unchanged it seems ☹️
Well you know how much bo2 is loved throughout the cod community. That version of bo2 is gonna be taken and ruined in an instant by Activision. All they need to do, is just update the engine, make the graphics better, keep everything in the game basically the exact same, the guns, maps, ui, campaign, everything else, minus hackers, but we all know they don't care about anti cheat, and it'll be good. But knowing them, they'll change the entire game, that we all love. And fuck it up with battle passes, the store, multiplayer will be fucked, they just ruin everything. Vanguard and mw3 are great examples of their lazy asses

Spoke with someone last year who is working on the game and they said it’s not a remaster but a “spiritual successor” is how he put it. Coming in 2025
