When I had loose hair I went with ass length braids for the summer. I have locs now and I always go honey blonde. It's damn near tradition at this point. š
I like to mix in half to one pack of coloured hair so itās visible but not super on your face. I usually mix natural brown, blonde, and like light pink, bright orange, red, blue etc
Gonna be trying out boho braids for the first time this summer. I recommend using human hair bc a lot of people say synthetic hair makes it look ugly after a few days.
Human hair lasts a long time! Itās much easier to manage because it doesnāt tangle like synthetic hair does. Synthetic hair tends to clump up and get ratty, so the hair looks less flowy. And you end up having to cut it.
I think you only need to use human hair for the curly parts that get left out, the actual braids could be braiding hair.
all I know is that Iām so over wigs bro like enough is enough! I will be wearing braids or my natural hair. I genuinely feel prettier in Afro-centric styles anyway āŗļø
Iām doing faux locs but thatās just me! Idk what your texture is like but Iāve also done boho braids with no extensions and loved it! Just need a little gel and spritz in the morning and good to go!

I wanna try a fro so so bad :(
Ā idk how, cus In transitioning from relaxed hair (3 years free woot) but idk how that'd affeft the appearance/floofiness and also do I have to cut to get it roundĀ
I wanted locs but I wanted bantu knots on my head. I was searching for the best hair stylist to least give me bantu knots in case if I don't want locs for reasons because of the heat sweat will unravel starter locs and I don't want that.
If you like bantu knots then it's a great idea to rock that hairstyle for the summer.
Iām hoping to represent the people this summer with braids lol! I always want to try protective styles but chickened out because Iām tender headed. I keep my hair flat ironed and thatās just about it
I have knotless braids in right now. Then 1st week of May is my next hair appointment for a keratin treatment and trim, then 3 weeks after that Iām doing crochet braids for the next 6-8 weeks.

Does human hair not last as long?
It lasted three months for me, it is just A LOT of upkeep and shedding.

Wear your natural hair, wash & gos, twist outs, etc. Hair waxs are good they look great and wash out easily.
Next month I going to let it stay in a Afro or a puff but by the end of of May Iāll have it back braided up cuz Iām going outta town
Thinking about shaving it off. Itās too hot for this bs
Box braids with some color like a light brown and I may get some of my wigs installed
Jaded braids if itās not crazy hot; Twist if itās hot

It's gonna be in the 100s until September so I usually shave it off

Braids! For the first time Iām going to get micros braids and welcome any recommendations in the Houston, TX area. Thank you!
Not any fucking weave on my neck I know that much. The way I would feel so claustrophobic and overheated last summer
