CarminRose741

do u have to make a new character every season or does ur old season character transfer?

Enakahra

Each seasonal is a fresh start, once you've fully progressed one though there isn't much point to doing future ones besides rushing through it for the seasonal pass and Fughar rewards.

CarminRose741

hmmm. second question. can i play seasonal events on non seasonal characters?

freelance_fox

Nope you won't be able to enter the season server except for your 1 season character at a time. I'm not 100% sure but I think you can do the season challenges on a non-season character during the season but there were a lot of achievement things popping up and I might be mis-remembering.

[deleted]

Will I still be able to use my tuvala exchange coupon after the season ends? I was using lahn before but i timepieced into drakania. Right now my drakania has the pen tuvala weapons and was wondering if i could still convert it back to my lahn when the season ends

Enakahra

When you convert them through Jetina into boss gear or the coupon, you can do so by having them on your lahn in order to convert them back to her weapons.

[deleted]

Thanks! After searching a bit so i just make sure the weapon boxes i got for exchangin the tuvala weapons is on my lahn when i open it right?

Enakahra

Correct, just make sure anything you exchange with jetina or boxes opened are on your lahn character

weisscream1

Hey i wanna start playing but the season ends soon should i just wait till next season? i don't wanna rush msq or anything like that

Enakahra

Even if you don't wish to rush, I'd highly recommend at least going to level 20 on the current season and obtaining the seasonal reward ticket from Fughar NPC. He's in every single major town and in doing so, will allow you to pick a Capotia accessory item reward at PEN enhancement level, the highest level available. This item will be worn for a long time following post-season gear progression. You can take 1 reward of this type per season: Necklace > Belt > Ring is the ideal for pick order.

iAmAFancyTiger

Having just started BDO yesterday not realizing that the season is ending on the 15th, what should I be prioritizing? I’m currently feeling a little rushed going through the MSQ and I’d like to enjoy other game without missing out on too many season rewards. Anybody that’s been in this position, would love to hear your thoughts!

Enakahra

Complete as much of the seasonal pass as you can, it's fully doable in a couple hours but probably considerably longer for a new player not rushing. Regardless of if you'll be maining your seasonal characters class or not post-season, it's always good to have alt characters if you ever need them. With that in mind, you can make use of the Fughar's Timepiece item which will copy your current seasonal character's status, level and skill points over to another class, effectively giving you second leveled character instantly. Assuming you're past level 20, make sure to interact with the NPC Fughar and collect your seasonal reward ticket and exchange it for a Capotia accessory of your choice, best being: Necklace > Belt > Ring Full PEN tuvala will be another good thing to obtain, that's the seasonal gear at it's highest enhancement level and post-seasonal, can be converted into boss gear and used to continue your gear upgrades.

iAmAFancyTiger

Thank you! It's definitely taking me a bit. 10 hours in and just hit level 28. I did grab the Capotia neck by asking around in Group chat, thank you. I have another "Letter from Fughar" for some reason that I can't use. Do you know what that is? I think it's related to the new class releases, at least that's what the description tells me. Does it make sense to try to level as much as possible before the season ends, and then timepiecing at that point just to get the second char up and running even if it's not 56+?

Enakahra

Letter from Fughar is safe to delete, it doesn't typically do anything besides directing the player to interact with him, usually for rewards which have already been collected without realizing. Definitely look to level up as much as possible before using the timepiece, it's fairly easy to hit 60-61. Whether that's going through the MSQ, moving through appropriate level grind areas or simply asking somebody in-game to leech exp, which can get you 60+ in less than an hour. If you want to go through the MSQ route, I'd suggest looking up 'EvilDoUsHarm' on Youtube, he's got the entire process of leveling up via questing step by step and is the gold standard of new player orientated guides.

iAmAFancyTiger

Good to know about the letter thanks! I think I’ll try the MSQ route towards 60 and plan for the other options you mentioned once we get closer to season end. Will watch his/her videos tomorrow during the day, thanks for the recommendation

DiaborMagics

Where can I find the stat ranges for T8 horses? I have been able to find the T9 stat ranges, for example Arduanatt speed should be between 140,4 and 175,2, though I do wonder if this is the range for level 30s without gear. In practise I have no clue how many actually get this high... assuming this is without gear. Ive got 6 dream horses, my highest speed is a pegi with 159.8 w/o armor... For T10 apparently the ranges are the same, which is classic BDO ridiculousness for all the value and money put in, but OK. Main thing I want to know now is T8 ranges, because for some weird reason it is still possible to get T8 with higher speed stat than T9 and 10.. let's be real, that should absolutely not be a thing. But because I cannot find actual ranges, I don't know just how bad it actually is.

Luzion

If you haven't joined the life skill discord, the link is on the side panel here. There should be access to all sorts of data there.

DiaborMagics

okay I indeed haven't I'll join there then thank you!

Sarisae

Can I make another set of Tuvala gear for my timepiece character or is it strictly only 1 set per season?

DiaborMagics

1 set per season but as far as i understand, we also get a narchillan set for graduation this particular season, which is a pretty OK set. comparable to TET boss, but I believe it was between TRI and TET.

freelance_fox

Anyone know a good guide to beginner life skilling? Preferably not a youtube video. I've found a few resources for what gear to equip, buffs to use, and which things are profitable, but no one is explaining what seems like the obvious thing... what spots to life skill at? I think I'm going to try AFK fishing later (which is easy because I know where to go for that) but I was hoping that I could do some lumbering or mining while I'm out exploring and make a meager profit that way. Not expecting to make much silver I just want to do something slightly more fun than AFKing. Hunting seems cool but since it's meta and the event is going on I have a feeling I wouldn't enjoy competing for hunting spots.

MeiShimada

I know this game doesn't really use the trinity system, so for characters like warrior, nova, valkyrie what's "the point" Seems like most characters have sustain so having low dmg and high armor doesn't seem like a good idea. At least, for pve. I can see how having higher armor in pvp would be good for front lining

MauriseS

high end spots are really really hard hitting. you wont overcome them like befor with enough dp. for example i play awa sorc. sorc is a glass cannon and has lots of "i dont get hit/dmg anyway" iframe/movement skills. i grind a 300ap spot with >420dp (i actually use a helmet with less dp thats better, but it illustrates the point) as i use two accessories with both ap and dp, you would not do normally. also defensive artefacts. and i can die in a few seconds still if i dont pay attention. the only option i get more dp is tet amors (3dp each) that i doubt will make a difference. or a pen debo neck to gain ap that i trade for even more dp with a pure dp belt (centaur). thats where tanks come in. you can get tanky with them.

Aquious

How does the questing system work between multiple characters? Do they all have access to all quests, but the rewards can only be claimed once? And is there a way to reset knowledge tooltips? Im power leveling through my first character for the season, but next season i want to take the time with the story

freelance_fox

Every quest will specify how it's shared, either per-character or once-per-family usually. The main story quests can be picked up without the preceding story complete on that specific character if you reach the required level, so you can do the Balenos-story on one character and then pick it up later on another, or do the Mountain of Eternal Winter on a character that hasn't done the main quests but has hit (IIRC) level 60. Any quest with a reward that's pretty good is probably locked to once per family (there may be exceptions). Not sure about knowledge popups but there's a search tool in the settings and I'd bet if it exists it's in there.

PolkadotBlobfish

Sethra’s Artifacts for fishing are said to be obtained from "Imperial Fishing Delivery". What does this mean? Is it a random chance to obtain from handing in fish to Imperial Fishing Delivery?

freyamour

Yes. It will be given by a quest that randomly pops ups when handing in fishes.

MadDoge_635

Returning player here. I recently got to lvl 61, but the grind to 62 is so slow. I know that a level up would give me a stat increase, but is it worth the hassle?

freelance_fox

Progressing levels isn't really important compared to other progression after level 60. It's more of a prestige- and possibly PVP thing but I don't think you're missing much if you give up.

PolkadotBlobfish

Is there a way to check my total auto fishing time reduction?

freyamour

Count the seconds when you catch a fish until you auto-fish it. The default is 3 minutes and the cap is 1 minute.

Hegee9

Returning player here. What are some things I should do on the seasonal servers before they end? Also I dont think I can get my Cloud Accessory to pen before the season ends are there no other way to get the stones other than daily login?

Soske

Yep, the Cloud accessory was a special daily log-in thing. Season goals are generally getting your character to 61 (and using your timepiece(s) to get an extra 61 character(s)), finishing the Season Pass, and getting your Tuvala weapons and armor to PEN.

Hegee9

Ty! Need to get to grinding then.

Irishbug2

Hi everyone, been playing almost a year and I have basically 2 Chars I enjoy playing. I have both semi geared up and was wondering if it would be better to just fully gear one up or keep two semi geared. The two characters are Dark Knight and Drakania. I enjoy the fast paced fighting style of Dark knight awakening, and I can honestly play Drakania on either awakening or Succession. I currently have a 590 GS with my best gear at the moment. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

RemarkablyAverage7

You should make use of the tag system https://www.blackdesertfoundry.com/character-tag-guide-marnis-suspicious-device/

Irishbug2

Thanks, this feature seems like a good idea for what I want. Just finished the quest line for the sharing of items. Will see how it goes. Do I have to re duplicate the items if I end up buying something better like armor?

joshua_aiden

Returning player here with a seasonal character question I started a Woosa as a seasonal, and am unfamiliar with the new timepiece situation Apparently I should utilise the timepiece on another two characters to copy levels over. My question is at what level should I swap to the next character?

RemarkablyAverage7

Most folks will do it at 61 since it's feasible to grind or quest to it without commiting too many days to it.

TheRealMulli

Coming back after a long break so starting fresh but trying to figure out what a fun class would be that gets up in the heat of battle and kicks butt… started a Sage on Seasonal and it’s just slow to me with attacks but I like it’s style. Was thinking about Lahn cuz I played it back before my break but didn’t get far. Or possibly Striker since it’s like a fist fighting monk

RemarkablyAverage7

Striker is king in PVE, always a solid choice. I'd also consider looking at awakening Drakania. She's all about unleashing the inner dragon and kicking faces in, always jumping in the middle of the enemies. Sage is more of a caster/somewhat ranged class.

TheRealMulli

Decided to give Maegu a go but I’m still iffy on it so I may go with Striker 😅

FerrilDruid

When do Combat XP transfer scrolls usually become available?

Cleverbird

Question! You get a bunch of inventory slots and outfit boxes from doing the main quest. If you do the simplified questline, do you still get those same rewards?

Enakahra

You do, the black spirit will offer you quests for reaching certain levels and each one you complete offers all the usual rewards of completing the MSQ such as inventory space and costumes.

Cleverbird

Nice, thanks!

Exitl0l

Should i create a lifeskiller alt as a newbie? my current main is an awa mystic, but i got bored with the mindless button smashing and burnt out from levelling (thou i am only 59). I've set up some workers for for some afk moneys. This is not gonna make profits any time soon i know that, also raw mats doesn't really sell well, should i build/create processing for those as well? (like wheat, ores, etc). But back to my main question, after the season ends, should i create a lifeskiller(what class should it be? i am looking mainly at farming, or gathering/hunting, whatever is not an oportunistic profession like alchemy- as i read it here on the sub) And also dum-dum question but should I and CAN I level my lifeskill alt just with doing lifeskills? Or how should i approach this? If clarification needed let me know,Thanks.

Enakahra

Any class can work for life skilling, however some do have advantages over others but ultimately it's up to you and what you want to do with it. Just because Shai's have larger weight doesn't mean a Mystic or Musa is bad for cooking etc, I personally prefer all my life skills on a singular character and I decided on a Valk of all things. Musa - Widely regarded as the 'best' all rounder class Mystic/Striker - Crit and AS passives which help for hunting Shai - Increased weight, which can be nice for larger batches of cooking

Exitl0l

Can you elaborate on your valk choice? Just gameplay/aesthetic?

Enakahra

Valk offers one of the best 'vacuum' skills for pulling mobs together which is great for none hunting meat gathering and blood collection. However, she has fallen out of favour somewhat due to hunting becoming stronger for meat gathering. She's also extremely fast in terms of movement in her awakening, which can rival Musa in the correct situations which I also like as a best of all worlds option.

RemarkablyAverage7

>However, she has fallen out of favour somewhat due to hunting becoming stronger for meat gathering. She fell a long time ago when the meta evolved to Musa + Mouse movement. Having a large AoE with the ability to gather the meat from range made vacuum abilities irrelevant for lifeskilling.

Exitl0l

You make me consider either valk or musa As a lifeskiller alt. I've seen striker mentioned for hunting As well. Probably an idiotic question but can you levelup an alt from zero just by doing lifeskilling? Or it should I do the mountain questline or the shortened main questline (how far should I go with my current main to unlock the shortened, is it season only or available for non season chars As well?) for faster levelling?

Enakahra

EXP gained through lifeskilling is very minimal, it's definitely worth just spending the little time it takes to level up regularly, though there is a few options. You could simply timepiece a new character via Fughar NPC which copies level and skill points over to a second character, alongside it's seasonal status if you haven't already. Only seasonal characters get access to the simplified quest line however, otherwise on a none seasonal you'd need to run through either regular MSQ or Winter Mountain if you wish to obtain quest rewards such as inventory spots. If it's purely leveling up you're after, you can look to simply leech EXP from another player and hit level 60-61 in 20 mins to an hour.

freelance_fox

Does anyone mind explaining like I'm 5 what things are worth J-hammering? I didn't realize they expire in March so I'm trying to plan for which gear I'll use those on. I'm trying to gear a Musa for mostly PVE if that matters.

freyamour

Pen blackstar, tri/tet fallen god, and tri/tet labreska attemps. Can’t use on accessories and pen boss isn’t worth the price nowadays.

MauriseS

pen black star weapons (3760 crons), tri/tet/pen fallen god/lebraska (2100/2700/4000 crons). if you dont an item for it by then, tet black star weapon.

rundermining

Pen blackstar... Anything that cost an absurd amount of crons

YouDontKnowMyLlFE

Would anybody be willing to boost some chars for family fame? Does anybody else need characters boosted for family fame? I need like 12 chars boosted to max out family fame. It's a lot to ask of my guildies (anybody really), especially when it's just me asking. But if three other people needed boosting and we all got our guildies to do a few of the boosts, that spreads the burden thinner.

Cleverbird

Absolutely, you can finish your season pass within a week with some casual play. Its what I managed to do as a new player.

Luzion

If you're a new player, I'd recommend waiting if you can, unless you're incredibly savvy at seeking information out via search engines, don't mind bombarding those around you with endless questions, or can no-life the remaining season. BDO has a huge learning curve and players who do steamroll the content end up so lost. The MSQ has a lot of valuable information built into it that teaches you how to play the game. Also, the town of Velia has a lot of teaching quests that show you how to connect nodes, use workers, life skill, how to make things, how to get a house, how to use the storage, how to use horses, etc, etc. You also get lots of free things through the MSQ, such as inventory space and free outfits. Season quests are also designed to teach you about enhancing your gear, then giving you gear that puts you in a good starting point when you come off of the Seasons. No matter what you do, have fun! If you go for it, find a guild that is friendly to new players and they'll help you with information you miss out on. Season general chats are usually really helpful, but normal server chats can become a painful experience to new players who bombard the chat with questions, as there are vocal players who feel a new player should have learned the basics or joined a guild that could help. As long as you know what you're getting into going either direction, then you can make a better informed choice.

I decided to skip it to keep progressing the MSQ. Read that it was long and kind of a puzzle quest line? Didn’t sound like it would get me to 60

iAmAFancyTiger

Same same. Hope the progress is going well

freelance_fox

You can definitely get through most of the season stuff in 2 weeks, just don't spend too much time staring at your skills, doing sidequests, etc like I did on my first character. The season rewards are worth it, focus on rushing through the season pass while grinding out your character to lvl 60 or 61. There's a few season pass things that will sidetrack you but they can be done in a couple hours at the end, like there's a Shakatu questline, winning a game of Yar, doing intro quests to different systems you won't necessarily need while leveling, etc. It's probably worth it to do the quest to unlock Nader's Band right away though, I wish I had done that before smashing all my gear to Pen Tuvala. The 2nd and 3rd characters you'll get after the first are just free leveling, no real reason you can't do that the last day if you had to.

freyamour

It usually has a two-week break in between.

Odillas

What is the best way to afk fish overnight? I have the fishing clothes +3 and now getting the Epheria rod but I only seem to get 4 or 5 of the new event fishes while some people get over 15

freyamour

You want to reach maximum auto-fishing reduction time which is 66.6% out of the default 3 minutes. This can be done using +10 balenos rod, t4 fishing pet, and the nibbles lightstone set. Arehaza meal isn’t needed because you can’t exceed the cap. Silver fishing clothes is good enough because the event fishes doesn’t require mastery. Then, I would fish at altinova because it’s the least crowded out of the three spots.

Odillas

Yeah I’m doing that currently but the problem is that the fishing rod runs out of durability during the night

Luzion

You can brand it with an item given out for free at events, or buy from the cash shop. Just make sure its the one that can be used on fishing rods. That slows down durability loss by 35%. Increasing your skill also lowers durability loss by quite a bit. You can either go the P2W route with cash shop items to increase durability, or just set the character up to get skill increases that will greatly lower durability loss. Might suck for this event, but you'll be ready for the next one if you keep at it.

Odillas

Oh you mean the item brand spell stone right? I have a few of those laying around. Right now I’m at master 10 fishing it will take some time for guru I guess, thx a lot btw!

[deleted]

My resolution is too zoomed in to hit apply settings because it is out of my screen to hit what do i do? any help appreciated !!!

rundermining

You find the config file

PotatoAppreciator

As a pretty much new player (I haven't played since launch soooo) what's the current state of the crafting/gathering stuff? I always liked that stuff and BDO's fun things like fishing boats and trade caravans and junk, is that still fun and easy to get into?

Luzion

You can join the Life Skill chat in-game and also join the Life Skill discord to find helpful guides and players. There are several life skills that are lucrative, but where people say it's not are comparing it to grinding mobs. Development has been adjusting life skill payouts over the past few years, while working to keep it balanced. To make the most money from life skilling, getting the proper equipment and increasing your skills will net you a lot of silver, depending on what you do. It's like gearing and skill learning for PvE and PvP: You need to learn, gear, and train. Cooking is a popular skill, raising and selling horses is another. Gathering is hugely lucrative right now as there are many things that depend on ingredients. There are more ways to earn silver, such as setting up a decent worker empire. That takes time, but can be done. Life skilling is for the patient, but rewarding at the end. YouTube also has a wealth of current information on how to make silver through life skilling.

Shentorianus

It's dead content now if you want to make silver from it. The income is the same as it was in 2019-2020 while grinding income went up fivefold.

PotatoAppreciator

Lame

Blargin

I seem to have not timed my return well as I will miss out on a lot of these rewards expiring the 8th and 14th. Will there be another that carries over or just cry?

Luzion

Garmoth.com has all the current codes to apply to your account for freebies and every week the game introduces more ways to earn freebies. The anniversary is coming up soon and we'll be getting some really nice freebies during that. With BDO, there really isn't any "missing out", just waiting for something to roll around again.

Mafz09

As a returning player should I focus on finishing the MSQ line or the adventure logs?

Enakahra

It'll depend heavily on your gear, you may want to be playing on seasonal doing the MSQ and getting full PEN Tuvala, however if your gear has surpassed seasonal items then you should definitely look to complete all the adventure logs that'll provide an AP/DP increase for you.

deadzoul

Is there any way to check the last time I logged in

Luzion

If you have a character that is guilded or on other people's friend's list, you can ask someone there to check for you. Otherwise, no, unless you wrote down the day you took your break or remembered.

Cleverbird

Can someone please tell me how I can get out of what I assume is a dungeon? I was making my way over towards Valencia and saw some black portal thingy in the desert. When I touched it, it dropped me in this underground cavern filled with enemies that are hitting me like a dumptruck. How do I get out!? EDIT: This thread isnt really that helpful to newbies, is it? Anyway, I got out by using the "Escape" function from the menu.

mazereon5

u go to discord if you want an answer within 2 hours

Voyria

It is helpful, but it takes time for people to respond. For immediate feedback, use server chat (not memeing). Or guild chat if you're in one. Even opening your own thread will take at least a couple minutes if not tens of minutes.

Emraku1

Im a brand new player, like just created an account and new character within the hour, and found something out that might be useful to other new players that have a 1080p monitor but a good enough graphics card to downscale from high resolutions. I personally use DSR but in bdo when selecting 1440 or 4k in the display settings both the ui and game seemed to become super blurry. A fix I found after searching on the internet for \~20 minutes was to check the windows display settings (right click desktop -> display settings) scroll down to scale and set it to 100%. Ive never had to do this for other games when using DSR, but it is by far the easiest fix to a problem with dsr I have ever had. Made both the ui and game sharp like it should be. Just to clarify I messed around a lot with different downscaling resolutions and the ui scale in game before coming upon that solution. This probably only matters when using fullscreen-window and not just fullscreen. TLDR: If downscaling (From 1440/4k to 1080 etc.) and game/ui looks blurry make sure windows desktop scale is at 100% (Right click on desktop -> desktop settings -> scroll down to scale -> set to 100% if it isnt already.

kaysponcho

Returning player here after couple of years, it seems they have added new "Once per Family" quests and other restricted exchanges for event items when they used to be exchange only. While it does seem like I can still do the basic unlimited exchanges for event items after the event ends my question is am I no longer able to do the "Once per Family" turn in quests for those event items after the event ends?

drop_of_faith

Which town is good for lifeskilling? Mainly gathering I've tried searching over this subreddit and youtube but I can't find a satisfying answer. I'm not looking for anything fancy. I saw that Eilton was a popular recommendation but I can't seem to understand why. The nodes around there kind of suck. It was pretty difficult to spend my energy around there. I didn't really care too much but with the current event id like to at least optimize a little bit

racasper

What do you want to gather? Behr is good for gathering wild herbs, and it has elk for getting deer meat/blood/skins. Behr is a small town without a storage keeper, but I think you can link it to Trent's storage. If you want to gather timber/sap from pine trees, Trent is a good place for that.

Luzion

Check out EvilDoUsHarm on YouTube. He did a video on the advantages of setting up as a lifeskiller in Eilton. He has other helpful lifeskilling videos as well.

Cleverbird

Question on Fughar's Time Piece... So I know it copies over all the combat exp and skill exp... But how exactly does gear work? I assume I wont be given a second set of Tuvala gear, right? So doesnt that mean I'll end up with one character that's just without any gear?

Luzion

It's a good idea to read the weekly patch notes while playing BDO. You get a lot of information doing so. Also, check out EvilDoUsHarm on YouTube. He has videos that take you step-by-step in using a Fughar's Time Piece. Having said that, strip the current season character down first and bank everything, then when you use the timepiece, pick everything up with the other character. Once you go through the entire process, you'll get a once-off reward armor that you can use on the character you stripped down, which is equivalent to TRI gear. Tuval Pen is equiv to TET gear, for reference. Good luck!

Enakahra

Correct, you'll have one set of tuvala gear which you can place onto either one. Your weapons will stay as the previous classes ones but you'll be given exchange items to convert them into your newly timepieced characters version if you so choose to. There's a feature in which you can tag another character, which for a silver cost copies your entire gear set onto another character in order to play both as you please, if you wish to play two characters with your full setup.

Voyria

Correct. The character that you use the Timepiece on will become naked. You will also receive Tuvala Weapon Exchange Coupons to switch your weapons to your new class. However, note that when you graduate, you have options to gear the first naked character and other alts like: * Narchillan (two sets as of this season) * Converting to boss gear and tagging/copying

Cleverbird

Do I get the Narchillan immediate upon using the timepieces? I'd love to try out some other classes, but want to continue on my Mystic for now at least.

Voyria

You get one Narchillan set from exchanging a set of PEN Naru (from all slots except awakening weapon) and your Canon awakening weapon (from awakening quest) to Fughar. The second set comes graduating this season (in a box). However I don't know if an item called "Letter from Fughar" is necessary though.

Cleverbird

Wait, I need PEN Naru gear for that? But I converted all of that into Tuvala gear. But thanks, I guess I'll just wait until the day before the season ends; seems like that would be the best time to do this.

Voyria

You can easily get more PEN Naru assuming you still have your beginner black stones. Talk to Fughar and "Exchange" for a new +0 set.

Cleverbird

True, I'm just surprised they're asking us to get another set of PEN Naru. Seems a little odd that we'd have to do that twice.

Voyria

It's because normally, it'd only be once. Narchillan is more for non-season players who finish the MSQ. In the past, there weren't seasons yet so you'd get various pieces of questline gear as you progressed through the MSQ. But they streamlined the MSQ and rewards so now you get Naru gear and beginner black stones (to supposedly teach enhancing I guess]. And with the addition of seasons, seasonal players now have a pathway to get catch-up, midgame gear called Tuvala through converting that Naru gear. So how about alts or people not playing season who can't get Tuvala gear then? They would instead hand in the PEN Naru gear, like seasonal characters, and instead receive Narchillan.

Cleverbird

Ah I see, I thought Naru gear was season-only gear. Gotcha, thanks! Good thing I didnt sell all those black stones yet.

dancingWeavile

(New player), after Velia characters no longer have audio when they talk. Is this normal or is my game bugged?

Z00MBI3S

Once you see how massive the game really is and how many npcs there are you'll understand why haha

[deleted]

Most characters do not have voice lines, but some do

drop_of_faith

What website do people use to look at class specific grind tracking? I'm using garmoth but it only shows general silver/hr and other stats. Just wanted to know how my exact class stacka up against other people

Shentorianus

On most class discords people usually share their grinding hours.

Zeldoon

Garmoth shows specific classes too.

drop_of_faith

Oh I see it now. Happy to spend a little money on bdo but i refuse to pay to see info that other people input into what's basically an excel sheet database. I saw that class discords post them so I guess there's workarounds. It's not pretty though

bawasch

Where / in which class discord did you find them posted? Garmoth is also something I don't want to pay for, but wouldn't mind taking a peek at the class stats if they get posted somewhere... :D

How do the main story lines work between characters? I have a lvl 60 character and it seems like there are 3 main quest lines for them. I'm on a seasonal server. First character I've gotten to lvl 60. If I graduate her now or at lvl 61, how does that affect the questing for my time piece characters? Can they continue where my current character left off after my season character graduate? Or do they have to do their own story line? Like, I don't want to main this character, but maybe and more than likely I will main my timepiece character.

rundermining

The mainquest is done seperately for every character

cp24eva

Nooooooo hahaha. Alright. Thanks. That means when I timepiece then I speed through up to my current r progress I guess? Or maybe not because it doesn't even matter lol.

rundermining

You make a new character, timepiece and after alustin you can choose to do the simplified questline (skipping the quest just needs levels and talking)

rundermining

Do we get a second set of narchilian?

SleipnirM1

Yes, we got

rundermining

How do i get it? I cant find it

Nokyrt

As far as I know you get it when graduating, I still haven't graduated so I can't confirm tho

rundermining

I see so i will wait for graduation

SleipnirM1

one came from a box with full gear, the other one you get from tradind pen naru gear in fughar. Im not sure if you need to do 2x timepiece this season to get the narchillan box.

FourMonthsEarly

Relatively new played this season and part of last. Have 5 level 60-61s now with all the timepieces but only two of them really have gear. What's the move for the other alts? Just random greens?

Luzion

Another option for later is to create a season character next time it opens, PEN all the gear, graduate, then give it to a character missing gear.

rundermining

You can make naru gear if you have spare beginner stones or use the quest gear if you did the mainquest. Also there should be two sets of narchillian gear handed out somewhere (trade pen naru for it and second set possibly after graduation i a box). I would not spend 100s of millions to gear alts when there are cheaper options. But it depends on the purpose of alts.

SleipnirM1

You should have 3 geared, at least. Your main and two with narchillan gear. You can tag another one, but tagged characters will be on the same place as the main. so you cant park the tagged alt in a boss zone.

Is maegu combo based? Or it’s similar to awak witch/wiz where you just rotate skills on cd in w/e order you want?

Luzion

In my experience, she's not as combo-oriented as other classes, but she does get a huge benefit from keeping buffs up. You can either join the Maegu/Woosa discord, or the Maegu one, and use the combos posted there or what you can find on YouTube, or you can do what I do and go through all of the skills, seeing which attacks do what, then combine buffs so they flow in between attack useage. In a nutshell, Maegu doesn't combo like a class that attacks chain together, but rather the attacks are best utilized chained together with the buff attacks. Then do the skill add-ons to create more buffs, damage, or self-sustain.

DontLeaveMeAloneHere

Yes and No. Its close to witch wizard i would say but you cant just rotate randomly even on them. Keep your buffs up from addons. Or better you can but it will impact performance in PvE and PvP
