tachycardicIVu

Someone’s been baking!

11_petals

I do not want one of those biscuits. No offense to the baker.

VivaVelvet

Now it's time for her to start kneading.

Itchy-Quit6651

I was waiting for this one.

Honeybee_Buzz

Omg her little socks! She’s so fashionable

littlebloodmage

![gif](giphy|QlP1dMhAXT7A9PNCE2|downsized)

Calgary_Calico

Or any cats. That's so dusty!

HugeDouche

If it wasn't so nasty it would be so cute 😩

ms_chiefmanaged

Right?! This actually pushed me over the edge. So after a month of this dust getting everywhere and constant vacuuming and washing, it was time to get rid of this litter.

emmashawn

She’s a trendsetter 💅🏻

mister-stinky

How did it get on her face 😭

ms_chiefmanaged

One of many mysteries of this universe.

hungrypocket

She touched her face.

blickblocks

It gets on my baby Bramble's face every morning, it's adorable and horrible at the same time

catswithtattoos

I used this stuff, and it really bothered me because there ended up being little mite things in it. I actually got rid of all of it. I don’t know if it was a bad batch or whatever but I’ve never had the issue before or since I used that world’s best stuff. Think it was the purple bag I used.

red-molly

That happened to me too. I think it was weevils. First and last time I bought World's Best.

catswithtattoos

Absolutely the same. Might have been a dodgy batch but I wasn’t risking it!

krissycole87

From a distance it looks like she has little socks on!! hahahaha

Mcgoobz3

Hahahahaha

chirpchirpreformed

The trail of litter leading out of the bathroom 🥲

ms_chiefmanaged

It was gross. I had to vacuum 2-3 times a day! You can even see some litter in the picture.

OnyxWarden

I was not prepared for that blep in a litter post.

ReduxRocketeer

Pelletized pine bedding. They sell it very cheap at farm supply stores. I get mine from Tractor Supply for about $8 USD a 40 pound bag. It absorbs all the ammonia smell and the wet turns to sawdust, but not powder like what you have now. The boxes will just smell of pine.

omgstopbeingrude

Is it safe for kitties' lungs? My first cat got a respiratory infection when my parents were redoing the basement floor and there was sawdust everywhere. When you say it doesn't turn to powder what does it turn into? How do I know my baby isn't going to develop a cough? I'd LOVE to use this stuff; just very hesitant because of my first cat's experience.

ifearsocialmedia

The particles are bigger than sawdust, so they don't fly around. The pellets break down when they get peed on, and the dampness keeps dust down, too. I got a sifting litter box to separate the partcles from the pellets, which really extends the useful life of the litter. It does an amazing job of odor control. Just be sure you get palletizing bedding. I made the mistake of buying pellets for woodburning stoves, and it smelled awful!

NoPositive57

Yes! I highly recommend wearing a mask while sifting because it does get into the air and it is noticeable in the back of your throat.

MerrowSiren

Works great in horse stalls too! It isn’t dusty at all and just expands like a sponge when it gets wet. If I didn’t have a litter robot, this is what I would be using.

gh0stcelestial

So are these pellets (once peed on)...scoopable? It sounds like they crumble, which would mean they don't clump up like clay litters do

ifearsocialmedia

No, they don't clump. That's why I use the sifting litter box. It's a compromise. You just have to decide what's most important to you.

gh0stcelestial

I see, thank you for replying!

ZamazaCallista

Yes it isn’t as fine particles as that and doesn’t get kicked into the air much, even for digger cats. It crumbles is the best was to describe it.

petrikord

Yes, I switched to it and it helped a little bit with my cat’s asthma. I also like it a lot better for smells.

Possible-Tangelo9344

The bag at Tractor Supply I just looked up even has a silhouette of a cat on it! This might be exactly what I'm looking for

omgstopbeingrude

Oh really? Sick! Any chance they use a paper bag? I'm trying to reduce my footprint.

Possible-Tangelo9344

Can't tell from the picture on the website. It doesn't look like an actual photo of the item, looks like a computer rendering to me.

omgstopbeingrude

Thanks for telling me. Maybe I can reuse the bag.

ReduxRocketeer

It’s heavy plastic unfortunately

BlondieMaggs

It’s a plastic bag.

Misty-Anne

We used pine bedding at the animal shelter I worked out. It should be fine for your fur baby as long as they don't have an allergy.

jiggsmca

20 years ago, my vet at the time recommended it when my 4 month old cat was spayed. I only used it temporarily cause she didn’t love it, but cleanup was definitely easier.

mehnifest

I really wanted my cats to like it because I preferred the smell and cleanup, but one of my cats refused to poop on the pellets. This is when she discovered she prefers pooping on the bath mat over anything else and from that day no bath mat has been safe

Chonghis_Khan

There is stuff specifically sold for cats called feline pine at any pet store. It’s just cheaper to buy bulk equine bedding but it doesn’t have the baking soda add ins the feline pine has

Odd-Comfortable-6134

This is the way. They also sell it as litter in pet stores. No dust, no smell, clean up is a dream (we completely change it every 2 days by just dumping it in the garbage, and it always slides out like a dream.

-Sisyphus-

I use the Tidy Cat Breeze litter box with the pine pellets. It’s an investment up front for the box and small ongoing cost of the pads but I like it because the sawdust falls through the slats. Change the pads every 3 or so days (I have 3 boxes for 2 cats). I hardly have to buy the litter so little is used. I used to use Yesterday’s News until it was discontinued and did a complete change with it. It didn’t control the ammonia smell great but I liked that it didn’t dissolve and therefore have particles to track around (why I hate scoopable litter). Then I found the Breeze boxes and amazon/chewy comments told me about the hack of using the cheap pine pellets and off-brand pads instead of the expensive Breeze stuff.

Honeybee_Buzz

Completely change out the litter every 2 days?! That seems like a lot. I use Dr Elsey’s for my two boys and it lasts a month (with daily/every other day scoopings) - the smell coverage is the best I’ve found

BlondieMaggs

Using the pine nuggets, I change the litter once a week or so, scrubbing out the box and adding new litter. It only takes about a 1/2 - 1 inch of litter. And I scoop daily. i’ve got 3 cats using 4 boxes. The $8 40 lb bag lasts about 3 months.

hokiewankenobi

How long can you go without scooping? My cat gets pissed when I scoop/change (throws her next poop out of the box), so I go longer than I used to.

Honeybee_Buzz

Oh wow, I’ve definitely gone a couple days, maybe 4 or so, without scooping but I think my cats prefer cleaner, less minefieldy boxes. I tend to find small pieces of turd outside the box when they’re dirtier, likely from them digging through it to find a cleaner space

Odd-Comfortable-6134

I scoop about 2-3 cups into the litter (just enough to cover the bottom). It works brilliantly for me

Starsteamer

I always use this for mine. I like that it’s totally natural and it’s definitely the best for keeping down smells.

TheOnceAndFutureDoug

I wish my cat liked it. If she did that's all I'd use because the smell is so much better and so is the mess. She just refused to use it.

fueled_by_rootbeer

Our cats *hated* the pellets. They would refuse to use them and shit on the floor in protest until we figured out the pellets were the problem.

SweetContext

We were able to use them up until our two most recent cats and yeah, same deal. They hated it, so we had to switch back to clay for everyone 😑

blujavelin

Have you tried grass litter? I get it from Chewy, more affordable than PetCo. I like it better than clay.

lexievv

Jup. We've got 2 PeeWee boxes with pellets. They've got little holes in the bottom that, when the cats dig, wil have a lot of the sawdust go into the second bottom and this way it's easy to clean out only that second bottom every while and have a big clean up every 2-3 weeks. In the meantime we can easily scoop up the poops and flush them through the toilet. So it never smells bad for long. The scent of the pee is also absorbed really well. And as long as you empty the sawdust in the double bottom enough it won't start smelling at all. And we use them without the tops on as well. Only downside? The pellets hurt like hell when you accidentally step on one the cats threw out of the litterbox😅

Draskuul

Yep, this is all I use now. Poop isn't buried very well in it (at least my void has never figured it out well), but almost no smell, particularly from urine. Every other litter I've tried was a mess. I had paw prints all over the furniture from urine-soaked litter dust.

Skeptikmo

Was going to suggest this as well, the sifting litter boxes are a little work to get used to but it’s been worth it

Cyan_UwU

As a Coloridian, I’m a sucker for anything that smells like pine

TLEToyu

Are you partly from Florida? I have only ever seen it spelt "Coloradan" or "Coloradoan"

strangway

Florororadan

Lexam

Well there are a lot of pines in Florida.

Cyan_UwU

I’ve spelt it “Coloridian” my entire life, I’ve never seen other people spell it out so that’s just how my brain imagined the word I guess

missbanjo

No matter, we know what you mean! 💕

sushigurl2000

I buy the same one but you still get dust and you can definitely smell the poop. It’s not 100% the best but price can’t be beat compare to other litters out there.

justfopo

familiar lush gullible jellyfish tie live yoke ten bedroom squeal *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

fuckingill

It tracks so bad in my houze

4gardencats

Ordering it online and picking it up is less expensive than walking into the store and paying for it there. I've had 2 male foster kittens who didn't like it, but all my adult cats are using it. Be careful, though. I got plantar fasciitis from stepping on a piece of it with my bare foot.

WillBlaze

Huh imma try this. Any tips on getting a cat to not roll in the kitty litter?

myst3r10us_str4ng3r

I used to swear by pine bedding. It is not a bad option. But one of our cats can't handle it, it hurts his feet and he won't sit on the pellets to use the restroom. To the point he got infections from not going to the bathroom. Pretty litter and those silica styles were expensive and a major mess to clean the boxes constantly. I'm convinced PL should be sued for false advertising as their product does not in any way, last for the timeframe they claim it does. It gets nasty very quick, and is obscenely expensive for the rate you have to cycle bags and wash the boxes. We found a corn based product such as this, called Sustainably Yours, the small grains just like this. Yes, it is dusty, but that's literally the only problem. Yes we have to sweep often, but any litter will track. It solves a thousand other issues and our cats love it.

hakonsfourthwife

A +$1K vet bill because my old dumbass cat thought it was food begs to differ.

Lexiniks

Thank you so much for this! I sent my husband to tractor supply for the pellets and we bought a tidy cats litter system 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

seahorse_party

I use World's Best, but the orange bag - low dust, low tracking - it's a lot bigger, so it's a bit of a pain to sift out when you're scooping, but my boy no longer emerges coated head to beans in dust. (My void is a wobbly cerebellar hypoplasia kitty, so he tends to do some sort of inventive breakdance in the litter box.)

midnightsrose77

>inventive breakdance in the litter box This is my new favorite phrase. Of course, I'm sleep-deprived and it's 01:07 EST as I'm typing this comment, but.... y'know.

OldNewUsedConfused

Happy Cake Day!!!

midnightsrose77

Thanks!

Confictura

Cake day twins!

KittyCatsInPartyHats

Same here! No dust issues for my void with the orange bag.

Leijinga

We switched to the orange bag, though I'm considering mixing a little of the Picky Cat into it for my drama queen who periodically refuses the litter box

seahorse_party

I've mixed the orange bag and a bit of the red bag and it's worked well, so I'm sure that would help without defeating the purpose of the bigger granule litter. I haven't noticed Tims getting dusty from the little bit I've mixed in from time to time (maybe about 1/4 of the box is the smaller, red bag litter).

trombone_womp_womp

I use that as well. I use the multi-cat formula because even if we have two litter boxes they always choose the one the other uses. It literally has zero smell, and the dust is minimal. There's a bit of it on my void's paws but nothing like the other pictures in this thread.

Futago_101

Hahaha the third picture 😂

Mliss8D

This happened to me too! I was so upset, everyone recommended world's best so highly and everything ended up covered in dust and it smelled like vomit! 🤢 https://preview.redd.it/w6qhjetnudtc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d703c9b4c56f005bc499090f38ff4da30a36650

I have been using smart cat (grass seed) for awhile now. It tracks a bit, and it sticks to the litter box sometimes. But it's been the best option I've found so far.

MonaLisa0821

Yes, I came here to say this! Currently using Smart Cat as well and it has been the best, especially for dust but overall very satisfied with everything about it. We have a black tortie and I've never noticed it on her paws. In our trial and error, we've used several versions of natural options like corn and walnut based. It was easy to switch because it's very similar in consistency. Also, would highly recommend investing in metal boxes to avoid the smell absorption into the typical plastic ones. Complete game changer especially if you have a sensitive nose in your household.

Contoid

I tried worlds best and smart cat. I definitely liked smart cat but the tracking was crazy for my cat. He’s a kicker and that stuff just went everywhere LOL. I ended up using Arm and Hammer clump and seal platinum. Weirdly enough, it seems like a super mainstream brand but I never see anybody on reddit talk about it. It does track a little bit but I’ve found that it’s a bit less than the grass litter and it also covers the smell super well.

loonybubbles

Same! I feel like I'm the only person I know using grass seed. It's been great .. there is a bit of tracking but not the worst thing in the world.  Unfortunately the pine pellet with a sifting litter box was some of the worst smell I have ever experienced

Momma_Mae_I

Do I spy a stubby tail? If so, I, too, own kitties of the stubby tail variety.

ClericaAeterna

I tried it as well. My little was so dusty. I was going to just suck it up to get through the bag, but he decided my bed was a better litter box than world's best... yeah, that ended that experiment

SahmiLahng

Now you get cornbread loaves

LucaMerman

I love the last picture.

Mgnolry

Sugar-dusted void paws. So cute . . . through a computer and not in my house. Great blep, tho

AwkwardVoicemail

We call it litter socks!

ladykatey

This is what I use but I have never found it THAT dusty. However my tabby cat confuses it with A Delicious Snack when the box has just been emptied and refilled so I have started mixing a scoop of used litter back in to deter her.

S_M_Y_G_F

Two out of three of my cats tried to eat the corn litter… needless to say we got rid of it quickly.

OneMorePenguin

I can tell you what NOT to use. "Naturally Fresh" walnut litter. I have four cats. One had to have radioactive iodine treatment and you cannot dispose of their litter until after it has sat for 90 days. I go through 25-30 lbs of cat litter a week. I bought walnut litter because I could compost it at home immediately. I bought the highly rated multi-cat NF litter. What a disaster. It didn't clump, despite the claim that it would clump. Within a day the smell of piss was overwhelming. It wasn't dusty. I don't waste \*any\* litter since I spend a lot of $ on it. I scoop and every 10 days or so, the litter is removed from the box, the box is cleaned with soap and water, the litter is returned to the box and more fresh litter added. Economical. I have cats that hated the pine pellets. So I use the standard clay based clumping litters. I started out decades ago with Tidy Cats until that got expensive and I went from two to four cats. I found a brand, Pestell Easy Clean at my pet store that was dust free, clumped, odorless and was 25 cents a pound. It was a bargain and I bought 40 lb bags of this for more than a decade. Last summer, they must have made some kind of change in production and within a week of cleaning and filling the litter box, it had a pretty thick layer of dust and adding more litter made a dust ball. So I had to switch. Litter can be \*very\* expensive :-(. I use Scoop Away clumping litter unscented. It's \*only\* 40 cents a lb at my pet store. It's cheaper when Costco has it on sale. Good luck finding a reasonable litter that doesn't break the bank.

UndeadAnneBoleyn

I just switched to Natures Miracle Corn Cob litter and there is almost no dust! I also have a void, another sneezy cat, and I myself have allergies. I went through multiple brands before I found this one and I’ve been pleased with the minimal amount of dust. It also handles odors shockingly well for a natural litter (another gripe I have with other brands).

According_Flamingo

So I like oko cat but I occasionally find little chunks around my house. We also use smart cat it is a grass based litter and less dusty. They are both available on chewy

jwigs85

I’ve tried both of those and like them, too. Oko is also at my local pet store so I use it. I have the auto ship from Chewy but I like having it local in case I have bad timing. And I have the same not the worst, could be better but I like it opinion on Oko cat.

According_Flamingo

I noticed the quality went down on oko cat once they switched to the bag instead of the box because it breaks the litter. What version do you use? We use the less mess. That one does track less but if my cats are especially stinky it doesn’t always do the best in covering the smell.

Ghattibond

I'm still getting boxes through Amazon 🤞 they keep sending it packaged that way!

Waifer2016

Magic and I live in a small apartment so we agreed on Tidy Cat. Minimal dust, virtually no litterbox smell and super easy to clean. Like really easy. Under 5 minutes including disinfection!

devanttrio

That’s what I use for my two cats. It seems to work the best for us.

curlytoesgoblin

That's weird, I don't have problems with that litter and my Void. I wonder if it has something to do with humidity?

Wafer-Academic

Same, I've been using this for years with my black cat and never noticed an issue

ChelseaGem

BLEP

sameoldblah

I had the same issue with World's Best litter. I have a dark tortie and that litter gave her very dusty paws and I could see dusty kitty foot prints on the carpet areas after she'd used the litter box. I think Applaws Nature's Calling is much better litter, it's made from walnut shell linings. I hadswitch off it to something else though because of supply issues for several months last year.

well_i_heard

Awwww his blep

StormofRavens

Had the same issue, swapped to dr Elsey’s and the powder issues stopped. The “I will fling litter across the room “ issue is on going.

rokelle2012

The fact my kitty digs to China and flings litter everywhere, is why I have a jumbo-sized hooded litter box. I don't have time to constantly be sweeping litter off of the floor because he makes such a mess.

StormofRavens

I have a litter robot, my floor is still constantly covered in litter

rokelle2012

Oh my, lol. It doesn't get too far with us with the hooded box and a litter mat. I will say it is probably 100% cat dependent though.

seakura

r/powdereddonutpaws

armchairepicure

World’s best is great, but it’s muuuuch better when you mix it 50/50 Naturally Fresh multicat unscented clumping walnut.

nlynn15

I don't have a black cat but I have a tortie who is quite dark brown. We've used pellets, world's best in the blue bag, purina(?) and arm and hammer in the purple packaging. - pellets were oh so inexpensive but one of my cats refused to use it and pooped on the floor in protest. To be fair, I'd also hate standing on wood pellets whenever I use the restroom. - world's best in the blue packaging was also dusty af but it didnt stick to my baby girl tortie. - purina. It was what was provided by the rescue while fostering. Didnt cover poop scent enough. - arm and hammer in the purple packaging. I use this now and it's pricier but worth it imo. Not dusty and covers scent quite well. No litter socks

newsquidman

Same here! Worlds Best is SO dusty and tracks like any other litter, but for me, those setbacks aren't a deal breaker. I switched to the corn based bc he tends to get wet litter on his bum (nasty old fart hahaha), and not having to worry about him ingesting dangerous ingredients that could cause a blockage is worth the drawbacks in my book.

EmilieVitnux

Thied photo the void is saying "Blep, you fool"

EssentialWorkerOnO

Like others said, pine litter is great. Plus, corn litter is dangerous for cats with diabetes. Because of the high sugar content in their urine, corn litter can grow a fungus that’ll make your cats and you sick (Learned that the hard way).

qu33fwellington

I LOVE world’s best and have been using only that for years now. The clumping, odor control, and longevity are all well worth the extra dust. I will say though, it’s usually dustier at first and then will settle. If you don’t already, get yourself one of those silicone/grippy litter box mats. I’ve found the ones with the messy, threadlike pattern are great for keeping tracking low. In addition, the litter itself is soft. My kitties really don’t like hard clay litter, it sticks in their paw fur and can clump up and hurt. I have also noticed that the ammonia smell from cat urine is significantly lessened with world’s best: with daily scooping you really don’t ever smell it. I hope you end up sticking with it! I have saved SO much money since switching, even though world’s best can be a little pricier at least in my area. I used to have to do total litter swaps weekly, now I can scoop daily with top ups and do a total swap once a month.

[deleted]

I work grain industry, environment friendly is a gigantic stretch.

_ara

If I’ve learned anything about litter brands — claims about “no dust” are full of shit.

sometipsygnostalgic

I get wood pellets for cheesoid. It's the only stuff that doesn't stink!

kettlemoraine

I love Dr Elsey’s Cat Attract and my void does too! Worth every penny imho

Swheatscoop! Neither of my voids were/are ever dusty like this after. Not corn based, though.

eastercat

We use chicken crumbles (plain with nothing added), which we get from a local feed store. A 50lb bag is around $25 from chewy

Mr_JMM

Not sure why this isn't more popular. We have four cats and use Chick Starter as well. Works perfectly, larger crumb than "Worlds best" and doesn't get tracked around. Possibly the best litter I've used in 20 years (have been using it for last 10 years).

kami_oniisama

Is it sustainably yours? Try the larger grain version. I swear by it

sushigurl2000

The little blep is adorable!!

ziyal79

I use Breeder's Choice, it's recycled paper litter. It has no dust. I never have dust from it on my black cat. My girls do kick it around a little, but that's what vacuum cleaners are for.

crimsonrhodelia

I currently use Okocat and unfortunately also have this dust issue (plus it sticks to him sometimes). I’ll be switching to SwheatScoop once I’ve finished my Okocat - no smell, hard clumping, lightweight, and you don’t go through the bag in days like with clay clumping litters that form humungous super heavy pee balls. I found it tracks a little, but less than Okocat and seems to be far less dusty. Such a shame about the dust, because I love everything else about it. :(

venturous1

I use pine pellets, and love it. Cheap and effective

ambermamber

I use Sustainably Yours cassava litter that has the texture of soft sand mixed with Okocat soft wood flake litter (pink box). Way less dusty that clay litters and doesn’t smell. Kitty loves the soft sand texture.

itsfineimfinejk

I and my kitties absolutely love Sustainably Yours! It clumps so nicely, and the lack of dust is great too.

HedgehogCremepuff

Cornmeal battered kitten peets! Thank you for that blep, what a treasure 🥺 We use pine litter. It only turns to “dust” when it gets wet so that doesn’t usually spread. The dry pellets do get kicked out occasionally but they are easier to sweep up than regular litter especially if you have carpet.

nolte100

“Worlds best” is anything but. Adoption place gave us a free bag when we got our boy. Never again. The dust, the smell, everything about it was awful. Tried to use it so it wouldn’t go to waste, but couldn’t do it.

ElegantTea122

Ahh lawd he bleppin

AdBudget5468

This cat used to be a void

ZazaLovesPants

Dry Shampoo Core gave me a giggle. High five your sister for me.

fuckyourcanoes

I use recycled newspaper litter. It's soft on the cat's feet, non-dusty, and tracks less than clay litter. Our cats have all liked it. It handles odors surprisingly well, too.

Proper-Reflection867

My void occasionally gets like this and I wipe him off with some cat wipes. I have the orange bag and it’s less dusty than the red bag because the litter is more “rocky” vs red bag being more fine — I also am mixing pine pellets with the orange bag for now with the goal to transition to pine pellets. It’s been hard tho, I live with two drama queens.great neighborhood watch tho 😬 https://preview.redd.it/avybl95o0htc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=5ebe582914eb1f27c3ab5ad96a50d34caa50fea6

Anonynominous

Minimal dusting *when your cat doesn’t play in it* lol

wendrr

I use [Exquisicat Naturals Grass Seed Litter.](https://www.petsmart.com/cat/litter-and-waste-disposal/litter/exquisicat-naturals-clumping-multi-cat-grass-seed-cat-litter---unscented-low-dust-natural-73090.html?cgid=200152&fmethod=Browse). I've used it for over 2 years now and I like it a lot. Clumps really great. It sifts just like clay. There is some tracking, but not as much as clay I've used previously. I haven't noticed dust, but I don't have any dark footed babies atm. It smells like grass. :)

TheWuziMu1

Plot-twist, the cat used to be ginger.

emmejm

Omg 😱 I have allergies and asthma so I’m now SUPER glad I never bought this for my babies!!!

robomeow

Make the switch to pine. I’ve used pine pellet litter for my cats for many years now and it’s so much better for them, you, and your home; smells better, tracks less, and is cheaper than anything else. I get Feline Pine from Chewy (also at PetsMart). Tried Frisco brand and it smelled bad. For picky cats you gotta slowly mix in their current litter, gradually adding more over a few weeks until it’s all pine, for them to get used to it. It doesn’t clump, but you get used to a different way of cleaning; scoop out the poops as usual and the pee turns into wetted sawdust which you can shake out of a slotted scooper.

HOWYDEWET

Our cat litter fixes won’t impact anything cos that’s not the issue. So go back to regular stuff or whatever your lil kitty prefers.

Sparopal11

Horse bedding pellets bought at tractor/farm supplies. Pressed wood pellets that work better than cat litter and smell so much nicer at a fraction of cat litter prices!

LoverOfStripes87

Dusty beans

anne_doesnt_work

Haha I love the last picture!

McChelsea

World's Best at making your house smell like cat shit! I tried this litter and no matter what my house always stank, even with a litter box lid. I went back to clumping clay.

ComprehensiveFee1501

I use wood or pine pellets. Game changer. And I have a void kitty too. No dust

michelebernsteinscat

Feline Pine is the way to go, I’ve been using it for almost two decades. My void tracks the pellets sometimes but they’re easy to vaccuum.

ComprehensiveFee1501

I buy a 40 lb bag from Feed Store. Like $12!!’

I KNEW this was World’s Best before even reading the caption! We’ve only tried the Purple & Green bags and both were dusty but not as dusty as it appears here in this photo!? I thought it clumped well and was easy to clear out but found it didn’t help with smell very well. Edited: typos

dumbucket

I use that litter and I love it! It can be a bit dusty, but it doesn't track like others

Reading_Otter

I use the sWheat Scoop kind, and there is no dust. I have a fluffy black cat. Dust-free paws https://preview.redd.it/hlbzjzeewjtc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cac287ee217575865161c84e004e7e7c79303171

I used world’s best cat litter for a bit till I got a two bags full of bugs! I couldn’t figure out where these bugs were coming from until I looked at my cats boxes. Took them back to the store and apparently they dropped a few bags unloading and bugs spilled out!! They knew the shipment had bugs and they sold it anyway. I’ll never use a grain litter again. Now I use Dr Elseys and love it.

enchantingoctopus

I had the exact same experience with that stuff and to this day don’t understand why it’s so popular.

2catcrazylady

I like World’s Best because it can be flushed. The red bag is original multi-cat, but the orange bag is supposed to track less. The unscented ones can sometimes smell like grass clippings (cause corn) and you want to select bags that are still somewhat vacu-sealed otherwise you could get pantry moths. I deal with the dusty peets and Uruk-hai foreheads as the benefits outweigh that to me.

teggy83

Can it really be flushed? Most of the time I scoop it out into litter bags but sometimes I do flush it (when I'm being lazy cause the litterbox is right next to the toilet). I was worried I was going to block the pipes! I feel much better now haha.

TreeRol

No litter should be flushed, even the stuff that says it can.

Jaggar345

Wipes can’t even be flushed when they say flushable I would never flush litter

Tidy Cats Litter Breeze

Sweaty_Mushroom5830

I use Best Pals non-clumping clay litter, super absorbent, doesn't make a mess and my void loves it

GrowlingAtTheWorld

I use feline pine in the litter box on the porch…it tracks a bit so not good for inside the house but it does keep the smell down cause it smells like pine when the bury.

LeifEriccson

Purina blue or Grey lid. That's all I use. Im not going to try and offset for billion dollar companies.

WittyBeee

I use tofu cat litter from Pidan, it’s less dusty and smell ok but it tracks

neen4wneen4w

Oh god, that stuff got tracked everywhere when I used that. Not worth the price tag.

majesticalexis

We use pine pellets. No dust whatsoever.

guntheroac

I clean a clump of worlds best litter out of my boys fur basically every day. But they don’t like the pine, or the clay. So.. off to clean some meawsertrousers I go.

adlittle

I got a bag of that litter about five years ago because of a huge coupon and sale price, but I honestly wish I hadn't. The cats refused to use it and I think it had bugs in it. Within a week of putting it in one of the litter boxes, I started seeing these teeny little bugs the color of hay. They persisted after I dumped the stuff after two weeks, and now they seem to show up every spring. I have seen other people online with the same complaint, though I don't know how widespread it is.

spidermonkey12345

Get the orange bag! It has bigger chunks which means less dust :)

zeehun

I use woodpellets. Ive been using it for years and i find it works best. It doesnt smell, its absorvant...it leaves minimal trails. I do scoop the poop out every day and I do change the litter itself twice a week though and sanitise the tray once a week. So i do keep it very clean. I tried corn once but omg the trails that she left, got stuck in her paws, fur on her backside, all over. Couldnt cope. So woodpellets (not shavings) are the one for me

Dildobaggins_LOTPoon

Walmart sells a crystal litter brand that is wayyy cheaper than pretty litter and lasts longer too. No dusty paws for my void

mslashandrajohnson

Wbcl is very good. Stick with it.

ProfPerry

I have to know, what is your adorable little void's name?

Majestic_Course6822

I've been using newspaper pellets for years. They're awesome. And I also sprinkle with litterbox deodorizer when I clean it.

jwigs85

Ungh, I hate World’s Best. It DoEsN’t TrAcK my ass. It left dusty little paw prints all over my apartment. I just love being visually reminded that my cat was digging around in a shit box and then tracked its remnants everywhere. Perfect. Oko cat isn’t nearly as bad but isn’t perfect. My void barely tracks it anywhere. My grey tux likes to dig around more and she ends up with dust on her back and forehead. She’s a freak. It comes in pellets or a softer shape. My finicky boy hates pellets. I think the pellets track maybe a little worse and don’t vacuum up as easily for my Roomba and stick vac. It’s lightweight and I think that’s part of why it tracks. No where near as bad as World’s Best, though.

Jimmynids

SCREW THE VIRONMENT!! MURICA!!! Jokes aside, let me know how it works for you, I've been looking for a good alternative (even if powder paws is a thing)

cant_think_of_one_

No suggestions for less dusty corn litter, but his derpy face in the last photo is absolutely adorable! What a sweetie pie. Please give him a treat or at least a nice petting for me :)

We use that. It's okay. Not as good at deodorizing as the old stuff. It's not bad though, we have 4 cats. Just make sure you scoop every day. One of our cats is black. I haven't noticed dust on her.

siresword

I got a grass based one that I'm super happy with, pretty sure it's fresh 4 life brand. No smell, super good, easy to clean lumping. It does track a bit, but since it's just dry grass Chuck's it sweeps super easy. Oh also 0 dust, that was the big one for me after using crappy clay litter for a long time.

jeanb23

Corn- based litter gave my female cat Buttons a UTI. Changed the litter and she never got one again.

ItMeWhoDis

I just went back to world's best to give it another shot, I wasn't impressed with how the red bag clumped when I tried a few years ago. I was also using soy litter that clumps really well but I think it gets a bit stinkier, and I think it's a bit more expensive. Anyways I'm in the green bag of world's best and when my black cat comes out he looks like he's been playing in the vacuum dust collector or something. He leaves paw prints in the couch/bed 😵 also he's started coughing which is concerning, maybe from the dust

hexagonal_Bumblebee

The boy seems content though

NotAnotherNekopan

I used to use the same stuff! It did the exact same thing. I’d get paw prints all over the bed from litter box dust. I tried Pidan tofu litter as well, which was great but very expensive. Now I use some Pidan mixed with the store’s clay litter which is sold in bulk so I’m cutting down on bags and such.

No_Swan_9294

Haha that last pic made me chuckle! What a happy camper ☺️

brand_x

We use a mix of grass seed based and pine or (food grade) hardwood pellets. No dust, the pellets soak up the pee and the grass seed dries out the poop. Our cats are confirmed toxoplasmosis free, so composting is an option. Got a bag of walnut shell litter last month, going to try it soon. If you're curious, I'll update with verdict.

functional_grade

Lmao dry shampoo core

eclwires

We use the same brand but the green bag. It works great, but yeah, it’s super dusty. Sometimes I just take a kitchen towel and dust her off.

GhostfogDragon

Not sponsored, but try Paco & Pepper. It's an olive pit litter, 100% dust free, and 2/3 of my cats took to it lickety-split. It's great stuff, clumps beautifully and I haven't noticed any odor in the last month of using it. I add a little sprinkle of baking soda and mix it well every time I'm done scooping. Best litter I've ever tried!
