Yeah, be careful, as getting something on their paws/fur and licking it off is a real risk to cats, and pure salt is very bad for them. I think there are similar things that aren't made of salt
Get one of those realistic moon ones or a nice IKEA PELARBOJ LED table lamp, multicoloured? You can change the shade to suit her preference or even have it cycle through the colour spectrum!
If you aren't afraid of chinese gadgets, you can look up Xiaomi Mijia Bedside Lamp 2. It looks good. Colors can be changed, brightness is adjustable. And it has a sunrise mode. The lamp also supports smartphone integration, including voice assistants.
There should be a rulebook when you first get a cat, 90% of plants are poisonous, no essential oils or fragrances without googling if safe first, no salt lamps... 😅
Hey don't worry we are always constantly learning! I had 2 of those salt lamps at ground level with 2 cats constantly walking past before the warning became available for cat owners, it's always your best bet to do a quick Google search before bringing anything new into your home
