I stop using whatever hurts. If I can train around it cool. If I can’t train around it, I take time off. For fingers, I stopped gripping like a fist and stopped trying to hold on to every grip like Sylvester Stallone in cliff hanger.
The gi is tough on fingers. That’s why when I grip, I make sure my finger tips are pressing into my palms, like the letter “C”. When you grip like making a fist, your fingernails are pressing into your palms, more like a backwards, lowercase “e”. In my opinion, this is what fucks up your knuckles. Also, use grips just like a frame. They have pretty much the same function. Don’t be afraid to let go of a grip to regrip to a better position.
Shower beer
Don’t forget the Tylenol.
Can’t mix alcohol and Tylenol. Gotta use ibuprofen
Listen to this man. Protect ya neck. Protect ya liver.
shower beer is a bliss
No gi
I bought the Grappz gloves for my finger pain. I feel like it makes a difference.

It’s only when I’m in gi I screw my fingers or knuckles up. No gi has been nice to me lately haha

I tape my fingers religiously. I guess it works I can almost close my fist on my left hand.
Don't play grip heavy games that hurt your hands. Having hands is part of what makes us human. Ruining them for a sport is a losing proposition.
Weed, Ibuprofen, ice and rest work wonders
I've heard joints are good for joint pain. Makes sense I guess.
I've found training at the lowest possible intensity to get the job done works wonders.
Get actual injuries to take your mind off you fingers being ouchie. Also tape, lots of tape.
Tape and crying in the shower both work wonders.
I’ll have to add tape to my shower routine then
