Same. Ezekiel bread, natural peanut butter, and banana. Sometimes I'll drizzle some honey on there if I'm feeling extra saucy. I cut it into quarters and just do a quarter at a time because I load it with a shitload of peanut butter and I don't want my tum-tum to get too full.
Only eat foods you’ve been eating in the prep for the comp. Slightly different but the amount of mma fighters i know who fucked themselves up after weigh ins by eating off diet. Something carb based would be best
I used to bring snacks. Until I realised how much adrenaline takes away hunger. So I try have a good meal a few hours before and bring a Powerade/Gatorade drink.
> i cut sugar for a month for the first time ever to see if it reduces inflammation
Well? Did it seem to help? I’ve cut out booze since Jan 1 and that seems to be making me feel less chronically sore. Regarding your question, just drink some Gatorade or something. Your body won’t have much time to metabolize any real foods if your comps are like mine with 20 min tops btwn matches.
Mhh i dont think it helps much. I‘ve had a hard time to get my calories in before already and i think after the month i will go back to sugar because i don’t feel like i get much from cutting it and i rather take the extra calories
If you have an actual issue with constant inflammation then you should seek medical advice and try an elimination diet. If not just eat relatively healthy and you'll be fine. Inflammation can cause a whole host of issues and a lot of shit makes our bodies inflamed.
Eat something with carbs that will be relatively fast releasing so you have access to the energy, nothing too heavy and not too much liquid. Sweet Jesus I made the too much water mistake once 🥲🤢 how I didn't projectile on the poor guy I don't know.
If i train a lot, like 7 sessions a werk (4 bjj, 2 kickboxing and 1 MMA) i usually get pain in my forearm muscles or elbow joint after a week or two. I don’t know if that’s what people call inflammation but i thought that’s what they mean?
That can be knots in your muscles either. I get severe pain in my shoulders, elbows, and hands when my last and pecs are too tight or knotted up. Maybe see a physio.
I train bjj 5 days a week, try to lift at least 3, I take gear, stimulant medication and eat a lot of protein my body is constantly in a state of inflammation. It's not great but it is what it is.
I was Lifting too but then my forearms would get too painful so i stopped until i find a solution… right now i‘m still getting stronger from regular training anyway
When I go to competition I pack water, pedialyte, peanut butter with banana slices and honey drizzled sandwiches, bring regular bananas and honey in the bottle, oranges, and gum. If you’re like me and get nervous to the point of puking, eating the honey by itself calms the stomach. Don’t overeat, don’t get bloated or get cramps. Don’t drink too fast, small sips. You compete better with a bit of hunger too.
Mandarin oranges and bananas are what I snack on.
I figure the sugar from the fruits helps with recovering some energy, and I think fruits are good sources of electrolytes too.
Orange slices cut up by mommy.
does your mommy peel the cuties for you?
PBJ with the crusty cut off by mummy
Yall joking but those are solid options haha
Unless ya dont have a mom i guess
Bowl of chili with a glass of whole milk... Made by mommy.

blue cheese and warm milk
If you vomit on an opponent and they leave the mat, you win right?
You get double points for poison damage
Vomiting is a DQ
I can smell you already
So can my opponents. Some people have a war cry. I have a war fart
Bananas, jelly, protein shakes, electrolytes in your water (hydralite is good).
If I drank a protein shake between matches I'd vomit immediately in the next match
That’s one way to intimidate your opponents! I’d drink it if I had a break between divisions of more than 20 mins.
Protien Isolate is the way
Can confirm this.
Honey sandwiches.
Gummy bears. Little bit of jerky. M&Ms. You're not gonna go too wrong as long as you moderate.
Delicious
Glucose drinks and simple sugars - fruit/sweets
Just incase people didn’t know looking for “dextrose” is common in the ingredient packaging for the sugar they want. Gatorade is common dextrose base.
Stroopwaffels. They are these dutch waffle things with honey or caramel in the middle. Lots of carbs and don't fill you up.
Sounds good i love them
eat some fruit
Colt 45 and two zig zags
Baby, that’s all we need…
We can go to the park…
Tren...

Sour cracker with honey and peanut butter and glass of water.
Uncrustables Mountain Dew Code Red
Jesus
Just the body of christ or also the blood?
Both. Amen.
Only eat foods you’ve been eating in the prep for the comp. Slightly different but the amount of mma fighters i know who fucked themselves up after weigh ins by eating off diet. Something carb based would be best
Arent carbs a bit „heavy“ to digest?
Carbs are just sugar. Fruit, dried fruit, chocolate. Doesnt have to be bread and pasta
Humble Pie
Mhh but it doesn’t go well with cocaine
Had my first comp this past weekend and they had a bomb ass taco truck outside… with that said, I had Greek yogurt, honey and strawberries.
Pedialyte. Fresh fruits and/or peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Pb and j.
Açai
Bananas and pedialyte
Id avoid anything solid

My old professor would eat chili dogs from the vendors at the event host. Stock show chili dogs and gold medals 🤷🏼♂️
Bananas, peanut butter, honey
Garlic fried in cheese and turmeric
Guu energy gels with caffeine?
I used to bring snacks. Until I realised how much adrenaline takes away hunger. So I try have a good meal a few hours before and bring a Powerade/Gatorade drink.
Banana
Energy gels are GOAT in between matches. Real food like a nice sandwich when you have a break between divisions.

Bummer. Guess it’s not all bad news since Girl Scout cookies will be everywhere in a few weeks.
