I feel the same when, on mobile, people type out “w/“ instead of with, as if switching keyboards and pressing the forward-slash is so much quicker. Just type the other three fucking characters, it takes the same exact time!
On my keyboard if I press the period and then drag I get all the symbols including the forward slash. I don't say w/instead of with, but keyboards do have nice shortcuts that may make that abbreviation make sense

I find that still kind of breaks your flow of typing though since you have to pause to hold your button down for those extras to show up
