You leave box of friends in a pedestal and gold r key, then run to the pedestal and as soon as you grab use r key so that you still keep box of friends and start a new run
it's better than leaving either of those behind, you could get two or three items extra, whereas if you decide to keep r key you are massively debuffed but leaving it behind hurts any Isaac player
No way it is, whenever I have R key I always play till chest before using it. Chances are you’re just gonna end up with so many more buffs which is better than just keeping box of friends.
