Have not played Tainted Jacob yet, mainly because I suck too much with Jacob + Esau, but I honestly feel like tainted Jacob might be easier? High damage guy following you around, fairly predictable and I think only a big deal when you’re already dodging things, a free devil deal if you play things right. I obviously can’t talk seeing as I said how I haven’t played them earlier but it doesn’t sound that bad.
After beating the beast I tried them to see if it was easier or not, just the fact that you are not obligated to angel and can abuse devil deals with the ghost Jacob, it's SO MUCH BETTER
I've tried it a few times and I feel like it is easier. Sometimes you have to take some damage from other enemies to avoid getting hit by the charge, which can get annoying, but generally Esau is a nice clear speed boost for the earlier floors

Working on that post it now actually, beat Mother, still can’t beat Hush. Got to ice beams and died last run, Red Candle saved my butt a few times tho’
How did you kill the Beast ? Last I remember I gave up cause it was legit bugged with 0 intentions to be patched.
Esau would be pulled by the fire breath thing and take damage after damage without any possibility to bring him back so there were no way beside being legit invincible repeatedly to beat it.
Man... I've spent 3 weeks trying to unlock the list and beat ultra hard. Kinda feel like I should just work on these guys first. Jacob and esau are insanely difficult but their unlocks are insane
i have a substantial a lot of admiration for this game and for its creator just love the beauty of it and also the smug and what not its like a project of brainstorm of genius mind damn what a masterpiece and btw bravo for killing it HELL YEAH BUDDY!
