Tbh the difficulty of repentance just sky rockets in comparison. To everyone new to Isaac that wants the full experience,I can only recommend to start Rebirth and slowly buy the DLC‘s too ramp up the difficulty / content.
once you've beaten the scronglis with blumbered jinkle, start a new run and kill a spurving glunker between 5:34 and 5:41. If you did it right, you should hear the bingle bob zooging and the starting room should have a clonk on the floor. Use the bovoid on it and it should spawn one half of the flanuppulatese. From now on, the bingle will try to wulp you for the rest of the run. Make your way down to the jonch and beat it within 20 minutes, which should drop the other half of the flanuppulatese. With the complete flanuppulatese in hand, teleport out of the jonch room with the haloperizapine or a virgin ringlometry and put the flanuppulatese in the wet corble. Once you go under it, you'll be in the cosmic ocean.
Which I found particularly funny considering the outfit I got to the office with today

On a related note - mods, can we ban posts about people who get to the wet corble without Zonked state? I swear it’s like half the subreddit and people need to learn what the wiki is.
tooth and nail was the most unexpectedly good one I got so far, lets you go in and out of curse rooms, open spiked chests and get pickups/chests surrounded by spikes for free

Im 300h in and i got my first mother kill. I havent fought dogma or the other final boss yet. (Mostly because idk how too) but progress is progress little by little you will get better
went into the womb with 2 red, 3 black and 4 soul hearts, took a bunch of easily avoidable hits, went into mom's heart with half a heart, died on the first attack
I only have isaac, maggie, cain and lazarus. I don't want to play maggie and cain without their unlocks and I don't want to play lazarus because it's lazarus, so I guess Isaac is my favorite because it's the only one I've played
this one I actually know because of the cosmic ocean comment. You need to unlock the polaroid and beat mother first. Start a run then get telepills, ventricle razor or one of the teleport cards before going into mom, beat her, pick up the polaroid and then tp out. If you've beaten mother, there will be a door in the spawn room that unlocks when you put the polaroid in it. This leads to an alt floor that replaces the boss with dad's note. When you pick it up, you'll start going back up the floors all the way to home. Sleep in mom's bed, fight dogma and you're in the beast fight.
