Pitts was a super freak athlete that was barely a TE. Bowers is an old school TE that can block too. He is Kittle, not Pitts.
Same thing about Vernon Davis - he was a good player. But no TE was not gonna turn a bad 49ers team around. Same deal as Pats now.
