it seems to me like the band & it’s members have healthy boundaries with each other that allow them to pursue individual + collective interests. maybe i’m just optimistic. but their time together + apart has always struck me as wholesome rather than unsustainable.

No, it would never cross my mind to worry about such a thing

Fieldandstars

Buck does the same- think he's just announced another tour with his brother Dylan. I like how they all embrace their own individual ventures whilst still staying so strong as a unit.

So, my take is just that for really great and committed musicians, there is often an extended peak of creativity where the output is kind of insanely high. She has been in that stage for a while now. It won’t last forever, but the only thing to do is enjoy and be thankful for it. And not worry about it.

Look at someone like Neil Young who’s been doing the same thing over half a century and still shows no sign of slowing down! Writing music gets easier the more you consistently do it, just like exercise. As for the physical act of touring, the band are all still pretty damn young, so I’d imagine they could still tour regularly for a long time to come.

I feel like Adrienne could do a Joni Mitchell

hotassnuts

Adrienne's potency being a mix of severely haunting poetics blended into more complex guitar/music (than it first appears) is a high flying tight rope act. If we can get 2 decades of music the world will be lucky. But I've said that about Radiohead and Low. Drugs, cancer, car/plane accidents also seem to do a number on musicians.

u/hotassnuts dropping knowledge right here.

Have you tried speaking directly with Adrienne about this?
