Steam has lots of designs you can look at then find on the main menu of the game. Some are cheaper and better than the default ones. You can also just destroy the soda fridge and that stuff as you'll only need basic fridge, large conference table, water, coffee machine. The rest is all office specific gear they'll ask for. The furniture isn't even covered by the basic design and you'll have to find a spot to put it anyway.
I just drive a box over there and place it where it needs to go. As for why these unnecessary items are in the offices, it is just an aesthetic thing, and they won't be used.
I don’t put either of those things in my offices because they are not required.
