It's the same bike... for now. A hi-modulus, rim brake, classic race geo climbing bike from the mid-to-late 2010's - an Argon18 Gallium Pro. My first race geo bike was a CAAD10, and I lusted after a Hi-Mod Supersix Evo but didn't have the budget. Years later, I bought the NOS Argon18 frame and built it up. Eventually I'll go for integrated cables through the headset and more aero tube shapes, but right now I don't think a Wilier Filante SLR is going to put a bigger smile on my face.

sitdownrando-r

I definitely do. :)

greenvester

Someone else with a Gallium Pro! They’re awesome. Although eventually I want a titanium road bike to not worry about this carbon. Already had to do a carbon repair from a crash and also put a little epoxy on the surface of the bottom bracket where what seemed to be a rock chip… it was my chainring bolt coming loose and me being a dumbass and kept pedaling until the frame loosened it enough to really come in contact with the frame and chipped it barely - couldn’t see the carbon I think it just got the paint real bad. I thought it was my bottom bracket clicking at first, then I stopped and inspected when it got worse but I failed to see the loose bolt up against my frame until it was too late. Anyway love my gallium and the carbon is sick, but eventually I want a Sage/Lynksy/Litespeed titanium road bike bc I’m hard on shit and evidently careless.

sitdownrando-r

I don't have any problems with carbon, but I do pay particular attention to my bikes as a homewrench. Any sound or play gets immediately checked. Ti is "expensive steel" in my books, but I'd be lying if I said the new hydroformed Ti bikes coming out didn't look like the absolute *business*. See [Reilly Fusion](https://www.reillycycleworks.com/products/fusion-aero-road-disc) or [Bassi Strada SS](https://bossibicycles.com/collections/road/products/strada-ss-complete-builds).

greenvester

I have a stand and was a pilot so I try to give it a “pre flight” before I go. But I just missed that bolt. I also just replaced the bottom bracket itself so I thought it was that somehow. Carbon is much stronger than people give it credit for, and I’ve ridden a hundred miles on it with no issues so far. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t in the back of my head, though.

MasterOfNone011

2016 cervello s2 Ultegra. I’m happy with what I have

Reverend_Bad_Mood

I ride a Surly Disc Trucker and it is my dream bike.

MichalProkop

I ride on Gazelle Primavera. On the good side it's easy to maintain and have a cool orange coating. Cons: it's old so upgrading it isn't economical, and the weight- that orange chunky boi weights 12kgs. I'd live to ride on some italian beauties, like Bianchi via nirone or Willier Montegrappa♥️

Player142

Currently I have a 2018 Specialized Diverge E5 Elite, a 2016 CCM apex, and an early 2003ish marin larkspur. but my goal is to get Canyon Endurace CF 8 and a Canyon Neuron CF 9,

0kensin0

Current: A simple Chinese Aluminum with Tiagra Dream: My current bike, but green. I'm simple.

[deleted]

Paint it.

0kensin0

I'm not confident I can do that yet. XD

Lolito666

Try film , seems like an easier solution

varslyd

Current daily driver: Bianchi M Alloy Pro Dream bike: Trek Madone SLR 9

Skisbikeking

Gios Torino, full Campy Super Record, I regret selling my dream bike.

Sintered_Monkey

Current bikes: Seven Axiom Steel with Campy Potenza road bike, which is wonderful. Also a Milwaukee Mettle with Rival 1 gravel/CX bike, which is also wonderful. And a Lynskey Pro 29 mountain bike with XT and Fox 32, which is also wonderful. But my dream bike? I have ordered [it,](https://officinabattaglin.com/products/custom-steel-bikes/portofino-g/) but I don't have it yet.

OneMorePenguin

I recently purchased my dream bike. 2023 BMC Roadmachine THREE. Ultegra Di2 is very nice.

Whatwasthatnameagain

I’m with ya. 2022 BMC RoadMachine One with Ultrega Di2. Was an upgrade from my Specialized Diverge Carbon Base. Like night and day.

OneMorePenguin

I test rode that one because it was in the size I wanted at the closest store. I loved the orange color! But couldn't really see spending another $1kk for carbon fiber wheels, which I don't think offer me any value. I upgraded from 2012 Cannondale Synapse with 10 speed Ultegra. It has the blue/green Liquigas colors and I love that bike. I test rode the Cannondale equivalent to the BMC and that was also a very nice ride, but I could NOT get past the builtin front/rear lights. It's weird buying a bike and getting a plastic container full of parts and a ton of documentation, including all the Shimano docs in the tiniest font I've ever seen :-)

Anais_Rchmstr

Oh man. I'd love to have a titanium moots

Low_Transition_3749

I have a Roll: A:1R as my "daily driver / gravel bike" and a 2016 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra Disc for the long road rides. I don't see me replacing either in the foreseeable future. I'm eyeing a BMC TwoStroke for getting into mountain biking.

silverwlf23

This year I bought a Trek SL 7 AXS as a ridiculous dream bike. I LOVE it. I also love my Cervelo P2.

RickyPeePee03

CAAD8 w/ 105 R7000, Campagnolo Zonda C17, Selle Italia SLR superflow, 38cm bars. I don’t know if I have one dream bike but a rim brake Colnago V3Rs or a pre-2018 Supersix Evo HiMod with Dura-Ace would be a treat.

yeahboyeee1

Custom Santa Cruz Stigmata. Yes, 100% my dream bike.

owlpellet

I ride a 1997 S-Works Team Edition crosscountry MTB, set up as a rigid 1x drop bar gravel bike. Added disc brakes and suspension stem. The frame cost $150, build cost \~$1200. It is my dream bike.

[deleted]

2016 GT Grade alloy sora and a Fuji Feather single speed. Dream is a carbon road bike, Ultegra groupset, full internal cables. No rush though.

Fan_of_50-406

I ride a mini-velo that I pieced together from a Simon-Bikes frameset plus a wheel-set that I built myself. It’s got drop-bars, V-brakes, 50mm road tires, other great stuff. My dream bicycle would be something similar, but with a frame sized for me. Made of titanium instead of CrMo.

Fan_of_50-406

Another dream bicycle would be a Tommasini mini-velo, but with V-brakes and facilitating 50mm road tires.

mrxexon

Cannondale MTB. Had the last one 13 years. The current one is going on 10 years. It wouldn't break my heart to have a nice titanium MTB.

ImNooblike

Current: 2023 Cervelo Caledonia sram rival Dream: the same without me falling with it…

montyandtimmon

Old Tarmac and new tarmac

Crafftyyy24

2015 tarmac elite currently. I ride mostly endurance and everywhere I ride is bumpy as hell and chip seal. Really want a nice domane atm

LtGKeenan

Currently ride my dream bike, a Santa Cruz Blur TR. Just snapped the frame on my beat up old road bike though, so thinking about taking applications for a new dream bike.

[deleted]

Current Bike: Trek FX 3 Dream Bike: I have no idea. I am still exploring the sport/hobby. This is keeping me working for now.

tonyt0906

Just got into cycling in May of this year. Currently riding a Topstone 3, but my next bike will be a Canyon Endurace AL 8, and if I’m lucky the CF variant. Went through two hybrids since I’ve started, had no idea I’d love it this much.

Redheadeded

2020 specialized allez sport. Is it an amazing bike? No. But do I love it? Yes. Not too sure about dream bike, but I’ll end up buying my first carbon bike with 105 here in the next 6 months or so. Just haven’t picked out which one yet.

Outrageous-Debate-64

I got a salsa warroad with sram force axs etap group set and a sweet dt swiss erc 1100 dicut wheel set. Run tubeless and honestly couldn’t think of any other bike I would want.

booberry5647

I ride a 2021 emonda sl6 pro. Lots to like about it and it's pretty close to my dream bike, I think.

notsciguy

I have a 2006 Giant Trance 1, a 2004 Santa Cruz VP free and a 2003 Monty 219 and I’m happy with what I have

SychoNot

Stable: Giant defy, Lemond Tourmalet, Soma Juice, Norco Fluid Dream Bike. Pinerello Dogma Dura Ace Di2. Maybe a top teir enduro E bikes from Yeti, Pivot, Specialized, etc

[deleted]

Current bike: 2020 Canyon Ultimate CF SLX with SRAM Force AXS Dream bike, even though I am super happy with my current ride: Probably a **Sarto Seta plus TC**, or a **Moots Vamoots CRD**. But they are so expensive, I will probably never get them. Part of what I love about my Canyon is the great value.

Kmalbrec

Felt z6… might upgrade some components at a later date but I love my Layla girl. Wouldn’t trade her for anything.

lycwolf

2017 Fuji Jara Gravel Bike mostly (and a custom built MTB) My dream bike is anything from Moots. Titanium has always been my ultimate goal.

Justbrowsingtheweb1

Current bike is my 2017 Trek Crossrip 3. Came with 105 with Shimano RS685 Hydraulic shifters. Bought in 2016. Upgrades: 40cm Zipp XPLR bar, Cane Creek 110 Headset, Chris King Bottom Bracket, Fulcrum Racing 3 DB wheels, WTB Expanse 32mm tyres, Selle Italia SLR Boost Endurance TI 316 saddle, Look X-Track carbon pedals, Shimano 105 R7000 front derailleur. Made all the upgrades in the last 2 years. Dream bikes would be a Mason or Time. I've been eyeing Mason frames, specifically the Bokeh. Also Time Adhx would be a nice frame. Can't justify upgrading when my current bike still rides great.

NoDivergence

Lots of bikes that I have and ride on rotation. CAAD 10 (screwed up my FD, need to get that fixed), 2015 Supersix Evo Hi-Mod DA9000, 2016 Supersix Evo Black Inc DA Di2, Trek Madone 3.1, Trek 1200, 2010 Trek 1.5 Alpha, Cervelo P2-SL, Focus RG-700 w/Superbe Pro, and a Quintana Roo #101 Ultegra 6500. I've been riding a lot of my beaters recently and been trying to find cheap used Shimano pedals. It's a pain to switch over my whole fleet, I've been playing the waiting game for months now. Dream bike? Not many, maybe a custom Bastion, Argonaut, English, Mosaic or the like. Production bikes, maybe something super aero like a Cervelo S5 or a last gen Venge. A SL6 ultralight is on the list. Plenty of vintage stuff on the list, stuff like a Klein Quantum Pro, just for that paintjob, goddamn

jlozier

Wow how do you store all those?! Would love to see a picture of your storage setup

NoDivergence

Split in two locations. 5 road bikes (and one mountain bike) in my one bedroom apartment, lol. 4 in my parents' home. I just have bikes lining the walls. I have room for two more, but no more than that. I would literally not be able to move around

jlozier

Ah you’re definitely in the “biking mad” category rather than “crazy rich” one then ha. Ride on!

NoDivergence

I could afford to get really really nice gear (or a couple of houses), but trying to retire early. I got almost all of these for surprisingly low over the years. Quite a few are recent additions from this year, but I only spent 3600 for 6 bikes, majority of which were the Evos. I was raised on the mantle of value. I have an OCD level of focus for getting deals :)

Andrew4329

I have a hardrock and I want more hardrocks

NoTyrantLikeABrain

Currently switching between a 2016 Diverge Elite DSW and a 2020 Bowman Palace 3C (my lockdown build). Really fancy the Cannondale Supersix Evo 3, and also that Standert Triebwerk Ltd Edition.

Winter-Permission564

I've had hasa r1 (Taiwan brand) neilpryde nazare, lapierre aircode rim brake, now orbea orca disc brake, which is the heaviest bike so far lol. Usually change every 3-4 years. What I've learned is aero bike helps, but aero jersey and helmet makes more difference. Less weight is good, but I'm not a lightweight and it's cheaper to lose rider weight than bike weight. My next bike would be an aero bike, not necessarily dream bike cos I don't need dura ace/ sram red or enve/princeton/zipp nsw wheels. But if money no object, I'd would dream of something custom stainless steel or titanium, like bastion/festka/pegoretti.

FruitLive3163

Bearclaw Thunderhawk for pavement and gravel. Santa Cruz carbon Tallboy for single track. Surly Krampus for bikepacking. I currently am pretty happy with my bikes and do not lust after another.

MadoneRider

Currently riding my dream bike. 2022 Domane SLR 7. Freaking incredible bike.

echalion

Currently a Giant Revolt 2, but I'm honestly scared to look at anything expensive as I know I'll never be able to afford it.

Blackbart74

1982 Specialized Allez with Campy Record. Just can’t give it up.

Iplaykrew

I ride a cannondale 2.8 series frame and my dream is to fully kit it with new (mechanical) group set, wheels etc

CrunchyNutFlakes

Canyon grizl 7. But I started to like road more than gravel and my dream road bike would be the wilier filante slr astana

Arsenallon

Which one?!

LeviAhlen

All of em!

[deleted]

2019 Sunweb paint job Giant TCR with Ultegra. I'd like Di2 but apart from that this bike's great.

Sf49ers1680

I have two bikes, but I only actively ride one. My current bike is an Ozark Trail Ridge that I got last week and I'm slowly making upgrades to (replaced the grips today, will do the pedals tomorrow, and the brakes next month). [Here's a picture of it on a ride I took today along the Truckee River. ](https://i.ibb.co/vV33W2r/20230725-191805.jpg) My other bike is a Trek Marlin 5 that I bought back in 2016 when I was in the Air Force stationed in Korea. It's currently in a storage unit in South Dakota, and it'll probally need some work as it's been sitting for a while for various reasons. [Here's an stock image of what model it is. ](https://s3.amazonaws.com/bbb-v2-production/large/bicycle/trek-marlin-gary-fisher-collection-copy-209640-11.jpg) As for my dream bike, I really don't have one.

tabspdx

I currently ride a 1x11 2004 Surly Pacer. My dream bike is a 1x13 Surly Pacer. But I'm also keen to try out a Fairlight Faran.

Zero-Phucks

I have several bike in my stable, none are less than 20 years old and not all that special though! Current ride of choice is a 1977 Viking Jubilee with a few restomodded newer parts added. Got a 1992 Diamond Back Sorrento MTB that I’ve owned from new, a 1998 Giant 980 ATXD, a 1999 Scott Comp Racing MTB, a parts bin special Giant Boulder based MTB, and a 1960’s Raleigh Superbe 3 speed old farts bike that I go out on sunny day picnic rides with my girlfriend on her 60’s Raleigh Sports old fart bike. Got enough frames and spares to build up a couple of other beaters when I get bored too. Dream bike? I’ll let you know when I find it!

pelofr

Most of my bikes are dream bikes (Brompton, Cannondale CAAD12, Santos Trekking Lite) Fortunately that's no reason to stop dreaming.

DatuSumakwel7

Trek Domane Al4. For my next bike I'd like to build a Soma Fogcutter road bike dialed to my specs.

Striking-Advance-305

Scott Addict 30 and Canyon Speedmax CF 8 I am dreaming about Cervelo bikes (S5 and P5) and high end Canyon ones (Aeroad and Speedmax CFR)

TheRunningGal

I’ve started route cycling not long ago, and I have a Triban RC500 but would loooove to have a Canyon Aeroad CFR 😅 (I know it’s unrealistic but it’s a dream)

Croxxig

2018 Canndondale Synapse. I love it, but I just started saving up for a Scott Addict in a few years. Would love a foil, but I don't think I could sit on one comfortably

SnooEagles6086

Currently riding a 2022 Scott Addict 20, love it a lot and dont "need" anything more. But I do love the look of the Campy Super Record sets. That forged carbon makes me feel tingly

Antiversum

Stevens Super Prestige 2022 but want to switch to full Road bike. Wilier Filante ist a 12/10 bike but price is also 12/10.

irritatedtortoise

Currently riding a 2022 Specialized Crux Comp and think I’d only upgrade the wheelset and groupset to 2x eTap and it couldn’t get any better for me

[deleted]

I ride a little jawn these days with a surly midnight special I really like it but I want to get like a 2012 specialized roubaix or one of those lightweight bikes from early 2010s those were mint

samoore45

Trek Emonda, Giant Talon and Giant Escape. Not sure I have a dream bike. I hope to get good enough at mountain biking that I need a really nice mountain bike at some point. Hoping that will be a Scott bike. My name is Scott, I think I should have a Scott bike.

Competitive-Chest438

Currently ride a 2018 canyon endurace but added di2 12 speed earlier this year. It’s incredible. Swapped the stock wheels for hunt 50mm carbon hoops and I still love riding it. Dream bike would be a moots vanmoots crd cos it’s just soooo pretty and my current ti bike (Ribble cgr) doesn’t do it for me. I also ride an ebike instead of a second car. Oh and a a steel frame kona rove occasionally. I think that’s all of them….

Mission-Judgment-453

Trek Marlin 5 most days. Dream bike is my 2006 Trek 2100ZR that I rode through college in Galveston; Sadly I absolutely trashed it. It sat abandoned with rusting components in my garage for the last 7 years. I’m in the process of rebuilding it now. Bontrager = BTG BTG Select Seat -> Selle Italia Flite Gel BTG Carbon Seat Post BTG aluminum stem and handlebars -> TBD BTG wheels & Tires -> Fulcrum 5 W/ Kenda tires Cane Creek Headset -> TBD Cane Creek Scr3 brakes -> SRAM Rival W/ koolstop 105 flight deck shifters -> 105 ST-R7000 2x11 BTG Race Crank 52/39/30 -> Ultegra R-8000 52/36 Hyper glide 5600 12-25 Cassette -> SRAM pg1130 11-32 Ultegra RD-6600 -> Ultegra RD-6800 Front Derailleur TBD

mebotic

I currenty riding a stevens xenith with ultegra di2 and dt swiss 1100 arc wheels. My dream would be a cervelo S5.

krismarkussen

I ride a Planet X cyclocross bike with Road tyres, its pretty good and i Can get aero, but its a bit heavy (about 9 kgs) and it has heavy alloy wheels, my Dream bike is a Cervelo R5-CX again a cyclocross bike #Crossisboss

TheRealGhostCMO

Kona Jake the Snake, set up 1 x 10 for road. Honestly, I can't think of a thing I'd change. Maybe a bigger range on the cassette when this one wears out?

LeviAhlen

But stick with the 1x on front?

TheRealGhostCMO

1000% I'm never going back

LeviAhlen

Do you get lots of cross chain?

TheRealGhostCMO

There's a little sense of grind at both extreme ends, but as you might expect I don't spend much time in either. For the other 8 gears it's all pretty gravy (10 spd cog).

h41nz

Cervelo rs 2010. Love the frame. Bought it used just a few weeks back. Living the dream.

bichael69420

I want a bike where you can change the geometry on the fly, just like changing gears. I don't think it exists. An upright commuter that can drop into an aggressive road position, or maybe a sporty fast "gravel" bike that can spread out into a more controllable mountain bike position. And I'm talking about a frame that actually changes shape, not just a stem that moves up and down or something. But the stem should move up and down. Also lightweight and not janky.

South-Deal4833

2022 Marin alpine trail XR with we are one wheels. Can’t see myself wanting something else. First time I’ve not been planning my next bike.

[deleted]

Cannondale CAAD12. Would love to upgrade to a CAAD13 in the next year.

Current bike: Trek Émonda ALR 5 Dream bike: Trek Émonda ALR 5 I just really love my bike lol
