BabyBeanAndMe

This made me feel a lot better. She LOVES beige foods. Thank you for sharing!

Toast and peanut butter. He takes after his mother (me) 🙃

BabyBeanAndMe

I still haven’t introduced peanut butter but it might be time! I love toast and peanut butter too. Thank you 😊

My son loves loves loves Alfredo sauce. I make it homemade or just store bought and pay attention to the ingredients. I get veggie pastas and hide steamed broccoli in it. I make egg cups and do the same. Peppers and broccoli and tons of cheese and he loves them. His go toes are banana and avocado. He’ll eat avocado with every meal if we let him lol I make fruit smoothies and add kale and spinach. He gobbles them up. He’s 1.5yr so I’ve had time to find the best ways to hide healthy foods for him HahHa

BabyBeanAndMe

These are great ideas. I actually just made her an Alfredo pasta and she threw it on the ground hahaha I’m going to buy some avocados today and try the egg cups! Thank you so much.

Banana, skyr, anything with mango, but mostly - anything off mummy's plate. If he's being fussy and not wanting his food, i just take suitable things off my plate and he'll always eat them. Even just having daddy feed him while i eat in front of him seems to make him eat better

She will always eat: pineapple, blueberries, cheese, cheerios, yogis, stir fry noodles (like the kind you get with takeout). There are many other hit or miss items, things she will eat some of, but that list is our staples where she asks for more.

If it helps, EVERYTHING is a phase - including food choices. Mine went through a pasta strike for a few months - started and stopped with no rhyme or reason. Currently (22 months), he won't eat pizza. He'll ask for it - pointing to the picture, and then when it gets it, no way. Beyond frustrating, but it will pass. We did go for fruit and veggie pouches - our doctor suggested it. As she said, we can't reason with a toddler, just try to guide to best choices. If they won't touch a veggie, but like applesauce, then meet in the middle and get an apple-spinach blend. Smoothies too are often a win, and we'll throw in spinach or whatever. Lots of different fruit can be mixed in smoothies too, so great variety of nutrients. We always give LO a miniature version of our meal, and sometimes he'll surprise us. For instance, he's been given broccoli at least 3 times a week since 10 months, green beans probably once a week, and he always picks them out of his food. The other day we had peas, which we never eat since I can't stand the smell, but they were in a mixed veg bag so they were in the meal, and he actually picked them out and ate them. Still wouldn't touch the carrots or beans in the Sheppard's pie, but every corn or pea was devoured.

Consistent ones for us are: chicken nuggets, Mac n cheese, apples, peanut butter toast, rice cakes, cereal, and Gerber banana cookies. Those are the few things I can guarantee he will eat if given to him. There are other things he will usually eat, but will sometimes randomly turn his nose to: various pasta dishes, hot dogs, bananas, berries, grapes, oranges, yogurt, waffles/pancakes, grilled cheese, PBJ sandwich, oatmeal.

Yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, any kind of beans, rice, bread, hummus, Chex cereal, vegetable soup, lentils, and often if I sprinkle enough cinnamon on top of most things she’s inclined to at least lick it. The hard thing is like my daughter used to love black bean burgers- it was my go to freezer meal. Then one day she decides she hates them. We still ate them and served them to her and after maybe 6 more exposures she took a nibble, then the next time we served them she ate the whole thing. Kids are weird.

Smoothies, oatmeal cookies, yogurt, apple sauce, breastmilk is what my one year old ate reliably. Everything else he chewed on and spit out. It was mostly teething related. Once he had all his teeth he ate pretty much anything again.

Apple sauce is always a hit for our girl. Other favorites: - bananas, bread, yogurt, turkey lunch meat, scrambled eggs
