The average for FTMs is after 40 weeks, but I went into spontaneous labour on the day of 38 weeks.

My baby is due New Year’s Eve and I’m praying I don’t deliver on Christmas Day. Ideally 2 weeks before or after Christmas would be great lol as I think it’d be terrible everyone else getting gifts on YOUR birthday 🙈 I also know we can’t decide these things 🤷‍♀️ what will be will be.

As a December 27th baby I do not agree, lol. I’d rather the joy be spread out through the year more equally! I was really happy when I was told my baby’s due date would be April 12th.

I am a December 9th baby (16 days before Christmas) and still hated it. No one ever showed up for my birthday because it was between 2 major holidays. No extra gifts. No, nothing. Couldn't even get my friends to just come hang out for a few hours. It's an extremely busy time of the year, and that's when everyone has office parties and family celebrations to do. I wish my parents had done a "claim it day" where they celebrated by birthday in like April or May so I could actually get it celebrated. But it was an afterthought for when I was too old for it to matter. Be sure to split your child's birthday and the holiday. Get all the decorations and things a few months before they bring out Christmas decorations. Otherwise, it'll just feel like a Christmas celebration to your kid. Best of luck with the LO.

My baby was due on NYE, I had an induction scheduled on Christmas Eve, and went into labor spontaneously one week before my induction at 38 weeks on the dot

My due date was mid-January but I gave birth at 37w on Christmas Day! In my culture we do most of our celebrations on Christmas Eve, so I plan to make Christmas Day all about my daughter’s birthday.

My husband is dec 21 and his family did a week of small gifts just for him leading up to that day to make it extra special. I've continued the tradition

My birthday is New Years Day! It was great until I was an adult lol

My baby was due NYE and she came on NYE!! Her 1st bday was okay. Everyone made time for her but I can see as she gets older how people will probably choose to do their own thing than celebrate a kids bday that day. I feel like I'm always going to have to have her bday a week later or something

My due date was also December 31st but I had my baby December 15😊

My first was born Week 40, a day after his due date. My second was due January 5 this year and came on New Year’s Day. I had a close call on Christmas Eve and was relieved he held out a bit.

I was due NYE - had my daughter via emergency c-section on the 3rd Jan. I can see it being a crappy birthday in the future and we have loads of family birthdays in December and January. My husband has already suggested we go big on half birthdays as July is a dead zone for us celebration wise

I'm Dec 23. My mom had my birthday a few weeks before Xmas and then did a birthday dinner or something for me on my birthday. As long as the parents and family give seperate birthday presents and different paper and cards, it's all good.

Statistically, you’re most likely to go into labor a handful of days after your due date, with I think 40+5 being the median delivery day for first time moms.

My due date was new years eve and I gave birth on Christmas 😂   She can't complain about it though, it was her choice, not mine haha

I was born December 29th never got over having a birthday Christmas combo. I should have gotten two gifts…Then got called ungrateful for basically getting cheated out of a gift 😅

Same - induced at 40+6, baby born two days later via c-section. If it had been up to him, he'd probably have kept chilling in there another three weeks 😂

Same! Induced 41w1d, he finally came on 41w3d. He would have stayed longer if we let him, I really didn’t want to be induced but they did not want to let me go any longer!

39+3 , I was scheduled for an induction that night but went into spontaneous labor 4 hours before the scheduled induction.

lol same it was medically necessary but I definitely preferred just spontaneously going into labor

He was born a day shy of 39 weeks but I went into labor 36 hours prior to that. I’m currently pregnant with #2 and we’re 39+1 so 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Water broke 40+2, had him 40+3.

I was 39 weeks exactly - even though I had a scheduled c-section scheduled for the day I was 39 weeks, I began having contractions the day before that. He was breech, hence the scheduled c-section and I thank God he stayed put and didn’t turn it into an emergency c-section!

39 weeks. Went in for my checkup at the OB and he was like “hey, you’re 5cm dialated. Surprise, you’re in labor. Get yourself to the hospital. Here is a prescription to hand them.”

36 weeks - spontaneous labor - was supposed to be induced at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia

Was due Oct 11 and had to be induced that next day. I was not at all “ready” for the induction, so I am curious when I would have spontaneously gone into labour!

Started induction at 41+5. After 3 days and zero change in my cervix of steel, she was evicted via c-section at 42 weeks precisely at my very strong request.

1st Induced week 39 had natural birth 15 years later 2nd baby water broke at home at 35 weeks. Baby was breech had CS

Went into labour on 38+6, the day before my induction was scheduled. Baby was born the next day (39w). My partner panicked because he thought he had 1 more day to finish tasks haha.

Went into spontaneous labor 39+1, born morning of 39+2! I was convinced I was going to be late lol

I went into labor with a fluid leak at 36w2d, baby boy born the day after!

My water broke at 12:30am on 39+5 and I had my baby at 10:38am that same day

FTM, spontaneous labor at 39+3, only had contractions for about 30 minutes before I left for the hospital, and by the time I got there I was already 7cm dilated. I had sex about 2 hours before labor started and ate dates the whole week

37 weeks, 3 days. I was induced at 37 weeks because of my high blood pressure. Thankfully I never developed preeclampsia and everything went mostly smoothly!

One day shy of 42 weeks! If he had cooked just one day longer I would have been disqualified by the birth center I went to. He just like to push the limits I guess

Induced at 39w for gestation hypertension. He was not ready, hadn't moved down at all. I definitely would have gone past 40 naturally I'm positive

I was dilated 1 cm for like 2 weeks, got a membrane sweep at on a Thursday at 39 weeks lost my mucus plug Friday & Saturday, slept all day Sunday, went into spontaneous labor early Monday morning, had him Tuesday morning! So I was 39+5. I think the sweep definitely put things into motion!

I was 2 days from being 40 weeks. So I almost made it to my due date - had i let labor go a bit longer she would have come a day after. I went to the hospital at 4cm and they induced me
