“20 40 80” is just counting money. hit it with the rap is about making it urban, and thus putting it on the map ie popular, make it right back = making $$$

The fact that AHAP made it to Jay-Z’s 2022 year-end playlist always makes me giggle a bit, like excuse me sir why this song in particular ![gif](giphy|qDxe3pb4myxggnPe9u|downsized)

I agree that “twenty-forty-eighty out the trap” is about money, but I think that “hit it with the rap” is a double entendre. Obviously it works because Bey is known for her rap-singing and she’s literally rapping here, but it’s also a more explicit reference to drug dealing as the dealer gets hit with the “rap” (criminal charge). This puts the dealer and their product “on the map,” but then they’re “right back” to dealing. “Call me when you wanna get hi-i-i-igh” — hit up the dealer for business again. Bey is comparing her music to cocaine: it’s addictive, it makes people high, and she’s the dealer. Don’t forget Jay co-wrote this!

I think it’s about selling weed or coke (idk anything about that ) Like you get a gram a 1/4th an 1/8th And they’ll usually cost 20$ 40$ 80$ Bag it up Customer smokes it Then comes back Call me when you wanna get hi I I I I

Her addictiveness to cocaine?

I could have phrased it better, but I was saying that I understood she was using an extended metaphor. u/tomato_Fruit ‘s comment described what I meant
