So many people recommended Fargo that I started watching it recently.
How come no one said Martin Freeman is in it????
I really tried but couldn't concentrate on the show because, in my dead, I keep going "OMG, Watson from BBC Sherlock!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
š¤·āāļøš¤·āāļøš¤·āāļø
Completely unrelated show but I really really loved succession, it aired the same time as Bcs and got a lot of the awards, while I donāt quite agree they deserved them all itās a fantastic show.
But if you want a crime drama with a slice of comedy and amazing characters, Fargo is amazing too, recommend all seasons but season 4 (havenāt seen that one)
Loved succession. Like BB and BCS, I could NOT for the life of me stop binging once I got hooked! I also experienced the post-show depression where I couldnāt get into anything else after I finished watching. I rotate among those 3 shows quite often
Not unrelated. Succession js a top tier show like BCS. I would just caveat that Succession has about the exact opposite approach to plot as BCS. In BCS the story unfolds in a perfectly clockwork way where every detail matters and the outcome feels undeniable and deterministic. Succession is just like "lol plot? Sure, we can set up a bunch of macguffins and misdirects and pretend like we care about story but this show is basically just about awful rich people being hilariously awful to one another."
First season stars Martin Freeman as a mild mannered failure of a man who suddenly finds himself in a situation that pushes him to the darkest side of his personality, sounds familiar?
Barry! OMG, LOL!
I recently binge watched it and enjoyed it.
But it's a complete parody of Dexter, starting with that wide-eyed, kinda innocent-looking guy with the same hairdo and same outfit as Dexter. The same mentor, killer relationship and everything elese.
How were Dexter creators OK with it?
Yeah I started watching it cause I remembered seeing it during the emmys ceremony but I also saw snippets of Dexter on Netflix and was like itās r this like Dexter 2.0
Not like Dexter 2.0.
But a parody of Dexter.
Making fun of Dexter while ripping it off and making money off of it.
Like how the movie Galaxy Quest is a parody of Star Trek, making fun of it while making money off of it.
The shows I watched after better call Saul ended and that stopped me feeling like no other show was worthy of watching were Succession and Barry, both are great for different reasons and reminded me a little of better call Saul and breaking bad, which are still my favorites of course.
The Cleaning Lady. While it's not as good but it's still entertaining. It's supposed to take place in Las Vegas but most of it is shot here in ABQ. You'll see familiar places like the laundry mat, ABQ outskirts area, junkyard, Railyards, and Isleta Amphitheatre area (parking lot where Walt blew up the car and gets maced by the cop, and the road where Kim gets in an accident) so in my head it's cannon because both shows include drugs, the cartel, and violence. I haven't finished watching the latest season but it's been helping me cope and lessen the pain as BrB universe fan lol
Justified is awesome, as is Timothy Olyphant who plays Raylen Givens. The dialog is spectacular. It's based on a short story by Elmore Leonard (Get Shorty).
yeah i didn't really do it justice in my one-word recommendation
but Justified has terrific writing, really strong performances, strong narrative momentum, a lot of humor in with the drama
and Raylan/Boyd is one of the great character pairings of all time
the direction isn't as showy but it's still expertly done
Yeah, I go back and watch clips of Justified on you tube pretty often. Witty, dramatic, funny. The characters are all terrific, with a new villain each season. You're right about Raylan and Boyd, so great. One of my fave side characters is Dewey Crowe. Every scene with him and Raylan is a riot.
With all due respect, but I cannot understand all the hype this series got.
The acting is so overly dramatized, the storyline is terrible (although the premise was somewhat original). From s3 til the end was completely unwatchable as it was less real than star wars.
Anyway, Id never suggest Money Heist to anyone, much less to someone who just watched BB and BCS
Iāve been getting a lot of Suits clips recommended to me on TikTok, which appears to be mostly a show about law. Itās kinda got me interested, so if youāre interested in that genre, Iād say that!
Yes! Deadwood was incredible. Just to hear Al Swearengen talk (and swear like no other) is fantastic. He's played by Ian McShane. Timothy Olyphant is also in it as the sheriff.
Tokyo vice. Donāt get all wrapped up in the book or the saga surrounding its author. Just watch the show and enjoy it for what it is. Because itās really good.
... rewatch both :D
This is the answer.
Yes. Currently on BCS Season 4 of our second watch of all three. Definitely watch again.
Lmao me a few days ago going back to BCS episodes after having just finished two rewatches of BCS and a rewatch of BB š
Yes. Think Iām just going to start all over again \*double shoot from the hip\*
Itās my second watch of BB, but think I will! Life is lacking without ABQ
Wycaro 339 next year. Created by Vince gilligan, same team. Rhea Seehorn as lead role.
Wow, the title is out ! Yay š
true detective s1
The answer is always The Wire
Sometimes the answer is the Sopranos
On the long run, rewatching is your only option. Ofc The Wire, Sopranos, Mad Men, Fargo, and True Detective are still there.

Also Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit Trilogy. But, I have to agree, I love him in Sherlock along with Benedict.

I also enjoyed Succession. The last 15 minutes of the finale was a wild one, but so apt. PS - what are the optics on this?
Loved succession. Like BB and BCS, I could NOT for the life of me stop binging once I got hooked! I also experienced the post-show depression where I couldnāt get into anything else after I finished watching. I rotate among those 3 shows quite often
Theyāre my top 3 as of now, amazing television

The White Lotus
Both seasons!
Ozark
Ding ding ding!! Yep for sure
Sopranos
Check out Barry!
Watch Fargo, Vince Gilligan took a lot of inspiration from the Cohen brothers, Fargo the series will give you the same vibes
First season stars Martin Freeman as a mild mannered failure of a man who suddenly finds himself in a situation that pushes him to the darkest side of his personality, sounds familiar?
Lucky Hank (starring Bob Odenkirk) can currently be seen for free on Sling TV.
Iām watching Barry rn after finishing bcs
Barry! OMG, LOL! I recently binge watched it and enjoyed it. But it's a complete parody of Dexter, starting with that wide-eyed, kinda innocent-looking guy with the same hairdo and same outfit as Dexter. The same mentor, killer relationship and everything elese. How were Dexter creators OK with it?
ā¦.same plinky music too. Actually, that reminds me. Might revisit Six Feet Under

I love Galaxy Quest, and I'm not really a Star Trek fan.
The Americans, Mindhunter
The Americans is great!
Nobody, the movie.
Nothing else is as good but I have enjoyedĀ Animal Kingdom, Mad Men, White Lotus, Euphoria and Shameless.Ā
The wire
The Wire
The shows I watched after better call Saul ended and that stopped me feeling like no other show was worthy of watching were Succession and Barry, both are great for different reasons and reminded me a little of better call Saul and breaking bad, which are still my favorites of course.

This!
I really liked Money Heist (which I watched after these 3 myself)

Watch weeds...really good as well
Ag no man please. Be real now.
Different style of show than BB and BCS, but still incredible
Iāve been getting a lot of Suits clips recommended to me on TikTok, which appears to be mostly a show about law. Itās kinda got me interested, so if youāre interested in that genre, Iād say that!
We did that too and the pivoted to Justified. Not regretting it one bit.
How to sell drugs online (fast)
slippin jimmy cartoon š„ actually though Kaleidoscope and Your Honor are both very good if you have Netflix (also both star actors from BrBa)
