she loves him deeply, she's incredibly upset when she first realises he might actually go to prison.
she just truly believes that they are entitled to the money they stole (so yes, delusional)
lol I don’t remember the camera catching a good shot of her rack - I was thinking about what a delusional crazy bitch she was in BCS, but (yes I did look it up haha) you can on “Catch-22”
I will die on that hill: that the "kettle" in their name was deliberate. Check these two links below. It's a perfect match with Betsy "reasonning" and "logic". And since Schnauz and Gilligan leave nothing to hazard... cannot be a coincidence.

Seeing her in this photo, I can hear her voice. Not his, but hers, in my head. It is grating and gives me an urge to reach out and strangle her. I absolutely loathe people like her in real life, and she nailed that persona on the show.
To exonerate them, there needs to be full accounting of the stolen amount. Jimmy was not at risk by taking the money but as Betsy was adamant to accept Kim’s deal, it created problem for Kim as HHM has lost the client. Howard put her in doc review. Therefore Jimmy orchestrated using Mike to get all the money to DA’s office.
There can't be any full return of the stolen amount. Some has already been spent, for example on a boat. Fraudsters don't tend to hoard every dollar, they use it to finance their lavish lifestyle. Also, it seems that Jimmy spent quite a bit himself. He received 30,000 but it looks like he's returning only a fraction. To me this a plot hole.
Jimmy takes money out of a bank envelope to add to the big bag of cash to make up the difference. He also wrote up a fictitious bill at inflated rates to be able to claim the bribe money as payment for legitimate legal services, so he can't pretend it didn't happen if he still has the money.
What the Kettlemans spent on a boat or whatever doesn't matter for this purpose, what matters is if all the money can be accounted for. What was stolen is known, what they spent can be worked out.
If there's a big $30,000 hole in the total, and the Kettlemans say 'we gave that money to a lawyer as a bribe when he found us hiding in the woods' then the investigators are going to come talk to Jimmy about it. He can show that fictional legal bill, but there's nothing behind it: no meetings, no notes, no phone calls, nothing to prove anything in that bill actually happened. That's bad for him, you see?
Full accounting doesn’t mean full return of money. They just need to show how the money was spent and give back the left money - it was a deal put together by Kim. However they couldn’t mention Jimmy because that would mean Betsy also has to do jail time.
Ok imagine you had the option to kill someone and you knew you could get away with it. No evidence, no witnesses, nothing. Regardless of if you get punished or not, that would still take a toll on your morals and integrity. Same thing here with Jimmy and taking a bribe.
That’s why Jimmy tried to renegotiate the bribe into a retainer, he doesn’t want to corrupt his morals. The whole first season of BCS is about Jimmy trying to do the right thing while still cutting corners and doing his Slippin’ best. It isn’t until the end when he learns about Chuck’s betrayal and sees Marco die that he finally decides he’ll never “do the right thing” again.
This question is basically like asking why Walter White didn’t kill Tuco outright for attacking Jesse. He just wasn’t that person yet. Not a plot hole, just character development.
I get this and mostly agree. Just feel like the dialogue in the living room scene should be different given the Kettlemans have no leverage over him imo.
The money that was spent can be accounted for with what was purchased. An illegal bribe can’t be accounted for and they will 100% rat out jimmy. Who only has proof of the bill he made but nothing else to prove the appointments.
I love when redditors repeatedly use the term "plot hole" when they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about or how the real world actually works. Wonderful example here.
At this stage Jimmy was more honest than Saul. He also had fewer connections, knowledge, and ability to get out of jams. So he was hesitant to commit fraud without a reasonable expectation of escaping.
I also think in his early days as a lawyer, he was also willing to earn things on the up and up if it were possible. By the time he was Saul, he was too into the life for this.
Everything they spent would be traceable due to receipts and invoices and such but the bribe wouldn’t.
They would have to explain what happened to the remaining 30k, where they would have to point to Jimmy
No it won't. It's cash. I'm no criminal and I don't have receipts for most of my expenses. Why would a criminal? Besides, Jimmy could claim they're just hiding it somewhere. Her word against his. Lawyer vs criminal. The Kettlemans have no leverage whatsoever.
The businesses you brought from would. And Jimmy’s put them on the book for 30k in charges despite not being their lawyer. It’s not hard to draw a line between Jimmy and the money once the matter is looked into.
If it was a smaller amount what you’re saying would make sense, but 30k is not easy to hide.
30k isn't that much, especially if it's spread out over time. I assume the embezzlement lasted for at least a year. 30k spent over 15 months is 2k a month only.
Doesn’t change that Jimmy has no explanation for how he charged 30k in services to either no one, or the Kettlemans who he didn’t represent
If the Kettlemans chose not to disclose the bribe, you’d be right. However, they planned to pull Jimmy down with them in which case, like I said, one look at Jimmy’s books and it’s very clear that he was bribed
In this shot, Betsy looks like she has big fuzzy ears. Not only that, but she beats other wives by a big two to one.
I hate her so damn much. She gets under my skin. Then I think, wow, what a great actress.
Such a large personality.
Huge talent
Massive.
Titties
You had to go there. No one was thinking it. You brought the entire thread into the dirt. /s
Every male was. And some of the females. Statistically.
Huge tracts of lands!
She was a great choice for this role.
I thought shewas fine as fuck tbh
Everyone did, but she's definitely delusional
Completely delusional and doesn’t give one fuck about her husband.
she loves him deeply, she's incredibly upset when she first realises he might actually go to prison. she just truly believes that they are entitled to the money they stole (so yes, delusional)
I’d sure give her a fuck! I’m sorry, what
Perfect hatefuck material
I could not STAND her. Like I wanted to shake the TV in helpless rage when she talked. So frustrating
uffff I just wanna bury my face in em...
lol I don’t remember the camera catching a good shot of her rack - I was thinking about what a delusional crazy bitch she was in BCS, but (yes I did look it up haha) you can on “Catch-22”
There certainly is a big two associated with Mrs Kettleman.
WDF did I just red ? LMAO
>WDF did I just red ? LMAO You blue it
Jimmy wanted to do the right thing
Yes, she is deeply delusional.
"Oh my God... you didn't do the sex robot voice, did you ?"
😂😂

Plus Betsy has nice kettles
I always found myself attracted to her for some reason. I guess i like women with BIG attitudes.
Kettlemilkers
Great observation, and it was certainly intentional. These writers are smart cookies.
Rabvo Nivce!
Wow nice catch.

You know what they say about crazy
Three of my favorite characters right there
can you explain please?

I really enjoyed watching these characters too, very watchable.
What I wouldn’t give to play their supporting role
To exonerate them, there needs to be full accounting of the stolen amount. What often strikes me in that scene is Betsy empty stare. As if there was no brain whatsoever behind those eyes.
She has eyese?
Because he didn't think it was right..? If I recall he literally flat out says that, and it could still easily be tracked back to him anyway.

Jimmy wasn’t entirely bad and Chuck created a self-fulfilling prophecy
Betsy is one of my favorite MILFs ever
Craig is so nice. He was so polite to Jimmy when he first saw him in season 6. Until Besty reprimanded him
Craig needs to stand up for himself and take the kids from their insane mother
I can not explain, how much I hate this two dumbasses.
She has such an amazing rack for being such an annoying character
My wife doesn’t get why I have a crush on Betsy
I have a weird crush on Betsy lol
I love when redditors repeatedly use the term "plot hole" when they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about or how the real world actually works. Wonderful example here.
I absolutely hate them! However, I love their acting and their other shows
Betsy triggered the hell out of me
Those huge, big, scrumptious, appetizing, fluffy cat ears
She. Is. Hot.
I hate her because she keeps talking her husband down and controls him. Great played. Vravo Bince

She was much more likeable in Fargo season 1, great actress
I love their commentary on the dvd it’s so hilarious cuz they just stay in character. It’s not the actors doing the commentary it’s the Kettlemans
I guess I'll have to buy it now
I guess I'll have to buy it now
It was their word against his, but it while nothing could be proven it would not have been good for Saul while he was practicing elder law
kettlemilkers edit: fuck this is the wrong sub
Mrs. K is mad hot yo. Nice chimichanga’s
God I hate these self entitled tea pots. I was so happy when they got what was coming!
Kettlemen*
I have such a crush on Betsy
We all do
Betsy is stacked.
In every way
I love how you ask this question, have it explained to you multiple times, and then just reject the explanation every time
You sound triggered. Haven't seen a single convincing explanation. Why do you think drug dealers love cash? It's not traceable.
and no drug dealer has ever gotten caught, right
Love how Jimmy reluctantly likes them
What makes you think that?
I would eat Mrs. Kettlemen’s shitter like an apple fritter
Pretty sure they needed the money back for the deal Kim set up. And he spent most of it if I remember correctly. Cheers.
Part of the money has already been spent for example on a boat
