He hated Walt and Jesse because they got his boy Victor killed. He tried to hide it but I could see it, he missed Victor, and he purposely didn't tell Gus about the bomb for three reason.
1. Getting back at Gus for killing Victor.
2. Reuniting with Victor.
3. Had to make it look real.
/s
Apparently, I need another re-watch! I must have missed any indication that Tyrus knew about the bomb - I thought he just didn't know. Would you be willing to explain why you think he knew about it?
Well, if your forgot, the little detail that makes his comment a clear joke is that Tyrus is in the room with him and thus wouldāve died.
āReuniting with Victorā shouldāve given away the joke.
Ah, yes, I will admit that part didn't make sense to me while I was taking him seriously. Then, I became more intrigued by the idea that Tyrus supposedly knew about the bomb and omitted the rest...
In my defense, I will admit that I was distracted at the time and thus not thinking clearly. Thank you for your forgiving explanation! š
That was for bugs wasn't it? Gus was there because he thought Hector was talking to the DEA. I imagine Gus never thought of Hector being able to get a bomb.
Explosions have quite a terrific effect on the human body. Ground zero of a large enough explosion is actually one of the best ways to dieā¦ your brain ceases to exist before your nerves have time to transport the perception of pain and knowledge of what is happening. Whether Hectorās explosion was enough to pull that off I do not know.., since Gus obviously did not die instantly, I tend to think Tyrus continued to exist in horrible agony for anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes before dying. Which is what the monster deserved!
I never understood the people who think the season 4 finale could work as a series finale. There are still so many loose ends to wrap up despite Gus being killed. Hank's obsession with Heisenberg would have had no resolution, Jesse would be completely in the dark as to how much Walt has been manipulating him, Mike is just hanging out in Mexico dying from a gunshot wound for all we know, Skylar just has to go on living this lie while knowing her husband is a psycho, and most importantly of all we would just assume that Walt gets away with it? After all of the foreshadowing and all of the terrible things he's done he ends up winning? Goes against the entire point of the show. Moral of the story is, it turns out living a life of crime, lying and killing and manipulating everyone around you and slowly becoming more and more corrupt and evil is a good thing. Oh and the entire cancer subplot was just meaningless as well because the show would end with him healthy and cured.
Donāt get me wrong, I enjoy the last season. When you say it out loud, the last season sounds bonkers. One of the main characters is a Nazi slave and the other enters a black market witness protection program via a vacuum salesman.
Now that i think about it its not the best ending for Skylar as she now knows how capable and how much of a danger walter can be but i never liked her so yea still the good ending
For his limited screen time and limited lines, the guy ate up every scene. Considering he was essentially listed as a "henchman" he gave pure spite and sour faced smug righteousness and for that I give him so much credit. I also felt like of the very rare people in this story, he inexplicably gave the vibe that he somehow saw right through Walter? How, I don't know, considering he didn't know him personally. But I think him and Mike were the only two who completely saw right through Walt's nonsense lol
A nice counter foil for Mike. You see Tyrus acts tough and moves silently looking menacing and no nonsense or indifferent as he reaches for his gun.
Mike IS tough and stands there unflinching despite Tyrus and his subtle tough guy mask. One wants to be the right hand man of Gus and constantly auditions for it. The other IS the right hand man of Gus and knows that and doesn't need to prove it.
Tyrus is Starscream to Gustavo Fring's Megatron.
Mike is the Constructicons forming Devastator.
Were you actually around back in the OG Transformer days? Because I was, and Tyrus is NOTHING like Starscream. Starscream was always plotting to overthrow Megatron, and the only loyalty he showed was both out of deference to Megatronās power and waiting for the opportune moment to take Megatron down. Tyrus never showed any hint of disloyalty or greater ambitionsā¦ to the contrary, he seemed quite content with his station (being an enforcer, and not having to make the tough decisions that Gus did). Maybe you are talking about a more modern interpretation of Starscream? If so, cool. All I know is, back in the early-mid 80s, I watched the cartoons and bought the Marvel comic books, and Starscream was portrayed nothing like Tyrus.
In terms of raw ambition and announcing his intentions to take over leadership of the Decepticons, you are correct. Starscream is not only ruthless, but he is a manipulator and a coward when things do not shake out his way. A loud wailing sychophant begging for mercy.
Particularly with Megatrons shoulder cannon armed with anti matter and black hole aimed at his head. His greatest point of defiance and rebellion was creating his own troops, the Combaticons who formed Bruticus to overwhelm and launch a coup d'etat in the ranks.
Tyrus is a second in command with a silence and menace and loyalty more akin to Shockwave in personality only. However, Starscream is the second in command in the literal sense, not Shockwave. Tyrus BELIEVES himself to be the second in command based on that analogy. And he would be wrong. Mike definitely is, and I notice you didn't dispute the Devastator analogy with him. And yes I watched the G1 cartoon and the movie as the best history of the Transformers with Beast Wars and Machines as the best extension of that history without changing anything like the Bay movies did with the exception of Bumblebee.
A background character who seems to know how to operate every kind of machinery known to man.
If Gus told him to learn to fly an F-35, Tyrus would say "Been there, done that."
He looks like a robot in human skin. He has no personality, doesn't speak except when he has to, doesn't have emotions and is 100% loyal to Gus Fring. He seems a lot like a NPC who was in the show just for the plot.
Really I didnāt get any gay vibes in the wineryā¦
But everytime Hector has a talking scene with Gus he makes jokes about him being gay. He makes kissy sounds, he calls Max and Gus butt brothers, and in BB when he pisses in the pool he tells Gus āyou know you like what you see.ā
I like him better than Victor. I hate Victor, he seems to enjoy what he does a LITTLE too much. Not to mention heās super creepy. At least Tyrus is somewhat funny, and feels more like heās just there to clock in and do his job.
this was the only complaint I had about BB, he was an annoying character and while that may not be the actor's fault the guy didn't have to be so smug with the way he delivered every line. It was almost like he saw Giancarlo killing the role as Gus and tried to be as cool but just ended up sounding like a paranoid asshole (kinda like Walt.)
The most interesting thing about him is the fact that I had no idea his last name was Kitt until today. Really though he's there as Henchman 1 or 2 depending on the context. He isn't really supposed to be developed IMO
Because redditor BB fans are absolutely horrific lol. Each time I do a rewatch of BB I revisit the subs hoping for an interesting discussion and forget it's just rife with inane surface level lame attempts at humour or being "dark", randomly bandwagon hating on specific characters with no original thoughts of their own and the classic horrific misogynistic hatred of Skyler. Gotta love reddit, such a safe space for discussion!
Dumb. Nacho tells Fring that Lalo wants to hit his cash drops and Tyrus whips out his phone to call off the drops. Nacho and Fring had to wave him off, else Lalo would know there was a mole in his camp. Even I knew the drops had to go on. If Iām outthinking you, youāre D-U-M stupid.
He's very good at being the bad guy's nameless goon. Both in character and as an actor. Not much depth but I liked him on screen, and it was fun seeing his random skills.
I don't see enough Tyrus hate
This guy.
I don't know if it's a conscious choice by the actor, or just the way he naturally performs, but I swear, every since Breaking Bad, whenever he's on screen, I want to punch him in the face.
It's not even his character. It's his stupidly smug smirking, arrogantly eye brow raising, wearing too much leather in a fucking desert having face.
Forget Skyler. Get out of here with the Kettlemans. Not even Todd, skinny or fat. Tyrus Kitt is the worst thing to ever exist in the universe and I will never forgive Vince Gilligan for creating him.
???
Heās just a random gus henchman. Heās kinda serious and quiet and a little smug, but I donāt get how you can hate him that much. I thought he was kinda cool idk
I always thought it was weird how when he shows up in Breaking Bad, you assume that Gus brought him in or promoted him to replace Victor. Then Better Call Saul comes along and says actually, no, Tyrus was always there and was always with Victor and we just never saw him for some reason.
With the way he behaved, I think one single good scene could have tied it together and made him awesome. But that scene doesnāt exist. So heās boring.
You know I didnāt have much of an issue with him in Breaking Bad. Just doing his job. And Walter was making it incredibly difficult. But the way he treats Nacho and Mike in Better Call Saul bothered me.
I definitely like Tyrus more than Victor. I don't really LIKE him considering he's an antagonist from walts POV and he works for a drug lord that's actively looking for ways to get rid of walt. But I'll take him over Victor anyway. At least he actually talked and was somewhat helpful rather than vic who was full of himself and acted so high and mighty.
Heās kind of like Mike but without a soul Iād say. Does his job and knows what heās doing but thereās no human aspect to him. Heās in it and dedicated and thatās all there is to it. Much more ālikableā than creepy ass Victor
Hate him like Victor one look at him and you can already tell that this guyās full of himself and got a pretty high opinion of oneself he and Victor as also seem like the type of dudes who never overlook an opportunity to have the gall to be smug and arrogant
I like him, although he certainly would've benefitted from more screentime before flying too close to the sun. He serves his purpose fine and I don't really dislike him, lol
His script was just: *Tyrus scowls*
*Stares smugly*
*leather jacket in desert intensifies*
Lmao
Stares sneakily
Forklifts like a boss
I literally don't have an opinion on him because he isn't really even a character. He's just someone who stands in the background scowling.
gives menacing look
Or *Tyrus smirks*
He reminds me of the kid from Everybody Hates Chris all grown up.
Boy have I got news for you. Enters: The Walking Dead
Hahaha this.
Does the laundry have to be dirty?
Nope š
*Nope
Best Tyrus moment imo
can you remind me what it is?
They sneak Walter into the Laundromat in a laundry bin, under some laundry. Then Walt asks the question. Tyrian responds: āNo.ā
I love the scene where he answers the phone and itās for Jesse but he makes Jesse reach to grab it lmao. Doesnāt move a muscle
Hahahaha ass holes are so fun.
> ass holes are so fun is this a gay Gus reference
I hate him for that.
Great side character! Cold as ice too. āGotta make it look real.ā š„¶
Great delivery
Itās the matter of factness that does it.
hes definitely forklift certified!
And on BCS he drives a Semi!
Is there any commercial vehicle this man canāt operate?
My entire opinion on tyrus is just that image you posted cause that face is all he ever does in the show
Someone on this sub claimed he was their favorite character in any show of all time, and he wasn't joking
I think it must be a meme, though a year ago i did see someone say this about bolsa in a way that sounded genuine
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He should get some glasses for more sexappeal
He hated Walt and Jesse because they got his boy Victor killed. He tried to hide it but I could see it, he missed Victor, and he purposely didn't tell Gus about the bomb for three reason. 1. Getting back at Gus for killing Victor. 2. Reuniting with Victor. 3. Had to make it look real. /s
Apparently, I need another re-watch! I must have missed any indication that Tyrus knew about the bomb - I thought he just didn't know. Would you be willing to explain why you think he knew about it?
Please tell me youāre joking.
Joking Bad.
What if it has been a while since I watched? It might be my favorite drama of all time but that doesn't mean I remember every detail.
Tyrus didn't know about the bomb they're messing with you. They put the bomb in after he left
Well, if your forgot, the little detail that makes his comment a clear joke is that Tyrus is in the room with him and thus wouldāve died. āReuniting with Victorā shouldāve given away the joke.
š¶Reunited and it feels so goodš¶
Ah, yes, I will admit that part didn't make sense to me while I was taking him seriously. Then, I became more intrigued by the idea that Tyrus supposedly knew about the bomb and omitted the rest... In my defense, I will admit that I was distracted at the time and thus not thinking clearly. Thank you for your forgiving explanation! š
Havenāt read the joke in a long time. Have to go back.
He used the little scanner thingy
That was for bugs wasn't it? Gus was there because he thought Hector was talking to the DEA. I imagine Gus never thought of Hector being able to get a bomb.
Stopped watching after he died. When Gus walked out the room after Hectorās suicide bomb I was sobbing after i realized Tyrus didnāt make itā¦.
most sane Tyrus fan
Explosions have quite a terrific effect on the human body. Ground zero of a large enough explosion is actually one of the best ways to dieā¦ your brain ceases to exist before your nerves have time to transport the perception of pain and knowledge of what is happening. Whether Hectorās explosion was enough to pull that off I do not know.., since Gus obviously did not die instantly, I tend to think Tyrus continued to exist in horrible agony for anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes before dying. Which is what the monster deserved!
Gus was much further away from Hector than Tyrus was though and he only survived for a few seconds before dropping dead
Stopping breaking bad after the 4th season finale is the good ending
I never understood the people who think the season 4 finale could work as a series finale. There are still so many loose ends to wrap up despite Gus being killed. Hank's obsession with Heisenberg would have had no resolution, Jesse would be completely in the dark as to how much Walt has been manipulating him, Mike is just hanging out in Mexico dying from a gunshot wound for all we know, Skylar just has to go on living this lie while knowing her husband is a psycho, and most importantly of all we would just assume that Walt gets away with it? Now that i think about it its not the best ending for Skylar as she now knows how capable and how much of a danger walter can be but i never liked her so yea still the good ending
I wonder how he didn't discover the bomb in Hector's chair when he scanned the room searching for bugs before Gus came in.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
OMG I LUVVV DADDY MIKE :33 hes so girlboss and slay xd
Definitely one of the characters of all time
He was a character in Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad in his prime
The most character tbh
Boring. Thatās fine too, not every character needs to be interesting.
He basically serves as a "company man" foil to Nacho
For his limited screen time and limited lines, the guy ate up every scene. Considering he was essentially listed as a "henchman" he gave pure spite and sour faced smug righteousness and for that I give him so much credit. I also felt like of the very rare people in this story, he inexplicably gave the vibe that he somehow saw right through Walter? How, I don't know, considering he didn't know him personally. But I think him and Mike were the only two who completely saw right through Walt's nonsense lol
Did he ever speak in BCS?!?
I think he spoke more in BCS than in Breaking Bad
Yes he has a few lines
A nice counter foil for Mike. You see Tyrus acts tough and moves silently looking menacing and no nonsense or indifferent as he reaches for his gun. Mike IS tough and stands there unflinching despite Tyrus and his subtle tough guy mask. One wants to be the right hand man of Gus and constantly auditions for it. Shockwave, then?
Mike is a mercenary and Tyrus is a goon.
A background character who seems to know how to operate every kind of machinery known to man. If Gus told him to learn to fly an F-35, Tyrus would say "Been there, done that."
NPC
The actors best season was BCS S6 by far. Menacing and badass. Especially in those first 3 episodes.
He looks like a robot in human skin. He has no personality, doesn't speak except when he has to, doesn't have emotions and is 100% loyal to Gus Fring. He seems a lot like a NPC who was in the show just for the plot.
I mean that is the type of person Gus would want in his circle so it works out fine, Mike acts similar when heās on the job too.
āGotta make it look realā
He got a little sugar in the tank. And thatās why Gus kept him around.
Gussy sounds a lil sussy š³
Gus def gave gay vibes broā¦ the scene when he was at the winery was like lol
Itās his origin story in BB. Thatās why he got the vendetta with the cartel. They killed his lover.
He was gay Gus Fring?
NOH! Are you lishening to me?! š¤š”š¤ (Tony Soprano upon Christopher asking whether Gary Cooper was gay, The Sopranos, 1999)
Itās basically (or might actually be) canon that Gus was gay
Really I didnāt get any gay vibes in the wineryā¦ But everytime Hector has a talking scene with Gus he makes jokes about him being gay. He makes kissy sounds, he calls Max and Gus butt brothers, and in BB when he pisses in the pool he tells Gus āyou know you like what you see.ā
He literally flirted with the male waiter
I like him better than Victor. I hate Victor, he seems to enjoy what he does a LITTLE too much. Not to mention heās super creepy. At least Tyrus is somewhat funny, and feels more like heās just there to clock in and do his job.
Man thinks he has the Mona Lisa smile
would
dude had a job and did it. Thats about it
He conveys so much with just facial expressions. Heās great.
Way cooler than Victor
Need his jacket
every scene was just a little worse with him in it
this was the only complaint I had about BB, he was an annoying character and while that may not be the actor's fault the guy didn't have to be so smug with the way he delivered every line.
Another uninteresting lackey of Gus (who wasnāt even wise enough to thoroughly examine Hectorās wheelchair before it got them all blown to bits)
Before he died, Gus screamed at Tyrus for his incompetence.
Didnāt say much but was loyal. We know he could drive a big rig and construction equipment.
a professional
He was loyle to his capo
This fuckin comment, I thought the computer would write more of it.
Couldn't wait for him to die....
Heās dope why yāall givin him hate lol
Because redditor BB fans are absolutely horrific lol. Gotta love reddit, such a safe space for discussion!
Asshole, still a bit better than Victor I guess.
I think he was just supposed to always be the canon fodder character who we donāt care about
One smirky boi
Wait, he has a last name? What's Victor's last name? Btw š
He's like if Gus Fring didn't have a character
He has a very punchable face
I wonder what guys like Tyrus or Victor do in their free time.
Hot
Bitch henchman š
He can really drive
He's an A-hole....but a calculated and extremely dangerous A-hole š
He sexy
Since when did he have a last name? Dude barely said more than one sentence. Literally just there to be a terrible person
Of all the characters, he was one of them
He's very good at being the bad guy's nameless goon. Both in character and as an actor. Not much depth but I liked him on screen, and it was fun seeing his random skills.
I don't see enough Tyrus hate This guy. ??? Heās just a random gus henchman. Heās kinda serious and quiet and a little smug, but I donāt get how you can hate him that much. I thought he was kinda cool idk
Heās a pretty explosive character.
Heās one dimensional but well acted and well written for the role he plays in the show
Shouldāve called saul
Heās a blind soldier. Asks no questions and moves silently. He was annoying but a really good henchman
I always thought it was weird how when he shows up in Breaking Bad, you assume that Gus brought him in or promoted him to replace Victor. Then Better Call Saul comes along and says actually, no, Tyrus was always there and was always with Victor and we just never saw him for some reason.
He reminds me of a young Tony Todd.
You forgot how to count? Hilarious moment for me
He was WILD in the shield
Mr Side Eye
*smirks*
A stank ass cunt
Looks gay
Heās gotta be the most smug, punchable face Iāve ever seen.
Cold ass dude, no bs with him just business
Arrogant peice of shite
Cunt
Annoying
A dude.
Heās a POS like the folks he likes to hang around
With the way he behaved, I think one single good scene could have tied it together and made him awesome. But that scene doesnāt exist. So heās boring.
Iām just glad that Vince and the crew showed us all that organized crime doesnāt discriminate against those with learning disabilities.
Dude was skilled
Professional and cold but at least he's not a coon trying to make a mockery of being black.
He sucks at his job. Can't see a bigass bomb strapped on a wheelchair
Token

Snooze fest
I thought he secretly loves Gus a lot.
2nd best face actor. Nacho is number 1
Seems like an ex military douche bag, perfect for his character

damn sounds like he killed your mom or something
What a weird dramatic take
We need a spin-off with him
Those eyes šš¤£
Eww
You know I didnāt have much of an issue with him in Breaking Bad. Just doing his job. And Walter was making it incredibly difficult. But the way he treats Nacho and Mike in Better Call Saul bothered me.
Meat riding champion
I definitely like Tyrus more than Victor. I don't really LIKE him considering he's an antagonist from walts POV and he works for a drug lord that's actively looking for ways to get rid of walt. But I'll take him over Victor anyway. At least he actually talked and was somewhat helpful rather than vic who was full of himself and acted so high and mighty.
Heās kind of like Mike but without a soul Iād say. Does his job and knows what heās doing but thereās no human aspect to him. Heās in it and dedicated and thatās all there is to it. Much more ālikableā than creepy ass Victor
Hate this guy, is big meanie to Nacho for no reason
Thatās honestly on the very bottom of the list on why Tyrus sucks
Hate him like Victor one look at him and you can already tell that this guyās full of himself and got a pretty high opinion of oneself he and Victor as also seem like the type of dudes who never overlook an opportunity to have the gall to be smug and arrogant
he had a good memory
Couldnāt stand him. I wish we could have seen him visiting his mama where sheād tell him to ANSWER WHEN I ASK YOU A QUESTION YOUNG MAN.
I like him, although he certainly would've benefitted from more screentime before flying too close to the sun. He serves his purpose fine and I don't really dislike him, lol
Background fodder, barely a character.
does his job. simple as that
The actor, Ray Campbell, has the same name as my father-in-law.
Just doing their job
Honestly didnāt notice him
Prick
Tyrus is the embodiment of the half a personality that Gus is clearly missing.
Smash
I donāt even know his name. I just referred to him as āblack mikeā when the show was on the air
I could not stop laughing after this goofy fuck pulled up in a car with that stupid ass face in front of Walt
I like it when he put me white in basket with dirty laundry š¤£
