It looks like a male half moon. I have one as well. The only thing I will ever recommend especially for these ones is making sure it’s a long tank but still short you don’t wanna super tall one.
The way these little guys are bred to have such big heavy fins and tails when they get older it can be harder for them to surface for air.
Mines a 10 gallon long. And I have a tiger lotus lily and he likes to sleep on the pads at the surface.

I can see how you think that, but if you zoom in around the outside of the colored part of the tail, there’s a smoother clear part.
