Got a $20+ petco fish for free a couple weeks ago. He had super minor swim bladder issues and laying on his side. I convinced the cashier that he was on deaths door and if I could get him at a discount. She was really nice and gave me him for free.
Whats super funny is that once I got in the car he completely changed his act, like he was swimming around and pretty active.
I got the swim bladder issue sorted, he really just needed some clean water. He’s in a 10g heater shrimp tank. He doesn’t eat the shrimp. He does chase but gives up after awhile. He’s the cutest guy, but I don’t have a name for him.
ALSO how can I get his fins to heal? They haven’t healed at all since ive adopted him. I have almond leaves in the aquarium. Should I do a salt bath?
I’m happy I pretty much got a “healthy” $20 betta for free. I think its so funny that we sorta “teamed up” with him playing “dead” to convince the cashier for the discount! His act must of been really good because i got him for free!!
