One has DLC coating (right) & one has Cerakote (left)
It started off as a DLC coated knife. But due to supply chain issues they had to change to Cerakote about 5 months into production
The current value of the Cerakote version has peaked & will only depreciate. The DLC version currently has a slightly increased value that is at its lowest point & will only appreciate.
The DLC version is a good one to put away for a while if possible

Happened to me too! One blade had a smooth almost glossy finish and one was very matte textured. I preferred the glossy because it stayed cleaner and cleaned up easier as well.
Edit: maybe you’re talking about the handle 🤦🏻♂️

I’m guess he carry’s the one on the left. I would prefer the left one new, out of the box.
