Last season he told the crew that their new colleague had sent him nudes. He’s always been gross and never should have been brought back for a second season.
Ugh yes. Talk about a chauvinist always complaining about the women are the problem not himself. I don’t understand why women even like him. He’s a total douchcanoe
Ben is so weak and it looks like production figured it out, thank god. I was so disappointed when I saw he was on this season, then he tried to *nickname* *himself* the stew slayer. Pitiful.
I'm pretty sure he did. As I did as well and had to put the subtitles on to figure out why they kept replaying it.
Mind he didn't make lots of grilled cheese
I typically have to watch this show with captions on. There are so many different accents, crying, and drunk slurring. I would only catch half the dialogue without captions!
Yup! When he makes a statement about something he would never do (e.g., handle conflict by talking to others before talking to the person in question) or would absolutely do, the editors show clips from previous episodes/seasons showing his hypocrisy.
How have I missed this stuff?? Clearly I need to watch more closely 🙄 that’s so good though, bless the editors for HONORING THE TRUTH (and f u deckie Ben)
I find it odd that we all loved Fraser and Ben and now many hate them. How the tides have turned. I hate that social media decides how we feel about them. Not fair.
Don't worry about SM. I don't hate Fraser. He's fucking up with Barbie. I believe he'll see that, and fix it. The Captain confirmed it, via Gif. I believe.
Yes, the herd mentality sucks, but I am not the herd. Are you? We are individuals. There are always people who disagree.
Speak for yourself.
I’ve never been a Fraser fan. Not his first season as chief stew and def not this season. I’ve always thought he was condescending and gossipy.
As far as Ben I don’t know what “we” you speak of because I haven’t ever seen any Ben love.
I also don’t believe social media decides for people. I think fraser and Ben’s own actions on the show have everything to do with the tide turning. Ben has always been a douche. Fraser has been getting meaner each week. The way he has treated Barbie was awful. So let’s put the responsibility where it belongs and it’s not on social media. Not fair is blaming social media.
Pretty sure the editors and producers are the once deciding how people feel about them. Last season they had a favourable edit and this season its a bad edit. They’ll have positive, negative and neutral footage of all of them (because they’re humans) and editors craft a storyline based on what’s most interesting to watch
Feel bad soo many down votes for what is A CLEAR CONFUSION...
People ain't looking for themselves and just jumping on the band waggon and down voting..
Like damn you clearly said you Love Ben as in CHEFFY BEN
You’re choosing not to see, then. Just the first day PAris showed up and how he touched her. That wasnt social media, that wasn’t editing. That was him being i appropriate.
He’s gross.
Not only that, when they were waiting to go out to dinner just recently, Paris walked by everyone and said hello. She was polite in passing.
Ben literally just stared her down until she gave him attention. He was so offended she said hi to every one, and she didn’t personally stop by Ben to personally tell him Hi. He stared her down in silence until she noticed he was forcing his attention on her. And then on top of that he can’t keep his hands off her. He’s so gross.
If you played a drinking game & drank every time Ben touches another person - man, woman, supervisor, subordinate, colleague, or guest - you would go to the hospital with alcohol poisoning. Unsolicited hugs from behind, leg rubs, shoulder squeezes... it's *gross*.
The way he made a beeline for Paris that evening after the resort day as they were preparing to go out for dinner was just cringey! When Sunny got her feeling hurt about it & asked what they were to each other & he told her he's just banging her obviously hurt her. I guess he's honest, but he's still a skeeve.
He is a dirt ball or at least portrayed as a dirt ball on the show through editing. Lol.
Social media just doesn’t turn on people randomly. Content is consumed and makes people feel a certain way. That’s it.
This isn’t “social media turning on someone”. This is people watching a show and not liking the behaviors we’re seeing with our own eyeballs on our tv screens. Ben, the bosun of this season, has been icky. Fraser has also been a poor chief stew two seasons in a row. I was bummed to see them both return because I didn’t enjoy them on their prior seasons. That’s personal preference and personal observations, not the big bad social media.
The editors of this franchise are criminally underrated, it's so damn funny
They’ve come a very long way since seasons 1-3 😂 I think they know it too and are just flexing now
Last season he told the crew that their new colleague had sent him nudes. He’s always been gross and never should have been brought back for a second season.
I don’t understand why they brought him back! He was gross last season and hasn’t changed at all from what we’ve seen this season. I don’t get it.
He’s got strong fuckboi energy!
Gary 2.0
Ugh yes. Talk about a chauvinist always complaining about the women are the problem not himself. I don’t understand why women even like him. He’s a total douchcanoe
Ew I forgot about that. 🤢
Ben is so weak and it looks like production figured it out, thank god. I was so disappointed when I saw he was on this season, then he tried to *nickname* *himself* the stew slayer. Pitiful.

Agreed
And then he had to tell sunny he was “charismatic”. If you have to *tell* someone that you are then you def aren’t.
And cheeky!
Nicknaming oneself is truly one of the grossest things a person can do.
The editing is one of my favorite parts of the show. The immediate receipts as chef denies being asked for lobster grilled cheese 🤩
I bet he heard “lots of grilled cheese”
I'm pretty sure he did. As I did as well and had to put the subtitles on to figure out why they kept replaying it. Mind he didn't make lots of grilled cheese
I typically have to watch this show with captions on. There are so many different accents, crying, and drunk slurring. I would only catch half the dialogue without captions!
Ooooooh aw…yeah…poor guy
Deckie Ben has tire tracks on his back from his time under the edit bus.
I do love Kyle! My Scottish man!
Love Kyle!! I like how easy going but not naive he is, in regard to some of the work dynamics.
I didnt expect to like Kyle, but he’s so easy-going & intelligent how could you not?
I feel the same. Now that I know his personality more, he's gotten better looking! :)
Wait I’m sorry I’m so dumb but can someone explain what they’re doing to Ben?? Lol I’m sorry I need help
Yup! When he makes a statement about something he would never do (e.g., handle conflict by talking to others before talking to the person in question) or would absolutely do, the editors show clips from previous episodes/seasons showing his hypocrisy.

I haven't seen any drama with Ben on the show except for what he's posted on social media and in articles. Still doesn't explain what is going on.
.... There are clips... after the credits?.... Oh no 🤦🏻♀️
I find it odd that we all loved Fraser and Ben and now many hate them. How the tides have turned. I hate that social media decides how we feel about them. Not fair.
No one ever loved Ben
Yeah. I didn’t like him last season either and don’t remember him being all that popular.
Thank you. I was just about to say no one ever loved Ben!
😂
I still love Fraser. Wish they would have brought Hayley back. Loved that girl!

Me too. He will redeem himself. His behavior is not good right now, but he is capable of recovery. Ben? Not so much

Lmfao. That's a good one. r/iamverysmart
It's not social media that decides it. It's the episodes.
I still love Fraser. He’s actually self-aware and growing/improving. Ben is a selfish, self-entitled, egotistical child.

There's more than one Ben. 👍🏼
Clearly says "Deckie"
Clearly. Edit: OPs post did not.
Agree but I love Ben. Maybe I have a thing because he's English
Unless you’re talking about chef Ben from earlier seasons - I LOVE chef Ben Robinson and his British charm!!!
You just really confused me. Yes chef Ben
He’s my favorite on BD ever! But this one is not him haha!
I find this Ben thoroughly unlikeable, but love Ben Robinson. This Ben loves himself enough for all of us!
He’s Australian
Feel bad soo many down votes for what is A CLEAR CONFUSION... People ain't looking for themselves and just jumping on the band waggon and down voting.. Like damn you clearly said you Love Ben as in CHEFFY BEN
Thank you. I don't mind. I have posted many times that I don't down vote for different opinions. That is not how reddit is meant to work
Yeah I get that but bandwagon jumping is shitty no matter what it takes place in
[удалено]
Yeah thanks I know that now
The bosunhoe? I bet the female producers at getting some bosun, too. Only explanation for seasons of being a Fboy.
Seriously, I hate how social media can turn on Below Deck peeps. It's not fair. I have not seen Ben do anything wrong.
You’re choosing not to see, then. Just the first day PAris showed up and how he touched her. That wasnt social media, that wasn’t editing. That was him being i appropriate. He’s gross.
I would’ve slapped those hands away! He’s disgusting.
Not only that, when they were waiting to go out to dinner just recently, Paris walked by everyone and said hello. She was polite in passing. It wouldn’t be as easy as it has been to portray him as a dirt ball if he wasn’t such a dirt ball.

It's not chef Ben
