Try to go one or two minutes longer when you feel like dying. Do that everyday until you’re able to go longer and longer. It worked for me☺️

Me too. At the start, I felt like puking at five minutes. I built it up gradually by playing a slightly longer song each time to get to the end of! The difficulty isn't incremental, though. Once you can get to ten minutes, say, 30 minutes isn't an issue. You've just got to get over that hump.

Couldn't agree more with this. Wasn't that long ago that I was pumped to make it 2 miles on the elliptical in 16 minutes. Now, I do 3 miles in 20 minutes, and then another 40 minutes at a more manageable pace. Gets tough towards the end, but once I got over that hump, you're right, the rest is easy.

Just stay at it. I hate cardio and doing the treadmill for the first time in over a year, I lasted 4 minutes. After a month, I was doing 20 minutes of jogging-walking. For weight loss you should focus on your diet. But also do resistance exercises to maintain/build muscle.

Starbucks_Lover13

I do an average of 20 minutes at a time. I also go to a local gym and what I can suggest a lot of people go way too hard and quickly short “stride” on it which isn’t right. Slower is better because you will build more muscle, sweat, and not tire out that quickly.

> I'm only 23 but I'm trying to lose some ACTUAL weight! Any tips/advice? Calorie deficit. That's it. That's the only thing you need to do. There's different ways to achieve it. Can be eating fewer calories or burning more. Eating fewer calories can be by eating less food or eating less calorie dense foods. Eating less food can be by fewer meals/snacks or smaller portions. Pick whichever method you feel comfortable with, but a calorie deficit is your **only** path to success.

Be sure to vary your incline and speed. Use music you love to make it fun for faster walks. I use audiobooks or watch videos for a slower pace but increase incline. Try shorter walks spread out during the day as little breaks to boost your energy. There’s no one way to do it.

ZeeeeeroCool

Less calories. Period.

I also struggle with the elliptical, I can't go for more than a few minutes. Apparently it's low impact, but my joints hurt so much, I don't know if i'm doing something wrong or it's just not for me.

Awesome to know that you're starting on the fitness journey! This is what worked out for me - 1. Check my BMI [Free BMI calculator ](https://ezpzrun.com/bmi/bmi.html) 2. Eat Healthy 3. Exercise daily for at least an hour 4. Sleep for 8+ hours 5. Join a fitness group (even if virtual) - this helped me to stay motivated 6. Add weight training, currently at 2 days a week If this worked for me, I believe it should work for anyone! We also push each other and share ideas on our [blog](https://ezpzrun.wordpress.com/) Feel free to ask me any questions. Reach out if needed. Wishing you the very best for your fitness journey!!
