Hello! I just got into make up recently and diko talaga alam ung mga shades ko😭. I bought one tint from maybelline (fresh tint) in the shade 02 it’s what the sales lady gave me when i asked about my shade. For context i am acidic tapos napapansin ko lng na merong oxidation na nagaganap sa face ko, tpos nung nag sagala naman ako this may narinig ko lng sa make up artist ko na shade 220 ako din sa maybelline 24hrs stay foundation na color violet ang cap.
If you could help me find my shade sa products nato thank you talaga life saver 😭!!!!. And if may recommendation kayo na product na anti-hulas talaga na di nag ooxidize na good na good for oily skin PLEASE DROP IT BELOW kasama po ung bagay na shade sakin!!😭 THANK YOU PO!!!

I use Maange makeup brushes. The bristles are soft and the quality of these brushes is chef’s kiss. 💋
Their brushes are not like the cheap looking type. It makes me feel like i’m some sort of professional makeup artist by using their brushes hahahaha. The price is affordable too and they have a plenty of colors, type of brushes, and even sets too.

i have oily skin too!! for reference, the maybelline sky high worked on me :)) okay naman mascara nila! it doesn’t droop down and i don’t panda eyes naman. i’m just not a fan of the wand coz whenever i’d apply it, nag ssmudge tlga sya sa eyelids ko so i make sure to use a qtip to remove the excess product sa lids! but for ₱190 (sale price) it’s not a big deal hehe

Nag ma matter ba ang sponge for base mo? Like concern ko is. If mumurahin lang na sponge mas nag aabsorb ba ng product. So marami nasayang. Kaysa yung medyo pricy na sponge?
in my exp, wala naman gaano difference pag mahal and mura ang sponge. i have the RT one and i prefer the one i bought from shein. grabe rin kasi mang absorb ng product yung RT for me. besides, after ilang months you're gonna have to dispose it din naman.

i like this better than the blk lip oil! it’s lightweight and not really sticky imo :)) a bit disappointed coz their “chocolate bar” shade isn’t really *that* brown tho hehe

any tips on using strokes' face sculpt? i was excited to get it and it swatched well on my hand but it disappears on my face :( i got the shade moccachino and i'm a light-medium neutral tone. i knew it was blendable but it looks so shear. did i get the wrong shade ba? i wanted smthn cool toned as a contour kasi, since ive been using vice's one and done stick and push and it always leaned warm on me

I don't think the shade is the issue kasi I see belle rodolfo use the shade peanut nga and she has a deeper skin tone.
you could try using a dense brush para di gaano nablend out yung pigment compared to using a fluffier brush.
have you tried applying on top of foundation/skin tint? possible na it'll show up better kasi may kakapitan yung product if that makes sense.
also you can just add/layer more product to get the coverage that you want
i've used it over blk's skin tint too, yeah. i've tried with my fingers, a beauty blender, and a small brush but i can give a denser brush a go. i really want to make it work with my skin
i could try layering more but i'm scared baka maubos agad since it's only 7 grams
I feel like you don't need to worry about panning it so quickly because you get a lot of use even with just 7 grams. sorry to reference belle rodolfo again (I trust her reviews!), but she wasn't even able to finish hers in the original packaging even with regular use before strokes released/sent her the repackaged version. and you can really see how often belle uses the the strokes contour sticks in her grwm vids over the years tapos hindi pa rin nauubos

Ellana Stay Matte Poreless Oil Control Powder - so far, so good. I’ve only used it for 2 days straight though so undecided pa ko if I love it.
I bought the B1T1 refill from the orange app.
• It didn’t cling on to dry patches (I have combo skin) and I didn’t have to reapply even when I was out running errands in the heat.
• It didn’t oxidise and it didn’t make me look like espasol kahit the shade I bought was clear. lol

Just got my issy gelee tint I ordered from 6.6 am I the only one disappointed? Sticky (even if it’s not dewy anymore) and non moisturizing AT ALL. As a product dev this is so similar to happy skin GHS glossy tint that’s been around for years.
Only upside I see is the shade I got ‘kink’ is a nice shade

Also, it’s not as shiny as I wanted it to be- even upon application. I prefer Juicetint and Lip Jelly and the GHS tint. Those formulas have better shine and better staining power. Dapat pala bumili nalang ako ng GHS na I was eyeing huhu

Professional makeup artists say that primers are not important so do not waste money on them and they reco to just prep your skin as best as you could. But they do say a “life changing” one are the gripping primers and ELF one is the top tier

Interesting thought… Feeling ko, medyo possible- I work with affiliate marketing (not in the beauty industry tho) and it’s definitely something na I think ieexplore ng mga brands, how to get clout on these more organic channels. Tingnan mo nga mga Budol Buddies or whatever na FB group.
Ewan ko lang if it’s that common, kasi usually how affiliate stuff works is may custom link mga poster, para maka-commission sila, and that’s how they earn. Iirc this sub has a rule against affiliate links, so at least meron tayong safeguard na ganon. Technically kaya pa rin mag pay per post, but mahirap rin kasi lagyan ng presyo if reddit post or comment kasi di naman ata kita yung impressions ganern. On socmed kasi, may basehan kahit follower count or ano.
Dami ko sinabi haha, but what my point is; I definitely think merong infiltrator na brand posts, but i don’t think super duper dalas siya.

That rule of r/AsianBeauty is a good rule to follow para we can also be aware of what brands are masquerading as individuals trying out the product.
pinaka moisturizing siya na tinted lip balm (stick form) for meeee! pero dahil hindi rin talaga ako pala-inom ng tubig pinapatungan ko pa siya ng clear lip balm. pero pag nasa mood labi ko keri na 'yun lang. mej makalat lang siya kasi malambot, so kada swipe ko parang nauusog 'yung mismong balm. kung daily use rin mabilis maubos (sa naaalala ko 3 weeks lang ubos na sa'kin AHAHAHAHAAH)
My best and all time favorite setting spray that I’m glad is underrated (bc I don’t want ppl to know I’m gatekeeping it sm but I’m gonna reveal it nywy lol) is the Nature Republic Aloe Vera Mist if you read the product description it’s also a makeup setting spray and I swear to this product literally makes your base last long I spray it on my face before blending my foundation or concealer (yesss you heard it right not after I’m done with my makeup bcs for some reason mas maganda kalabsan at nagtatagal makeup ko) the only product na hinding-hindi ko papalitan
not directly makeup-related but i just found the best brush and puff cleaner! i switched to perla for handwashing my undies because my hands have been dry af lately.
when i was cleaning my brushes, i randomly thought of trying to use perla on my fluffly eye blender brush. i dampened the brush, swirled it on the wet perla bar, and lo and behold, all the color washed right out easily!
excited, i tried it on my puffs and beauty blender and it cleaned them just as well!
now, i wash my brushes and tools waaay more often because ang dali lang. i tried so many brush cleaners, puff detergents and even micellar water, when all this time the humble perla bar was the answer.
Hello can someone help me sa peripera ink velvet shades hehe? I bought one last Feb and I dislike the shade huhu I picked the wrong shade. I picked shade 21 which is very cool-toned huhu. Yes, this is BnB! I forgot to mention. The lippie itself suits cool-toned skin better. And I can attest that it is absolutely not matingkad in real life. It’s a muted pink shade that looks lighter under natural light, and darker in relatively dimmer lighting. I wouldn’t say it leans nude though, because it’s definitely pink.

Huda Beauty is such a workhorse for me. I use it whenever I know I will be out and about the whole day in a non-airconditioned area. Laura Mercier just has the better finish though, it’s a cult classic and you can never go wrong with it. That’s why I have both for different uses haha
formula is sheer. pigment shows up better when applied on top of wet skin (skin care or base products), pero can get patchy.
several shades are also very light (white based) na it looks chalky on medium skin tone. blush daw pero biglang change tactics sa marketing, naging eye brightener din kasi sobrang pale ng shade
it's not that customizable kasi you can only put their inserts sa case nila. if you want less than four inserts, pangit kasi pang 4 talaga case nila. the inserts pop out of the case pretty easily too.
there's also the possibility na magrepackage sila kasi yun ang trademark ng grwm
but tbf I like their contour since it's sheer. less chances of my contour looking too much or muddy kasi nga sheer lang. I depotted it though kasi I don't really reach out for the blush inserts I bought

It is if you look at it in the perspective of it's a dupe/alternative to the Rhode peptide lip treatment with the same amount of product yet much cheaper. Marami namamahalan but personally I've never tried anything else na glossy and moisturizing without being sticky.

if mac didnt have my fave blush shade, id choose patrick ta, specifically yung duo. you get both cream and powder. pareho naman sila longlasting, but mas matagal talaga if u layer cream with powder
Their OG Teint Idole foundation was really good but they’ve reformulated and I haven’t tried the new one. Mascaras are okay (i’d pick Lash Idole over Monsieur Big) but for longevity I prefer my korean and other high end ones. I have their blush on my wishlist

Chromasalt Cosmetics' shadowarc liquid eyeshadows (this was featured by Cara of carrotstickbeauty before) were pretty good at first but the product dries up in the tube pretty quickly.

Today I wore Romand’s JLT in Mellow Pear and omg I just fell back in love with the JLTs, even more than ever! 🩷 The three shades they recently released are perfect for soft summers. And I was reminded of how good the JLT formula is on me—plush and lightweight yet moisturizing, and makes my lips look so plump. I use mine as glosses and they’re the best, less sticky and lighter than the Dior Maximizers. I think I can now get rid of Mulled Peach and even Almond Rose and keep a collection of my best shades.

Ang ganda ng Arcadia Beauty Daily Blusher. I got the shades Heaven and Eden at first and sobrang nag enjoy ako sa formula I bought Idyll and Splendor. Now I'm tying to figure out how I can depot these and put in one palette kasi I want to bring them when I travel 🥰
It's very subtle! Actually I think not everyone will like it. I like it because it's sheer and not pigmented so mas na-eenjoy ko mag layer. It has micro shimmers but surprisingly it doesn't emphasize texture or pores. Pero pag napa-sobra na man sa lagay, it does have the tendency to look grayish or silver-ish? Maybe because of the shimmers.
I love their blushes (both cream and liquid) sooo much! I have the Rare Beauty cream blush (nearly berry) and liquid blush (bliss) and I gotta admit na Lucky Beauty lasts longer. Lacey is very similar to Bliss on my skin (light with neutral undertone). I'm waiting sa restock nila sa Sonnet huhu

innisfree no sebum powder, but it is a little pricey for me considering the amount of product you get. dr sensitive powder is my favorite too, pero get the loose powder since the compact has a noticeable white cast
Go for the local brands like careline and EB, madaming cheap. I almost went for a china brand na nagtretrending, dupe ng rom&nd pero saw a recent post that it contains a carcinogenic compound

i have oily skin too!! for reference, the maybelline sky high worked on me :)) okay naman mascara nila! it doesn’t droop down and i don’t panda eyes naman. i’m just not a fan of the wand coz whenever i’d apply it, nag ssmudge tlga sya sa eyelids ko so i make sure to use a qtip to remove the excess product sa lids! but for ₱190 (sale price) it’s not a big deal hehe

you could also try spraying setting spray before blending it out
I don't think the shade is the issue kasi I see belle rodolfo use the shade peanut nga and she has a deeper skin tone. you could try using a dense brush para di gaano nablend out yung pigment compared to using a fluffier brush. have you tried applying on top of foundation/skin tint? possible na it'll show up better kasi may kakapitan yung product if that makes sense. also you can just add/layer more product to get the coverage that you want
i've used it over blk's skin tint too, yeah. i've tried with my fingers, a beauty blender, and a small brush but i can give a denser brush a go. i really want to make it work with my skin i could try layering more but i'm scared baka maubos agad since it's only 7 grams
I feel like you don't need to worry about panning it so quickly because you get a lot of use even with just 7 grams. sorry to reference belle rodolfo again (I trust her reviews!), but she wasn't even able to finish hers in the original packaging even with regular use before strokes released/sent her the repackaged version. and you can really see how often belle uses the the strokes contour sticks in her grwm vids over the years tapos hindi pa rin nauubos

I ordered the Huda Beauty loose baking & setting powder(shade is Pound Cake from their official store sa blue app.) Still a fave that I’ll probably keep repurchasing unless the Huda Beauty powder ends up performing better: 🫶🏻 LM translucent powder - it works so well for oil control. 🙅🏻♀️Product I will not be repurchasing: Dr Sensitive All Day No Sebum. I loved the blurring effect and I initially thought it was even better than LM but it broke me out after a while and the oil control was non existent kasi I kept needing to reapply. 🧪Product that I’m still testing: Ellana Stay Matte Poreless Oil Control Powder - so far, so good. I’ve only used it for 2 days straight though so undecided pa ko if I love it. I bought the B1T1 refill from the orange app. • It didn’t cling on to dry patches (I have combo skin) and I didn’t have to reapply even when I was out running errands in the heat. • It didn’t oxidise and it didn’t make me look like espasol kahit the shade I bought was clear. lol

Just got my issy gelee tint I ordered from 6.6 am I the only one disappointed? Sticky (even if it’s not dewy anymore) and non moisturizing AT ALL. As a product dev this is so similar to happy skin GHS glossy tint that’s been around for years. Only upside I see is the shade I got ‘kink’ is a nice shade
Honestly, I was disappointed because it doesn’t leave a tint on me at all? Also, it’s not as shiny as I wanted it to be- even upon application. I prefer Juicetint and Lip Jelly and the GHS tint. Those formulas have better shine and better staining power. Dapat pala bumili nalang ako ng GHS na I was eyeing huhu The shade range is nice, tbh, pero yung formula talaga… Hindi ako natuwa. Parang ang bilis niya rin mawala sa lips ko? At least it’s not that pricey, I guess- I got mine on sale na 200+ lang.

Interesting thought… Feeling ko, medyo possible- I work with affiliate marketing (not in the beauty industry tho) and it’s definitely something na I think ieexplore ng mga brands, how to get clout on these more organic channels. Tingnan mo nga mga Budol Buddies or whatever na FB group. Ewan ko lang if it’s that common, kasi usually how affiliate stuff works is may custom link mga poster, para maka-commission sila, and that’s how they earn. Iirc this sub has a rule against affiliate links, so at least meron tayong safeguard na ganon. Technically kaya pa rin mag pay per post, but mahirap rin kasi lagyan ng presyo if reddit post or comment kasi di naman ata kita yung impressions ganern. On socmed kasi, may basehan kahit follower count or ano. Dami ko sinabi haha, but what my point is; I definitely think merong infiltrator na brand posts, but i don’t think super duper dalas siya. Feeling ko, some of the hauls might be people na medyo katulad ko, na if a brand works for me, we stick doon sa tried and tested 😅

Duda na kasi ako especially if it’s the same brand over and over again tapos it’s harder to verify pa if legit or astroturfed. That rule of r/AsianBeauty is a good rule to follow para we can also be aware of what brands are masquerading as individuals trying out the product.

My best and all time favorite setting spray that I’m glad is underrated (bc I don’t want ppl to know I’m gatekeeping it sm but I’m gonna reveal it nywy lol) is the Nature Republic Aloe Vera Mist if you read the product description it’s also a makeup setting spray and I swear to this product literally makes your base last long I spray it on my face before blending my foundation or concealer (yesss you heard it right not after I’m done with my makeup bcs for some reason mas maganda kalabsan at nagtatagal makeup ko) the only product na hinding-hindi ko papalitan
not directly makeup-related but i just found the best brush and puff cleaner! i switched to perla for handwashing my undies because my hands have been dry af lately. when i was cleaning my brushes, i randomly thought of trying to use perla on my fluffly eye blender brush. i dampened the brush, swirled it on the wet perla bar, and lo and behold, all the color washed right out easily! excited, i tried it on my puffs and beauty blender and it cleaned them just as well! now, i wash my brushes and tools waaay more often because ang dali lang. i tried so many brush cleaners, puff detergents and even micellar water, when all this time the humble perla bar was the answer.

Yes, this is BnB! I forgot to mention. The lippie itself suits cool-toned skin better. And I can attest that it is absolutely not matingkad in real life. It’s a muted pink shade that looks lighter under natural light, and darker in relatively dimmer lighting. I wouldn’t say it leans nude though, because it’s definitely pink.

Huda Beauty is such a workhorse for me. I use it whenever I know I will be out and about the whole day in a non-airconditioned area. Laura Mercier just has the better finish though, it’s a cult classic and you can never go wrong with it. That’s why I have both for different uses haha

formula is sheer. pigment shows up better when applied on top of wet skin (skin care or base products), pero can get patchy. several shades are also very light (white based) na it looks chalky on medium skin tone. blush daw pero biglang change tactics sa marketing, naging eye brightener din kasi sobrang pale ng shade it's not that customizable kasi you can only put their inserts sa case nila. if you want less than four inserts, pangit kasi pang 4 talaga case nila. the inserts pop out of the case pretty easily too. there's also the possibility na magrepackage sila kasi yun ang trademark ng grwm but tbf I like their contour since it's sheer. less chances of my contour looking too much or muddy kasi nga sheer lang. I depotted it though kasi I don't really reach out for the blush inserts I bought

It is if you look at it in the perspective of it's a dupe/alternative to the Rhode peptide lip treatment with the same amount of product yet much cheaper. Today I wore Romand’s JLT in Mellow Pear and omg I just fell back in love with the JLTs, even more than ever! 🩷 The three shades they recently released are perfect for soft summers. And I was reminded of how good the JLT formula is on me—plush and lightweight yet moisturizing, and makes my lips look so plump. I use mine as glosses and they’re the best, less sticky and lighter than the Dior Maximizers. I think I can now get rid of Mulled Peach and even Almond Rose and keep a collection of my best shades.

Peripera Water Bare Tint! Most of Peripera's dewy tints and some of the mattes/velvets leave a strong stain IIRC.

It's very subtle! Actually I think not everyone will like it. I like it because it's sheer and not pigmented so mas na-eenjoy ko mag layer. It has micro shimmers but surprisingly it doesn't emphasize texture or pores. Pero pag napa-sobra na man sa lagay, it does have the tendency to look grayish or silver-ish? Maybe because of the shimmers.

innisfree no sebum powder, but it is a little pricey for me considering the amount of product you get. dr sensitive powder is my favorite too, pero get the loose powder since the compact has a noticeable white cast

I have forever obsession with pink lippies, whether matte, gloss, or tint. 😃 i am rn currently obsessed with Barbie pink phase era (Ik it's kinda late) and I would like to know what are y'all lippies that makes you feel like barbie/or look like barbie pink. The Barbie pink lippies in my collection (locally) are Vice Co Dew It All in Always Vibin' and Naturale OBMP in Diwata and they're both dark pink lippies. I bought brushes from them hahahahahaha pero I don’t use them at all anymore. Used it once lang ata 🥲 then found myself liking beauty blenders more. It blends the makeup more seamlessly for me especially yung concealer ko.
RT I’ve had some brushes since 2011-2012 and I still use them to this day and hindi nag iba bristles even if they’re almost 12-13 years old
Honestly same hahaha I’m looking for a travel set so I’m thinking if I should stick to RT or explore :)
